This study reviews articles in published in the The Journal of Korean Biblio Society for Library and Information Science (JKBSLIS) over 5 years from 2010 to 2014 for identifying the academic characteristics and the recent research trends of the JKBSLIS. 300 articles of JKBSLIS are analyzed in terms of bibliometric factors, research theme, methodology, author keywords, and intellectual structure comparing with 344 articles of the Journal of Korean Society for Library and Information Science (JKSLIS) and 283 articles of the Journal of Korean Society for Information Management (JKOSIM). In results, there is no differences between JKBSLIS and the other two journals, JKSLIS and JKOSIM regards on bibliometric factors. The domain research areas in the JKBSLIS are 'Information Services', 'Library Management' and 'Reading Education'. It is also found that the most popular methods are 'survey' and 'case study' and that the main research areas in the shown intellectual structure are 'public library & reading', 'academic library & collection management', and 'school library & information literacy education'.

This study develops a methodology for facet-based subject headings for the subject access to oral history records collected by such a project of the knit business in Haebangchon. First, the concept and characteristics of oral history records and their contents were investigated, and the meaning of facets and subject headings applied to such content was examined in the literature review. Second, the basic facets of oral history records were created based on 5W1H that reflected the narrative feature of oral history. Third, 540 subject-related terms were selected through an analysis of the transcript written based on oral history interviews with one interviewer and seven interviewees linked to the knit business in Haebangchon. Fourth and last, subject headings were proposed with the selected subject-related terms categorized in facets with various relationships. These facet-based subject headings will improve the subject access and use of oral history records.

Researchers often cite Internet-based information as references for their research papers, and the amount of this type of citation has continued to grow, which resulted in the increased significance of Internet-based academic resources. This study first examines the current trend of citing Internet-based resources in the academic communication process of all academic fields, and then attempts to analyze the factors, such as gender and age, affecting this trend and its consequences in the specific area of LIS in Korea. For this, the author adopt both citation analysis and statistical analysis as research methods. Overall increase of citing internet-based resource is confirmed in all academic fields. Specific analysis of the LIS field revealed that gender is related with the degree of usage, and the age with whether or not adopting this type of citation. Meanwhile, the subject area of the researchers is related with both whether or not adopting this method and the degree of it. This study provides understanding current status of increased utilization of Internet-based resources in academic communications, and further makes suggestions for the effective academic communication of the future.

The purpose of this research is to compare the opinions of three different groups - subject specialist librarians(group I) . students of department programs(group II) and students of college programs(group III) - as to whether these groups have a different way of thinking from each other concerning a general culture for subject specialist librarianship. Questionnaire are carried out for this research and the responses analyzed to draw a conclusion. Major findings are as follows: 1) The subject specialist librarianship to be important to all three groups and a desirable academic career of group I shows a tendency to have both B.A. degree in the subjet field and M.A. degree in library & information science, $15.3\%$ of group II and $82.9\%$ of group III appear to be belonging to either minor or double major programs, 2) the 37-45 major credits to be ideal to group I & III, and 46-55 group II, 3) a knowledge in 'Computer' and 'English' is mostly demanded to all three groups as the general culture for subject apecialist librarianship, 4) theoretical courses to be very important to group I and technical courses to group II & III, 5) the collection and access of library materials to be regarded to all three groups as an important role for future librarians.

This study analyzes the intellectual structure in domestic research of the Housing field, by utilizing text mining technique. Unlike the existing research that mainly uses text clustering in statistical analyses to identify subject specialties, core authors, and relationships between research areas, this study applied author profiling and factor analysis. To supplement the analysis of intellectual structure generated by text mining, and to perform evaluation on intellectual structure itself, two professionals in the housing field were interviewed. The intellectual structure, generated through text mining, was evaluated and showed its division of valid research areas that is slightly different from the traditional intellectual structure in the housing field.

본 연구는 조선후기문헌의 대부분을 점유하고 있는 당쟁관계문헌의 1차적인 평가기준을 제시하여 한국학 분야의 주제전문사서에게 조선후기자료에 대한 평가와 이용지도에 도움이 될 수 있게 함이 목적이다. 역사적 사건별로 동일사건에 대해, 연구대상으로 선정한 문헌의 서술태도와 관점을 분석한 결과, 각 문헌이 저자의 소속당파에 따라 편파적으로 기술됐음을 확인하였다. 그러므로 조선후기의 당쟁관계문헌은 도서의 일반적인 평가기준에 선행해 저자의 당파적성향고찰을 1차적인 평가기준으로 삼아야 한다.

The purpose of this study is to derive a major trend through exhaustive search of papers contained in "Journal of Korean Library and Information Science Society" that has been published for 40 years. Therefore, 1,365 papers published in "Journal of Korean Library and Information Science Society" from 1974 to 2013 were analyzed. The analysis criteria include detailed subject and joint research status, research fund supporting, research area etc. The analysis results are as follows. First, as for research topics, papers on library and information science were the most, 452 papers followed by resource organization, 213 papers. The rest was found in the order of information service 188, information science 155 papers, reading guidance 101, library management 91, bibliography 84, collection development 58, archives and records management 20 papers. Through this, it was analyzed that information science is on an increasing trend while bibliography is on an decreasing trend and records management shows sluggish production. Second, as for research fund supporting, it turned out that 428 papers were funded and 315 papers among them were supported by the university while the remaining 108 papers were supported by the government. Third, joint research is on an increasing trend and unlike the fact that there have been no papers for early, papers were found to increase up to 303 papers for recent. Fourth, unlike the early phenomenon concentrated in Daegu, research areas showed even distribution throughout the country in recent years. This showed that it has grown from certain area-based academic journal to nationwide academic journal.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the trends of reading research in Korea. A total of 191 research articles were selected from 3 journals in Library and Information Science. Articles were analyzed in the aspects of research subjects, research methods, author types, and research funds. The writer discussed the problems shown in the articles and suggested some recommendations for the development of reading research.

This study used content analysis to examine research methods and trends of the user study articles from 1991 to 2003. Analysis measured research subjects, research method, data collection methods, data analysis methods, hypotheses. The average yearly papers in the case of scholarly journal - 2.8 pieces. The year published the largest number of papers is 2001. The order of the number of papers information behavior, user study, user interface, user education, OPAC use. Used research methods are literature search and survey research, data analysis methods are $X^2$, correlation and T-test.

Aims of subject specialist librarian's education is an improvement of their professionalism which could reinforce librarians' ability to achieve their speciality. The curriculum should be competency based one which could gain knowledge and skills to accomplish subject librarian services. The study aims to suggest competency based curriculum that is needed for specialist librarian's work. The study proposes six educational courses and fifteen subjects. Six courses are as followings: resource development, information services, library marketing, user education, subject research, and library administration.
