The purpose of this study is to devise a rational rules for headings in a new Korean Cataloging Rules. To achieve this purpose, this study has analyzed the Statement of Principles of ICCP, AACR, AACR2, AACR2R, KCR2, KCR3.1, KORMARC on Disc etc. And then it studied the problems resulting from the analysis and described a new and rational cataloging rules for headings. To distinguish those different persons of the same name, It need to be add a subject name belong to the author that distinguish different person of the same name. And so devised a rational subject name list. And the guidline for authority control or authority entry to control the headings will be based upon GARE. The guideline will be integrated in the rules for headings.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of contracting out public libraries. in order to contribute to the promotion of their effective operation in Korea. Three public libraries which are currently operated by 'contracting out' are selected to be reviewed for this study. Their performance are analyzed by means of literature search, questionnaires, and on-the-spot-survey. Investigated in detail are the following issues: First, the need for and background of 'contracting out' public library services, and their present state in Korea: Second. the pros and cons of 'contracting out' public library services; Third, the outcomes of public library services which have been currently contracted out. Finally, based on the aforementioned findings, a future model of 'contracting out' public library services is proposed, Also suggested are the strategies for furthering the effective management of public libraries.

목적 : 다음과 같은 fluoxetine으로 유발된 조증 증례를 보고한다. 이와 함께 fluoxetine사용이후 보고된 조증 증례보고를 모아서 정리하고 함께 문헌고찰을 하였다. 증례요약 : 가족력상 기분장애의 병력이 없었으며, 다른 주요 정신과적 질환의 병력은 없었다. 환아는 개인력상 5세경에 주의력 결핍, 과잉행동의 양상을 보였던 병력이 있었고, 13세때에 피해 망상, 환청이 지속되어 haloperidol로 치료받기 시작하였다. 이후 피해 망상의 내용을 언급하거나 환청에 영향받는 행동은 없어졌고 간혹 우울감을 호소하였다. 이후 정신분열증의 진단 하에 haloperidol만으로 3년간 유지하였다. 1994년 환아는 18세때 고3이 되면서 대입에 대한 걱정과 신체적인 허약감을 자주 호소하며, 우울증상이 두드려져 fluoxetine 20mg를 3일간 투여하던 중 갑자기 조증의 임상적 양상을 보이기 시작하여 본원의 입원치료를 받게 되었는데, 입원당시 보인 임상양상은 앙양된 기분, 이자극성(irritability), 사고의 비약, 연상의 이완과 지리멸렬, 과대망상, 피해망상, 관계망상, 환청 등이었고 사람, 장소, 시간에 대한 지남력까지 일시적으로 상실되는 심헌 정신병적 조증상태였다. 토의 : fluoxetine 사용이후 현재까지 세계적으로 문헌상 보고된 14개의 증례보고를 모아서 정리하였다. fluoxetine-induced mania의 병태생리학적인 기전은 명확하지 않지만 가능한 기전에 대해 토론하였다. 이 약물의 중대한 부작용중의 하나인 조증을 예방하기 위해, 이 약물을 다루는 의사는 가능한 조증 발병의 위험인자들에 대하여 인식하고, 약물의 용량조절시에도 주의를 하여야 한다. 가능한 발병 위험인자들에 관해서도 검토하였다.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze open access policies of overseas public funding institutions and to suggest considerations to develop policies in Korea. Policy documents, related literature researches, homepage of major public funding institutions in US, UK, China, Japan, EU have been reviewed to investigate background, components and contents of policies. As results of this research, it was found that most institutions have their mandatory policies, which beneficiaries deposit their publications resulting from publicly funded research to repositories. In addition, they have been advanced policies to expand deposit agents and objectives, to improve the repository, to reduce the embargo period.

The purpose of this study is to develop a model of a liaison training program for academic librarians in Korea. The liaison training program model has been developed based upon the literature review and surveys about liaison training practices in foreign countries Expert interviews and case analyses were conducted to demonstrated its feasibility and applicability. This study found that this model identifies core competencies of academic liaison librarians and it helped developing guidelines by the level of each task: basic and advanced exercises, references, and worksheets.

This study aims at developing subject guides for the disabled to provide service effectively. Subject guide and service models are developed on the basis of reference, case study, and user requests analysis and information types in areas are determined. Information types for collecting and building information resources are classified into types are subordinate and also metadata by information types are developed. Subject guides based on customized services contain information, disability type, service target, life-cycle, media type, and organizations.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the characteristics and limitations of community information services and to explore an activation strategies. Included in this study are as follows: (1) investigate what is an appropriate representative term through the history of terminology related to community information services, (2) examine how community information services are operated in the regional central libraries from the librarian's perspective, (3) suggest the directions of community information services. The data were collected literature studies and interview with 20 librarians in regional central libraries.

This study focuses on the development of checklist on articulating reading appreciation, which will be used as the initial data for book recommendation for library users. As reading comprehension is prerequisite for reading appreciation, researchers analyzed research articles on reading comprehension to find out the core factors on reading comprehension and categorize them. Studies on reader response theory and literacy education were also examined: key words and phrases that will stimulate readers' response to reading were extracted and formed as questions. These questions were reviewed by experts on reading education. The final checklist consists of 14 questions - 4 questions on literal·inferential comprehension, 3 on evaluative comprehension, and 3 on appreciative comprehension.

The purpose of this study was to focus on the discussion on the introduction of the librarian qualification certification system, which is being discussed as a way to raise the qualification level of experts as a system for expert certification and to raise social awareness as experts. First, the introduction of the library and information science curriculum certification system was discussed. Second, the issues to be considered when introducing the certification system were discussed. In other words, we analyzed in depth what matters we should consider when discussing the certification system. Third, the components of domestic and overseas certification systems were investigated and analyzed, and measures applicable to the librarian qualification certification system were discussed. Fourth, it was proposed to introduce a certification system for the Department of Library and Information Science. Also, based on the results of the analysis, it was suggested what could be a problem when introducing the certification system to the Department of Library and Information Science in Korea and what contents should be reviewed. In this study, in order to propose the introduction of the librarian qualification certification system, the purpose of the librarian qualification certification system, the certification criteria, the certification institution, and the contrast between the university and the Department of Library and Information Science were also dealt with in detail.

Based on the results of previous evaluation studies, a quality based evaluation model applicable to academic libraries in Korea was developed. Focusing on output measures, 25 indicators in 7 catagories are defined. For each indicators, data collection method along with measuring process is established. And norms and evaluation scales are also provided. The concluding section suggests several areas for implementation and future research.
