The primary questions addressed by this research are the followings: Have the OPAC interfaces of elementary school libraries been designed user-friendly; What difficulties do OPAC searchers experience in using OPACs; How do they perceive the system after searching it; Finding the answers of those questions the problems of OPAC as a searching tool were grasped and recommendations were suggested in order to improve the system. An experiment was conducted and 35 elementary school students performed 5 searching tasks. The searching behavior of OPAC searchers was analyzed thoroughly. The data of their perceptions about the system was collected through a questionnaire after completing the tasks.

SNS is emerging as an academic and social interest, as Facebook and Twitter are developed explosively. But, SNS has a problem of exposing user's privacy because it is originated by exchanging user's personal information and opinion. This paper proposes SNS user privacy protecting model using data separation and false data information instead of blocking which is using to protect user's personal privacy. The proposed model do not let the third party extract precise information after collecting user's context information by adding false information to separated context information. Also, it gets user's agreement beforehand if SNS service provider uses user's information not to be used illegally by the third party.

This article reviews the research products on user instruction of Korean university libraries. The focus is on identifying the trend, main features, and limitations of the relevant literature, with emphasis on both contents and methodology. To the end, 127 journal articles and theses are collected and analyzed, which have been produced since the mid-1970s. As a result, it is recognized the advanced research are not useful enough to be a knowledge base of Korean reference librarians, who have endeavored to improve the qualities of their user instruction programs. Above all, the advanced research turned out to be too much dependent on American theories and practices, instead of focusing on both indigenous phenomena and substantial problems which have been inherent in Korean university libraries.

도서관을 찾는 사람은 늘고 있으나, 읽는 책은 베스트셀러에 한정됐다. <출판저널>이 '독서의 달'을 맞아 전국 도서관 사서들을 대상으로 도서관 이용자의 독서경향에 대해 설문조사한 결과, 교육환경의 개선과 IMF여파로 이용자 수는 증가했으나, 도서구입예산과 독서 프로그램 부족으로 도서관에서 이뤄지는 독서는 문학 등 특정 분야에 편중되고 있다는 사실이 밝혀졌다. 학생들의 대출 건수는 꾸준히 늘어 강화군립도서관만 하더라도 전체 대출의 55%가 학생이다. 다른 도서관도 사정은 같아 학생들이 하교하는 오후 시간대에 가장 이용률이 높다. 최근에는 실직인구가 늘면서 성인 남자의 이용률도 높아졌다. 오미순 사서(해운대도서관)는 "IMF 여파로 취업.창업 관련서의 이용률이 늘고 있으며 그 이용자 대부분은 성인"이라고 밝혔고 성은정 사서(부여도서관) 역시 "IMF사태 이후, 성인 남자들의 이용률이 높다"고 응답했다. 하지만 문제는 도서관이 보유한 책이 베스트셀러에 국한돼 다양한 독서가 이뤄지지 않는다는 점. 조사결과, 이용자들은 <아리랑>, <하늘이여 땅이여>, <남자의 향기>, <토지> 등을 많이 찾는 것으로 집계됐다. 심지어는 로맨스소설이나 무협소설이 청소년들의 읽을거리로 제공되는 실정. 사정은 특수도서관도 마찬가지다. 어린이도서관의 경우, 어린이.성인 모두 문학류를 많이 찾고 점자도서관의 경우, 전체대출 중 80%가 소설류다. 구본일 사서(강화도서관)는 "예산이 부족해 이용자들이 많이 찾는 베스트셀러를 중심으로 구입할 수밖에 없다"고 밝히고 "다양한 책을 갖출 수 있도록 도서구입비 확충이 시급하다"고 주장했다. 또 알맞은 독서 프로그램이 없는 점도 이용자들의 베스트셀러 편중현상에 한몫을 담당했다. 진재호 사서(광주도서관)는 "과거보다 독서생활화가 고조됐지만, 양서를 읽는 독서문화의 부족"을, 김선연 사서(어린이도서관)는 "유아시절부터 성인까지 자연스레 고전을 읽게 하는 제도적 장치의 확충"을 지적했다. 한편 월평균 대출권수는 대도시 지역의 경우 11,000-45,000권, 그 외 지역은 1,600-6,000권, 특수도서관은 어린이도서관이 55,000권, 전화나 우편으로 대출하는 점자도서관이 650권이다. 관내열람만 허용되는 사회과학도서관은 월평균 이용자가 7,676명으로 대학생.대학원생.교수 등이 전체의 68%를 차지한다.

본 내용은 전자 정보를 이용하는데 있어서 어려운 점에 대한 논의로 온라인, CD-롬 그리고 웹소스 내에 정보의 주된 차이점을 나타내고 있다. 정보 매체에 관하여 특별히 참고하기 위해 1992년부터 1996년까지의 Arhus 공공 도서관 비즈니스 정보서비스 자료 이용률을 분석했다. 1994년 이후 열람횟수가 감소되었는데, 이는 (1) 온라인 데이터베이스 사용자수의 증가, (2) CD-롬 형태로 제공되는 비즈니스 정보의 증가 (3)인터넷의 확산으로 설명할 수 있다. 전자 정보 서비스 시장에 관한 DGXIII 보고서로부터의 최신 정보가 포함되어 있다. 미래의 전자 정보 이용자들에게 일반적으로 요구되는 것은 더 전문적인 태도와 진보된 검색방법이다. '웹 정보 교육'의 개념이 정의되었고 두 가지 관련된 것으로 (1) 인터넷과 인터넷의 자원에 관한 지식과 (2) 인터넷 이용자의 주된 이용방법에 대한 혁신이 토론되었다.

본 연구의 한계는 설문대상이 주로 대학생들로 나타나 표본선정에 있어 고루 분포되지 못한 직업군 등으로 연구결과의 대표성에 문제가 제기된다. 또한, 이용자들이 피자 배달 전문점에 어떠한 이미지를 가지고 있는지에 관한 부분들이 결여되어 있다. 따라서, 향후 연구 과제에 대한 제안으로 인구통계적 특성이나 라이프스타일에 따른 보다 구체적인 피자 배달 전문점의 서비스 품질 등을 가미한 연구가 필요할 것이며, 이용자들의 피자 배달 전문점의 서비스품질에 대한 정확한 지각을 측정하기 위해서는 지각된 품질을 구성하는 보다 심층적인 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다. 향후 과제로 이러한 부족한 점들을 보완한 연구가 요구되어진다고 사료된다.

This study examined issues of copyright relating to digitization of bibliographic data, copyrighted works, factual data, and manpower's data that the library have. It analyzed issues of copyright relating to the use of digital works and linking. Also It investigated legal issues related information service for user in the library and digital transmission service on need of user out of the library. Finally. this paper proposed basic task for solving issues of copyright in the context of digital libraries.

지금까지 전자저널 서비스를 대상으로 한 연구는 정보원으로써의 전자저널에 대한 접근성의 문제나 비용문제에 중점을 두고 이루어져왔으며, 전자저널 서비스에 대한 이용자집단의 정보이용행태에 관한 연구는 대학교수를 대상으로 수행된 것 외에는 거의 찾아볼 수가 없었다. 본 연구의 목적은 대학도서관의 주요 이용자집단 중의 하나인 대학원생, 특히 인문계열과 공학계열 대학원생들의 전자저널에 대한 정보 요구 및 이용행태에 관해 과학적${\cdot}$체계적인 분석을 통하여 대학도서관이 효율적인 전자저널 서비스를 수행하는데 있어서의 기초 자료를 제공하는데 있다.

Economic development has resulted in the concentration of population and industry in the metropolitan area. Additionally, the Republic of Korea is experiencing this phenomenon, with more than half of the population living in the Seoul capital area. To alleviate this concentration of population, the Korean government implemented the new town development policy. Unfortunately, this has led to an increase in the commuting population, causing an imbalance in transportation services due to financial and policy differences in each region. This paper analyzes the level of user satisfaction with mega commuting in three aspects: mobility, accessibility, and connectivity. To objectively assess the level of user satisfaction, which is qualitative data, the Rasch Model is used to analyze the collinearity of user data. The results indicate that the level of user satisfaction differs by region, and service satisfaction with mobility is lower than that with accessibility and connectivity. Therefore, prior to the introduction of new town policies, it is necessary to develop metropolitan transportation infrastructure.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how individuals assess Chinese, Japanese, and Korean (CJK) transliterated bibliographic information on current library catalogs. Two separate studies, a survey and an experiment, were conducted using the WorldCat system. Users noted that Romanization has many issues which can inhibit user‘s ability to understand the transliterated bibliographic information even when it is in the person’s own native language and even when the individual had extensive experience with transliteration systems. The experimental results also supported these findings: participants had better results and satisfaction when looking for information written in English than when searching for transliterated information written in their native language. Implications for future research suggests a need to investigate user preferences for translation vs. transliteration of bibliographic information. This study proposes consideration of using English translation as a parallel link with CJK Romanization for bibliographic information.
