  • 본 논문에서는 스마트 폰 사용자가 회의나 다른 일정상의 이유로 걸려오는 전화를 받을 수 없을 때, 사용자를 대신해 자동으로 응답 문자 메시지를 보내주는 편의 서비스의 설계와 구현에 대해 소개한다. 이 서비스는 선행 연구를 통해 개발된 스마트 스크립트 시스템의 실행 엔진과 사건-주도 스크립트를 이용해 구현되었다. 스마트 스크립트 시스템은 인공지능 자동 계획 기술을 바탕으로 개발된 모바일 퍼스널 어시스턴트 개발도구이다. 본 논문에서는 실험을 통해 스마트 스크립트 시스템 및 자동 문자 응답 서비스의 편리성과 효율성을 분석해본다.

Effects of a Short Message Service Intervention on Adherence to Maximal Sterile Barrier Precautions and Catheter-Related Blood Stream Infections (최대한의 멸균 차단법의 이행도와 중심정맥관 관련 혈류감염 발생에 대한 단문문자메시지 중재 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a short message service intervention on adherence to maximal barrier precautions (MBP) and catheter-related blood stream infections. Method: The data were collected from March to September, 2008, at an 826-bed university-affiliated hospital in Daejeon. The study participants were 24 physicians who were inserting central catheters and 133 patients (control group 78 and intervention group 55) with central catheter insertions. The researcher sent the message (adherence to MBP and optimal recommendations) to each internal medicine doctor using the short message service (SMS) for cellular phones. Messages were sent monthly for 3 months. Data were analyzed by chi-square test and t-test using SPSS 12.0 windows program. Result: Adherence to maximal barrier precautions was significantly increased from 44.9% to 69.1% (p=.006) after the SMS intervention. But changes in the rate of CRBSI (catheter related blood stream infection) between the intervention group (1.89) and the control group (4.45) were not significant (p=.323). Conclusions: The results indicate that the SMS intervention is effective in increasing the adherence to maximal barrier precautions and the SMS intervention can be recommended for utilization in infection control nursing practice.

  • Due to the recent advancements of mobile telecommunication technology and high mobile phone penetration rate, researches on emergency text alert service for enhancing the accessibility have been actively conducted. The worldwide spread of COVID-19 further accelerates the efforts for the alert services. Existing emergency text services are simple and efficient. However, unclear reception area may cause unintended alert messages frequently. In this paper, we analyze survey results regarding the 5G-based text-alert services to derive service requirements for technological advancement. Then we propose an emergency disaster text service scenario using Active Geo-Targeting that enables active disaster text reception of terminals. In addition, we newly define an interface protocol that is CIB(Control Information Block) to operate the proposed scenario.

A study on mobile phone addiction of college students (D-College) (대학생의 휴대폰 중독에 관한 연구(D 대학중심))

  • This study executed questionnaire surveys on 482 undergraduates of D-college to review the extents of spam letter messages received through the mobile phones of college students and the extents of their addiction to mobile phones. It was revealed that each college student received one or two spam letter messages on average a day. Among the received spam messages were the messages containing the contents of commodity advertisements most frequent and the surveys indicated that spam messages are hardly read. As for the addiction to mobile phones, the average score of addiction of the respondents was indicated to be 38.73 based on the full score of 100 and the number of the ones with the scores of 60 or more was 47 which is 9.75% and the ones with the scores of 70 or more was 13 which is 2.70%. Also the younger the students were, the higher were the numbers of the students included in the addictive group and the number of students from other areas included in the addictive group was high and the number of the students in 2years system included in the addictive group was higher than the number of the students in 3years system included in the addictive group.

  • While the short term effect of diet and exercise therapy has been proven, there has still been a problem of its long term effect. So, researchers has utilized behaviour modification therapy. It is expected to lead to natural weight loss by modifying wrong dietary life patterns and practices. However, this approach has turned out to be a more effective method for weight maintenance than loss of weight. In spite of its strength, as a matter of fact, persistent and continuous effort for weight management has not worked properly. This study proposes an artificial intelligence approach with the advantages of behaviour modification therapy, overcoming current approaches which is goal-driven and too uniform. For this, we plan to develop a health management program in which users get the messages that are customized for themselves according to different situations so that it can promotes persistent effort for exercise. Here, customized messages are handled by AI techniques, which eventually promotes soft persuasion, encouragement, and motivation.

  • Apartment complex, buildings, markets and department stores have inner parking lots which can accept many cars but drivers waste lots of times to find the empty parking spaces in crowding parking lots. In this paper, we proposed the inner parking information support system based on microprocessor which can decrease roaming times to find vacant parking spot in confusing parking lots through notice monitor and provide SMS to make it easy to find parked place. Proposed system consist with RFID system for detecting access of cars, microprocessor system for processing data of checking existence of cars on parking spots and communicating with server, and server system which processes information of cars' in and out, guides empty parking spots and parked location to drivers. Suggested system is realized by handmade model parking lot size of 8 cars, and we confirmed practicality by providing information using parking notice monitor and single message service.

  • Some spoken word errors that violate grammatical or writing rules occurs frequently in communication environments like mobile phone and messenger. These unexpected errors cause a problem in a language processing system for many applications like speech recognition, text-to-speech translation, and so on. In this paper, we proposed and implemented an automatic correction system of ill-formed words and word spacing errors in SMS sentences that has been the major errors of poor accuracy. We experimented three methods of constructing the word correction dictionary and evaluated the results of those methods. They are (1) manual construction of error words from the vocabulary list of ill-formed communication languages, (2) automatic construction of error dictionary from the manually constructed corpus, and (3) context-dependent method of automatic construction of error dictionary.

  • The new HDTV technologies provide crystal clear images and surrounding sounds for broadcasting screen in order to serve higher quality of broadcasting. They have four times the resolution of conventional TV and handle 16:9 wide screen aspect ratio images. Due to such technological shift, the function of Character Graphic has been particularly revaluated: it used to be only a subsidiary method to literally deliver visual images, but nowadays it is considered one of the essential elements capable of giving higher values to broadcasting programs. And there is an urgent need for changing its attributes such as fonts, sizes, colors, moving speeds to fit to bigger screen ratio and much more qualified images of HDTV. To meet such a need, Delphi surveys are made twice with three groups of TV production staffs: Art Directors, CG Designers and Production & Transmission team, these groups which are divided on the basis of their roles in broadcasting production process. With the results of these surveys, this article analyzes how all of the attributes of Character Graphic have affected the media users' Visual Perception, and then, suggests a new format designed in OSMU(One Source Multi Use) by which TV character graphics can be properly transmitted to various media formats.

  • As smart devices become popular, users can use authentication services in various methods. Authentication services include authentication using an ID and a password, authentication using a sms, and authentication using an OTP(One Time Password). This paper proposed an authentication system that solves the security problem of knowledge-based authentication using optical character recognition and can easily and quickly authenticate users. The proposed authentication system extracts a character from an uploaded image by a user and authenticates the user using the extracted character information. The proposed authentication system has the advantage of not using a password or an OTP that are easily exposed or lost, and can not be authenticated without using accurate photographs. The proposed authentication system is platform independent and can be used for user authentication, file encryption and decryption.

  • this paper, we propose a flexible, reusable, and extensible HL7 encoding and decoding framework using a Message Object Model (MOM) and Message Definition Repository (MDR). The MOM provides an abstract HL7 message form represented by a group of objects and their relationships. It reflects logical relationships among the standard HL7 message elements such as segments, fields, and components, while enforcing the key structural constraints imposed by the standard. Since the MOM completely eliminates the dependency of the HL7 encoder and decoder on platform-specific data formats, it makes it possible to build the encoder and decoder as reusable standalone software components, enabling the interconnection of arbitrary heterogeneous hospital information systems(HISs) with little effort. Moreover, the MDR, an external database of key definitions for HL7 messages, helps make the encoder and decoder as resilient as possible to future modifications of the standard HL7 message formats. It is also used by the encoder and decoder to perform a well formedness check for their respective inputs (i. e., HL7 message objects expressed in the MOM and encoded HL7 message strings). Although we implemented a prototype version of the encoder and decoder using JAVA, they can be easily packaged and delivered as standalone components using the standard component frameworks like ActiveX, JAVABEAN, or CORBA component.
