Effects of Mobile Health Intervention for Employees with Diabetes in Workplace (사업장의 당뇨 환자를 위한 모바일 중재프로그램 적용 효과)

  • This study aims to evaluate the effect of mobile health intervention for employees with diabetes. The study subjects were 101 employees having fasting blood glucose over 100 mg/dL. The study participants were educated to check their blood sugar before meals every day, and received text messages to help improve general lifestyle habits for blood sugar, diet, and exercise for 12 weeks. There was a sufficient difference in blood sugar, body mass index and blood pressure before and after the intervention. As a result, fasting blood glucose(129.38±1.95 to 123.63±1.82) decreased(P<0.001). Body mass index(26.20±0.29 to 25.81±0.28, P<0.000), diastolic blood pressure(124.60±1.03 to 122.56±1.05, P<0.032), and systolic blood pressure(79.86±0.83 to 78.06±0.79, P<0.017) decreased, which were also statistically significant. It is expected that this study will be used as basic data to develop a self care program by using mobile and apply it to employees with diabetes.

  • As the number of elderly people living alone has been increasing in the recent years, systems for their safety have been required, and some related services or pilot systems have been operating. These systems provide the monitoring service for the activities of the elderly people living alone with indoor location tracking technology using the various sensors. However, most systems provide services on expensive infrastructure such as attached tags and mobile devices. In this point, this paper attempts to suggest a system based on low cost sensors to collect event data in home environment. And a main characteristic of the system is that people can monitor the results of provided services through web browser in real time and the system can provide related context information to guardians and health care managers through SMS of mobile phone.

HBase-based Automatic Summary System using Twitter Trending Topics (트위터 트랜딩 토픽을 이용한 HBase 기반 자동 요약 시스템)

  • Twitter has been a popular social media platform where people post short messages of 140 characters or less via the web. A hashtag is a word or acronym created by Twitter users to open a discussion about certain topics and issues that have a very high percentage of trending. Since the hashtag posts are sorted by time, not relevancy, people who firstly use Twitter have had difficulty understanding their context. In this paper, we propose a HBase-based automatic summary system in order to reduce the difficulty of understanding. The proposed system combines an automatic summary method with a fuzzy system after storing the streaming data provided by Twitter API to the HBase. Throughout this procedure, we have eliminated the duplicate of contents in the hashtag posts and have computed scores between posts so that the users can access to the trending topics with relevancy.

  • Recently, As the increase in interaction between the person and the person, the people plentifully use a messenger. Thus, we propose a new messenger program, we call Hellow Fellow Messenger. The hollow fellow messenger has functions of general messenger such as chatting, note exchange, friend addition. Also, hollow fellow messenger provide with special function, which find friends satisfied conditions in PDA and PC environment. So, Client can find not only friend who is register already but also friend who is the possibility of seeing a movie and can comfortably talk together and so on. For this, server sends information for users satisfied in condition from databases to client and client selects a user among received information for users. Client-server communication is implemented using MFC[1].

  • We analyze the problem that is occurring when using parity mode transformation required for 9 bit serial communication under Linux environment and propose the solution. The parity mode change is used for 9 bit serial communication in the Linux that by nature supports only 8 bit serial communication. delay (around OS tick) arises. Our analysis shows that the cause is minimum length of waiting time to transmit data remained in Tx FIFO buffers. A modified Linux serial driver proposed in this paper decreases the delay less than 1ms by using accurate time delaying. Despite various system communication interfaces, enormous existing standards and system have adopted RS-232 serial communication, and the part of them have communicated by 9bit serial.

  • Recognition of CW Morse signals can be divided into several phases such as detection of tones and spaces, signal processing for removing noise from detected signals, decision of tones/spaces, mapping a sequence of tones and spaces into characters, error correction of a character message with textual repetition. In this paper, in order to cope with signal fading effectively we propose a signal detection method of identifying peaks in the frequency domain and present techniques for combining multiple frequency peaks and for removing residual signal components and noise. LMS adaptive method is applied for decision of tones/spaces, and initial value setting and malfunctioning conditions are analyzed. In recognition experiments, we used CW Morse signals collected by radio receivers and found that the proposed method achieves good recognition performance even in severe fading conditions.

  • The variable message sign (VMS) is equipment to improve the efficiency of traffic flow and safety of travel by providing real-time information to road users on traffic, road, weather situation, and traffic control due to construction. The information messages of the letter-based VMS taking up most of the VMS on the general national highways consist of section, travel time in sections, and road control situation. This study devised an improvement plan centered on road users, not road managers-centered existing message-based VMS through an analysis of road users' preference targeting the letter-based VMS operated in the general national highways in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. By presenting the measure for system improvement through which information on unexpected situations that road users prefer the most can be quickly and efficiently provided, this study aims to improve the efficiency of road user-centered VMS traffic information.

  • This study aimed to analyze previous studies on cervical cancer preventive education programs for parents. Data from January 2007 to November 2017 were searched via PubMed, Science Direct and CINAHL in foreign search databases, and RISS and Dbpia in domestic search databases. A total of 329 papers were searched, and 7 papers were finally selected based on the selection criteria and the exclusion criteria. Power point(PPT), leaflet, brochure and text messages were used as method for program education and among which, PPT were used the most. As a result of education program effect, it is found that parent's knowledge on HPV and intention for preventive inoculation became increased and rate of actual inoculation indeed higher. This analysis indicates there is a big need for cervical cancer preventive education program developing for parents in Korea and accordingly, various study for programs are expected to be performed.

  • Recent smartphone users constantly increases, an increase in malicious applications smartphones indiscretions exists within the Terminal, through the deployment of privacy disclosure, Singh and other victims also are on the rise. A typical personal way to malicious code masquerading as a normal application and install it on the handset of my text message or a personal note, such as personal information, the certificate directory, is the way that leaked. Therefore, to obtain permission to attack the root Terminal event by collecting malware infections and respond to determine whether it is necessary for the technique. In this paper, check the features of a Smartphone in real time systems, to carry out a study on the application throughout the Terminal to collect my attack event analysis, malware infection can determine whether or not the mobile security monitoring system. This prevents a user's personal information and take advantage of the top and spill are expected to be on the field.
