  • The present work is aimed to analyze the creep characteristics of a turbojet engine turbine blade using the theta projection method. The theta projection method has been widely used due to its advantages and flexibility. For the creep characteristic analysis of the turbine blade, tests are performed considering the operating conditions and the non-linear material properties. Results from the creep test are fitted using the four theta model. The predicted proprieties using the four theta model are compared with the prediction model and creep test results. To obtain an optimum value of the four theta parameters in non-linear square method, a number of computing processes in the non-linear least square method were carried out to obtain full creep curves. Results using the theta model has more than 0.95 value of $R^2$. The results between the experimental values and predicted four theta model has about 90.0% accuracy. The theta projection method can be utilized for a design purpose to predict the creep behavior.

  • Modern design started from having form of nature and biology and had gradually faced limit on the design subject, therefore changed to something with emotions. However, personal emotion is hard to receive sympathy from the public. Therefore the researcher have selected subject that is already receiving love from the public and tried to visualize it through metal sculpture. The subject selected for visualization is 'Counting Stars at Night' by poet Yoon Dong Ju who the Koreans love the most and the aesthetic factor was selected through prior studied literature and have made by applying metal, gemstone and coloring method. As a result the aesthetic factor could be selected understanding the emotion inside the poet 'Counting Stars at Night' by Yoon Dong Ju and have not lost objectivity in the emotions and could be able to feel the beauty of the metal sculpture with deep emotions of the 'Counting Stars at Night' by Yoon Dong Ju through completed metal sculpture. This served as a momentum for suggesting possibility of shaping the immaterial subject.

  • This research is to examine the factors affect technological innovation, which in turn is likely to related to financial performance in SMVs (Small-Medium Ventures). Empirical analyses showed that overseas market shares, R&D investment, firm size, firm capability, and centralization in decision-making are statistically related to technological innovation measured with patents and intellectual property. Additionally, technological innovation was found to have a positive relationship with financial performances measured with firms' assets and sale revenues. In conclusion, this research assist to devise a strategic plan for motivating technological innovation and realizing its performance in the SMVs.

  • Two rice cultivars infected by Gibberella fujikuroi, were tested to investigate the sequential change of disease development in the field conditions. In the preliminary test, the seeds of Nongbaek and an unknown cultivar showed 21 and $31.7\%$ infection by C. fuiikuroi. At the late stage of water nursery bed, some seedlings produced typical elongation symptom of bakanae disease and most of the leaves were dried up within a few days after transplanting. Out of the healthy looking seedlings, some plants also developed bakanae symptoms from middle June being two week after transplanting and the number was increased until middle September.

  • This study, energy saving technology development is desperately needed and the energy efficiency through improved environmental impact by minimizing economic raw materials and subsidiary materials can lead to reductions in local Small Business at the heart of the new technology in the background, product design and development. That's about technology, strengthen and broaden the design patent right infringement of its competitors by gaining a global corporate foundation of development research. In order for companies to develop diagnostic analysis and key technology analysis and evaluation of progress on the scope of rights through the development of new technologies to diagnose and design rights and the extent and design rights infringement and design development since the company's growth analysis. Integration of the design development and the core technologies of the company will be the core of national industrial competitiveness of small businesses and by securing and creating the knowledge-based rights, fusion link that can grow into compatibility business is much more need in a difficult economy.

  • The study is a hotel firm's brand evidence on the switching and relational performance by identifying a causal relationship to the differentiated and competitive was to provide useful information. Units of samples for evidence of brand switching hotels in Seoul participated in surveys customers in 2011, from June 10 to 20 July 2011 for a total of 500 copies for distribution and the Department of dual 408 with SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 Using factor analysis and reliability verification carried out, and presented research in order to test the hypothesis covariance structure analysis was performed. Analysis, employee services switching barriers and switching costs showed no significant affect. Switching barriers and switching costs, brand name, image congruence transition castle wall and switching costs, alternative attractiveness showed no significant visible results. And perceived price on switching barriers to conversion rates showed was significant affect. Second, switching barriers, switching costs, alternative attractiveness and that the relationship, to help conversion of non-financial performance showed no significant affect. Third, the practitioner services, brand names, images, match the castle there, and non-financial performance of the transition showing a statistically significant result was found.

  • This study considered the factors of city brand reinforcement and city revitalization through a case study of two cities that were successful in revitalizing using a brand strategy. World leading cities are securing city competitiveness through the culture resources, particularly traditional culture, as a key asset to highlight the cities' uniqueness in increasing their value. The Confucianism influence on Korean traditional culture has a valuable content like etiquette, ritual ceremony, food, education, etc. as well as culture heritage in historical architecture. Therefore, it can be used as the city's assets to promote it worldwide. On the other hand, there is difficulty in preserving most Confucianism culture content and the intangible cultural properties have been neglected. This needs to be applied actively to be used on a city brand strategy. This study reviewed the successful case of Andong city in Korea and Qufu city in Sandong, China and suggests ways of raising the cities' brand power.

  • OECD(2008) gives the concepts of inaction costs on key environmental challenges including: direct financial costs; total financial costs; total use costs; and total social welfare costs. In analyzing the losses of environmental goods' various values conducted by domestic and foreign researchers, this study suggests the value-cost category of OECD(2008) and other studies; and the indirect use and non-use values of groundwater and other natural environment using the concepts of inaction costs. The studies on the damages and their relationships among human, property, and ecosystem are essential to monetary valuation on the qualitative or quantitative degradation of groundwater and other natural environment.

  • The GIS(Geographic Information System) projects require big initial investment and cost of maintenance. Decision makers would not launch GIS projects unless they are convinced of the benefits of the projects. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to develop an appropriate model for GIS project evaluation. We proposed a GIS project evaluation model and summarize the steps involved in Cost-Benefit Analysis(CBA). The costs of a GIS implementation include hardware and software cost, costs of database development, training expenses, annual maintenance expenses, and other annual expenses. The benefit by using GIS has been assessed into Type I(direct benefits), Type II(indirect benefits), Type III(benefits that result from the sale of information services), Type IV(intangible benefits).

  • To establish the basic unit for the ecological management of the Larix kaempferiplantations in the Baekdudaegan protected area, we classified the vegetation types using TWINSPAN and DCA ordination analysis based on the vegetation information collected from 119 plots and analyzed their spatial arrangement status. Vegetation types were classified into seven types, including Quercus mongolica-Rhododendron schlippenbachii type, Q. mongolica-Lespedeza maximowiczii type, Cornus controversa-Morus australis type, Q. mongolica-Carpinus cordata type, Lindera erythrocarpa-Rosa multiflora type, Q. serrata-Zanthoxylum schinifolium type, and Q. serrata-Sasa borealis type and they have usually reflected differences in the floristic composition according to latitude, elevation, establishment period, operation history, characteristics of the surrounding stands, and degree of disturbance. Furthermore, using the Jaccard coefficient to comparethe floristic composition similarity between Larix kaempferiplantations and surrounding potential natural vegetation (Q. mongolica and Q. serrata forests), although some differences depended on vegetation types, it was 0.21 on average with Q. mongolica forest and 0.32 with Q. serrata forest, indicating that the floristic composition was still heterogeneous.
