Second Stage Attitude Control Results of KSLV-I Third Flight Test (나로호 3차 비행시험 2단 자세제어 결과)

  • This paper summarizes results of second stage attitude control of KSLV-I third flight test. The results show that three axes attitude control at coasting phases of KSLV-I was successfully accomplished by the reaction control system, and pitch and yaw attitude control at thrusting phase where second stage kick motor burns was also normally accomplished by using the thrust vector control system. It is verified that the second stage controller performed successfully for all flight phases regardless of some disturbances due to mass center offset, slag effects, and residual thrust of kick motor. These results may provide an important basis in enhancing domestic technology level of attitude control of launch vehicle.

  • In a cryogenic propellant tank the pressurant is contracted due to heat loss and the propellant itself evaporates. On a restartable propulsion system such phenomena are more intensive because the propellant contacts with the pressurant on the larger surface during the coast flight. Such heat and mass transfer phenomena should be considered for estimating the amount of pressurant. On the hypothesis that the heat and mass transfer quasi-equilibrium is achieved during the coast flight, the calculation process of the equilibrium pressure is presented. On the process the amount of loaded helium on the Falcon-1 second stage is calculated.

  • 본 논문은 GPS를 이용한 무인 비행체의 자율비행에 관한 연구를 다루었다. 비행체의 종류는 크게 고정익기와 회전익기로 나뉘는데 본 연구에서는 회전익기의 형태를 가진 Quarter Vehicle을 사용하였다. Quarter Vehicle은 4개의 프로펠러에 의한 양력과 회전 반발력으로 비행을 한다. 이때의 양력은 수평면에 대해 수직으로 추력을 발생시키므로 다른 비행체보다 불안정하며 이를 안정하게 제어하기 위해 관성 센서를 적용하여 균형을 유지한다. 본 연구에서는 UAV의 자세와 균형을 안정적으로 유지하기 위해 관성센서를 적용하였으며 GPS를 활용하여 독립적인 자율비행이 가능하도록 하였다. 정확한 위치정보를 제공하는 GPS는 3개 이상의 위성으로부터 시간 및 위치 정보를 받아 좌표를 계산하고 비행체의 위치, 속도 및 방향을 결정하여 자율 비행이 가능하도록 한다. 또한 초형 지자기센서를 비행체에 적용하여 GPS의 방향 정보를 보완하도록 하였다. 본 논문에서는 무인 비행체의 자율비행의 기초가 되는 위치좌표 계산을 위한 GPS의 적용 방법과 비행경로계획 알고리즘을 제시 한다.

  • The third stage of the KSLV-II is equipped with the reaction control system that performs three axis-control during non-thrust coasting phase and performs a roll axis control during thrust phase. Toxic propellants such as hydrazine have been used for conventional rocket propulsions, however, recently, more studies have been conducted on the use of non-toxic eco-friendly propellants such as ADN and HAN. Especially, hydrogen peroxide has received a growing focus as an emerging propellant. It is considered an alternative of the toxic propellants because of economic advantage in producing the system, conducting operation test, and evaluation of the test result. In this paper, we describes the design, prototype, testing and evaluation of the test results with the 50 N-level hydrogen peroxide monopropellant thruster system which is currently under development.

  • This paper describes the development of the dual-thrust flight motor for enhancing the hit probability of unguided rockets. We designed dual-thrust flight motor by shape modification of the double base propellant with high burning rate, and confirmed the dual-thrust performance by static firing tests. The test results showed the thrust ratio of about 1:7.6 between sustaining phase and boosting phase, and had a quietly normal dual-thrust characteristics. And the results showed that there was not the fire extinction phenomenon of propellant due to the pressure drop.

  • 본 논문은 관성센서를 이용한 무인 항공체의 자세 제어에 관한 연구를 다루었다. 항공계의 종류는 크게 고정익기와 회선익기로 나뉘는데 본 연구에서는 회전익기의 형태를 가진 Quarter Vehicle을 사통하였다. Quarter Vehicle은 4개의 프로펠러에 의한 양력과 회전 반발력으로 비행을 한다. 이때의 양력은 수평면에 대해 수직으로 추력을 발생시키므로 다른 비행체보다 불안정하며 이를 안정하게 제어하기 위해 관성 센서를 적용하여 균형을 유지한다. 본 연구에서는 관성센서를 이용하여 UAV의 자세와 균형을 안정적으로 유지하여 안정적인 비행이 가능하도록 하였다. 또한 상호 의존적인 항법 시스템으로 환경변화에 영향을 받지 않으며, 정확한 위치정보를 제공하는 GPS를 사용하여 3개 이상의 위성으로부터 정보를 받아 좌표를 계산하고 위치, 속도 및 방향을 결정하여 자율 비행이 가능하도록 설계하였다. 본 논문에서는 Quarter Vehicle의 구조와 이론적 배경을 통한 설계, 그리고 관성센서와 GPS의 적용을 위한 방법을 제시 한다.

A Parametric Study on Optimal Earth-Moon Transfer Trajectory Design Using Mixed Impulsive and Continuous Thrust (혼합 추력 방식의 지구-달 최적 전이궤적 설계인자에 따른 비교연구)

  • This paper presents the results of a parametric study for the design of optimal Earth-Moon transfer trajectory using mixed impulsive and continuous thrust. Various types of the optimal Earth-Moon transfer trajectories were designed by adjusting the relative weight between the impulsive and the continuous thrust, and flight time. Two very different transfer trajectories can be obtained by different combination of design parameters. Furthermore, it was found that all thus designed trajectories permit the ballistic capture by the Moon gravity. Finally, the required thrust profiles are presented and analyzed in detail.

  • Tilt rotor aircraft is a multi-configuration airplane which has three independent flight modes; helicopter, conversion, and aiplane. The control surface mixer resign is reqctired to generate and distribute efficient control forces and moments in each flight mode. In the conversion mode, the thrust vector is changed from helicopter mode to airplane, therefore the thrust vector makes undesired forces and moments which affect on pitch, roll and yaw dynamics. This paper describes the design results of control surface mixer design which minimize the undesired forces and moments due to nacelles tilting angle change for 4O% scaled model.

비아50 구조 구성품 정적강도 시험

  • Tail-wing, gondola and thrust motor mount(EMS) were built by carbon/glass fiber composites. Structural strength & stiffness was verified by specimen tests. Static strength tests for each structural components were conducted separately. Boundary conditions are specially designed for each components to simulate exact joint conditions. Tests shows no detriment deformation at 100% DLL and no failure at 150% DLL.
