많은 논리학 교과서들은 무지에의 호소 논증을 무차별적으로 오류로 취급하고 있다. 그러나 나는 무지에 호소하고 있다는 형식적인 이유만으로 오류라고 취급하는 것은 잘못이라고 주장한다. 무지에의 호소가 오류인지 아닌지는 그 무지가 철저한 조사 과정을 거쳐서 나왔는가 그리고 입증의 부담이 누구에게 있는가에 따라 달라진다. 그리고 그것은 그 논증이 어떤 맥락과 상황에서 쓰이고 있느냐에 의존한다.

The argument from ignorance that knowledge conclusion is derived from ignorance premises is claimed to be fallacious by many logicians such as I. Copi. According to them, some arguments from ignorance which seem to be acceptable are not really the arguments from ignorance. They say that such arguments have implicitly conditional knowledge premise. Against them, I argue that every argument from ignorance can be interpreted as having a hidden conditional premise, and that every argument from ignorance is not fallacious. I propose the criterion to judge which argument from ignorance is fallacious and which is persuasive. In particular, I argue that social contexts play a crucial role to judge whether a practical argument is fallacious or not.

Purpose : To find the MR findings and evaluate the usefulness of MR in flexor hallucis longus(FHL) dysfunction. Materials and Methods : From 1992 to 2003, fourty patients were found to have surgically confirmed FHL dysfunction. 24 cases of 22 patients who had performed MR were included in this study. We analyzed the signal intensity of FHL tendon and muscle, tendon sheath, sheath effusion, and bone lesions, retrospectively. Results : Non-specific, increased sheath effusion of FHL tendon was seen in 12 cases (50%). Large amount of sheath effusion(grade 3) was observed in 5 cases (21%). The signal intensity of FHL tendon was normal in all cases. High signal intensity at the FHL muscle, proximal to musculotendinous junction was seen in 1 case (4%). One case (4%) of marrow edema of the talus and another one case (4%) of osteochondritis dissecans of the talus was seen. Conclusion : Non-specific, increased sheath effusion of FHL tendon was observed on MR in FHL dysfunction patients. Therefore, MR has a limited role in diagnosis of FHL dysfunction and is useful to exclude other bone and tendon diseases causing medial ankle pain.

Professor Hasuk Song argues that every argumentum ad ignorantiam, i.e. the argument from ignorance is not fallacious, and social contexts play a crucial role to judge whether the argument is fallacious or not. I generally agree with him, but I think we cannot have help from his position without knowing what those contexts are. In this paper, I argue that the concept of burden of proof is the crucial one to judge whether ad ignorantiam is plausible or not, and then present four criterions who have the burden of proof. There is a burden of proof on one who argues first, who insists the doubtful ones, who has powers, and who thinks that a situation is not dangerous.

For the elucidation of some information on processing properties of tomato, physicochemical characteristics of fruits were analysed for two group of cultivation pattern, non-proped cultivation (5 varieties) and groped cultivation (4 varieties). Weight, length, width, thickness and specific gravity were greater in the groped cultivation group than in the non-groped. Among the groped varieties, Master 2 showed the greatest values and 76Mo11-3-1-2-2 the smallest. Among the non-groped, weight, length, width and specific gravity were greatest in Jinhong and thickness was greatest in Good Hope and smallest in $79078{\times}ARC$. Hardness showed significant difference only among the non-groped resulting in the lowest value in $79078{\times}ARC$. Fruit sphericity was greater in the non-groped among which Good Hope was the greatest. In fruit color the non-groped showed greater trend in dominant wavelength, especially in Good Hope. No significant difference between group was found in lightness and % chroma. Sugar content showed higher trend in the non-groped and highest in Master 2. Acidity was significantly higher in the non-groped and highest in Good Hope. There was no difference in pH. Vitamin C was difference between group but higher trend in $79078{\times}ARC$. Viscosity was no difference between group but higher trend in $79078{\times}CL1561F6$ of the non-groped and 76Mo11-3-1-2-2-of the groped.

There are several methods to reconstruct an amputated or lost thumb such as toe to thumb transfer, pollicization and other variety of free flaps. In 1980, Morrison and O'Brien advocated reconstruction of the thumb with a free wrap-around flap from the big toe to recreate a stable, sensate and functional digit, including the nail. From March, 1982 to December, 1992, thirty cases of thumb reconstructions were performed using the wrap-around procedure at Korea University Hospital. 1. 29 cases of total 30 cases were successful and can be obtained the excellent results in functional and cosmetic aspect. 2. In postoperative complications, one case is graft failure, six cases in partial skin necrosis, one case in malunion, 15 cases in resorption of grafted bone piece were come out. 3. Even if the 1st metacarpal neck amputation is occurred, thumb reconstruction with a free neurovascular wrap-around flap was also possible, however, the limitation of the mobility of the reconstructed thumb and resorption of grafted bone piece were come out. We concluded that cosmesis and fuctional results were quite satisfactory despite of some complications. The thumb reconstruction with a wrap around free flap from the big toe in thumb amputated patients is the excellent method in the cosmetic and functional aspect and can be considered as the most useful method because of less morbidity to the donor site and the operator should be trained to get the meticulous microsurgical technique and to detect the complications.

Imago's flight activities of Protaetia brevitarsis were from mid June to early September, and those of Allomyrina dichotoma were from mid June to late August. These activities were mainly influenced by amount and duration of rain. They were more active when there was small amount and short period of rain in a year. Distribution depth of the 3$^{rd}$ larvae of P. brevitarsis were not affected to the temperature. But A. dichotoma were sensitively react to the temperature, almost larvae were near the surface when high temperature. The distribution of P. brevitarsis was not affected by humidity, but most of A. dichotoma were near the surface when high humidity. Larvae of P. brevitarsis usually ate their dead individuals. When we supplied as food the pork, chicken, fresh mackerel, bread, apple, and pear. They took all of these food but larvae of A. dichotoma took only bread. Two species were lived in similar environment but those feeding habit was very different.

Effective microorganisms (EM), which are sources of fermentation byproducts in herbal medicine, were compared with oyster mushrooms(OM) to identify alternative larval feeds for white-spotted flower chafer (Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis). The nutritional composition of each fermented feed was analyzed. The content of crude protein, crude fat, and fiber was higher in the OM fermented feed, except for crude ash. No difference in nutritional content of larvae based on fermented feed was observed. A comparative weekly analysis of the live weights of larvae was based on the fermented feed used. The average weight was significantly higher in the feeds using EM and OM from third week of observation. The larval survival rate in the presence of fermented feed was 96.7% compared with 9.8% with non-fermented feed. The results suggest that fermented food source is essential for the growth of white-spotted flower chafer, and OM was a stable alternative to EM as a fermentation source for the survival of white-spotted flower chafer.

For the elucidation of some informations on juice manufacturing properties of tomato, physical, chemical and sensory characteristic were analyzed for two groups of cultivation pattern-nonproped cultivation (5 varieties) and proped cultivation (4 varieties). The proped cultivation showed higher sugar content of juice than the nonproped on. Among the proped Jeokpung and Master 2 showed high value of sugar content. The lowest value of sugar content was observed in 79078$\times$ARC of the nonproped. There was no difference in acidity between cultivation groups but high value was observed in TM103, Jinhong from the nonproped and Jeokpung from the proped. There was no difference in pH between tomoto juice. High content of vitamin C was observed in 79078$\times$CL1561 from the nonproped and 76Moll-3-2-2 from the proped. High viscosity was observed in 79078$\times$CL1561 from the nonproped and Horgju from the proped. The nonproped showed greater value in dominant wavelength than the proped. Good Hope showed the greatest value in dominant wavelength, color score of panel test and yield. It was found that Good Hope from the nonproped and Jeokpung from the proped were suitable for juice processing. But better quality of juice can be possibly made by using various varieties rather than using single variety because each variety has each goodness of juice preparation separately.
