  • 우리나라와 같이 전투종심이 짧고 산악이 많은 지형에서의 저고도에 대한 공중위협은 더욱 가중되고 있어 대공화기의 중요성은 더욱 크다 하겠다. 또한 가장 도발 위험성이 높은 북한과 대치하고 있는 우리의 상황에서 적 공격기의 대지 공격능력 99.5% 이상이 폭탄, 기총, 로켓 공격임을 감안하고 또한 공격헬기를 이용한 대전차 공격과 무인항공기에 의한 위협도 증가하고 있는 추세인 점을 고려할 때 적기의 탐지로부터 격파에 이르기까지의 짧은 반응시간과 야간능력 및 유효사거리 3km내외의 명중률이 뛰어난 무기체계가 필요하게 됨은 자명한 사실이라 하겠다

  • UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is an aerial vehicle that can accomplish the mission without pilot. UAV was developed for a military purpose such as a reconnaissance in an early stage. Nowadays usage of UAV expands into a various field of civil industry such as a drawing a map, broadcasting, observation of environment. These UAV, need vision system to offer accurate information to person who manages on ground and to control the UAV itself. Especially LOS(Line-of-Sight) system wants to precisely control direction of system which wants to tracking object using vision sensor like an CCD camera, so it is very important in vision system. In this paper, we propose a method to recognize object from image which is acquired from camera mounted on gimbals and offer information of displacement between center of monitor and center of object.

무인헬기의 정밀 자동착륙 접근을 위한 영상정보 처리 (Vision Processing for Precision Autonomous Landing Approach of an Unmanned Helicopter)

  • In this paper, a precision landing approach is implemented based on real-time image processing. A full-scale landmark for automatic landing is used. canny edge detection method is applied to identify the outside quadrilateral while circular hough transform is used for the recognition of inside circle. Position information on the ground landmark is uplinked to the unmanned helicopter via ground control computer in real time so that the unmanned helicopter control the air vehicle for accurate landing approach. Ground test and a couple of flight tests for autonomous landing approach show that the image processing and automatic landing operation system have good performance for the landing approach phase at the altitude of $20m{\sim}1m$ above ground level.

무인헬기용 요크 성형을 위한 공정 설계 (Process Design for Yoke Forming of Unmanned Helicopter)

  • Yoke is a part of rotor in unmanned helicopter. It was transferred power of engine to the rotor. It has been usually produced by machining and used wastefully material. And it has been considered to improve its proof stress against repeated loading of the products. Therefore we studied Forging process for satisfaction of these ability and process design for yoke forming has been studied by using FE analysis. Die design and forming analysis have been performed according to the conditions such as billet volume, flash control, cavity filling, and the distribution of damage in the products. In the comparison between die forging processes, side punch effects has been investigated by considering billet dimensions.

  • Unmanned helicopters are needed in various fields such as monitoring system, agriculture and forest fire. Swash plate is a essential part for exact driving of unmanned helicopter. And it is usually produced by machining. In this research, hot forging process of upper swash plate has been studied to improve proof stress against repeated loading of the product. In the forming analysis, design parameters such as effective stress, effective strain and distribution of damage have been considered in the hot forging.

무인헬기용 티타늄 합금 로터 그립의 열간성형해석 (Hot Forging Analysis of Rotor Grip with Titanium Alloy for Unmanned Helicopter)

  • Rotor grip is used as a component of rotor system in unmanned helicopter. Instead of usual machining, hot forging process has been considered to improve its proof stress against repeated loading conditions and crash in the farm-field. Die design and forming analysis have been performed according to the conditions such as billet volume, flash, cavity filling, and the distribution of damage during the forming by using FE analysis. In the results of analysis, the possibility of structural failure in the model has not been found because its maximum effective stress is much lower than yield strength of the titanium alloy. In the forging die design, flash has been allowed because of low production in the industrial field. Preform design was studied by using FE-analysis, and its optimal dimension was obtained in the hot forging of rotor grip with titanium alloy.

소형 무인헬기를 이용한 항공방제기술(V) -테일 로터부의 구성- (Aerial Application using a Small RF Controlled Helicopter (V) - Tail Rotor System -)

  • In this study, a tail rotor system for an agricultural RF controlled helicopter was developed and tested. This study concluded the mechanical development of the 'Agro-heli' by completing the tail rotor system and its radio console. The RF control system was closely related with the tail system for the control of flying attitude. The thrust of the tail system balance off the reaction torque, created by the main rotor. Lifting tests with and without the tail system were compared for estimating the consumption of power. The tail system would use $4{\sim}5%$ of the total power which was in an acceptable range. Flying performance and attitude was visually inspected. It showed reliable and safe control during the distance flying trials and could be adapted for utilization in aerial applications. Aerial application using an RF controlled agricultural helicopter may make precise and timely spraying possible.
