  • This study was designed to insist on the need of introducing the position of dramaturgs as professionals at performance venues. A dramaturg is a professional staff member that proposes an artistic orientation in the making process of performing arts works such as play and dance. Dramaturgs are divided into production dramaturgs participating in individual works and permanent dramaturgs resident in the theater. In the present study, discussions developed around plans to make use of permanent dramaturgs at local public theaters. The study introduced the advantages of the dramaturg position at culture and arts centers serving as a public theater in the community and proposed institutional improvement measures for it. At a culture and arts center, a dramaturg will play the roles of expanding culture and arts service to local residents, increasing creative chances for local artists, contribution to the vitalization of local culture, and narrowing the cultural gap between the Seoul metropolitan region and the rest of the nation. The introduction of a permanent dramaturg system should be supported by efforts across various aspects including the revision of Culture and Arts Promotion Act and Public Performance Act, improvement of the management system of culture and arts centers, change of performance evaluation methods for performance venues, and introduction of a cultivation course for the public sector.

  • This study aimed to point out the social meaning of acting and art and the change of perception according to the time change. The research method was based on qualitative research through literature review. Based on the findings of this study, the following conclusions should be made. Acting is an art directly linked to the life of an individual. Therefore, the life of an individual is an activity that sublimates his or her life into art through acting. Every activity that we do in our daily life is acting, which is directly related to our talents. In other words, a talented person is recognized as a good actor, and a person with a lack of talent plays the role of an extra person. However, talent is influenced by effort and is also influenced by a given environment. That is, an individual's talent is not fixed but can be changed according to the situation. Education is the area that deals with the possibility of changing these talents. Education has been operating in a variety of ways, but with regard to acting, it has long been centered on apprenticeship education. However, as the 20th century began, systems gradually began to emerge, and in recent years, countries have developed into different educational systems. Therefore, it is necessary to practice the development and operation of various education programs so that the acting and the art are naturally applied in everyday education process and can be applied in daily life.

  • Today, in the case of literary works such as modern poetry, novels, 'literature production : literature acceptance' are relatively simple as 'writing : reading'. However, in classical literature, there are ways of 'singing, chanting, narrating, performing, public reading, writing : listening, reading.' Modern literary works such as poetry and novels are sole arts made up only of literature, but classical literature have many complex arts accompanied by music, theater, etc. In order to understand the way classical literature, it is necessary to consider music, theater, etc. also. There are a number of subjects to research today in relation to the accepting method of classical literature. There are such things at Hyang-ga (향가), Goryeo Sog-yo (고려속요), Sijo (시조) and Gasa (가사) in of classical poetry. There is a public reading in classical novels. There is securing video materialㄴ for narrators in oral literature. And there are Si-chang (시창. 詩唱) and aloud reading in chinese proses. 'Listening literature', such as the oral literature needs to have the A. Lord's 'formular theory' - 'formular' (general words), 'themes' (general subject), and 'improvisation.' It is the opposite of contemporary poetry and novels that value ' special words', 'special contents', and 'original text.' Classical literature with a great deal of 'listening literature' besides ' reading literature' needs to have this 'formular theory' too basically. In the case of 'excessive pornographic' oriented events in Goryeo Gayo (고려가요) and Pansori (판소리), a vision is required to set up a space for the realization of literature. The haman basic elements like a man and woman's body subject can be evoked as a literature means at open place for anonymous people. Unlike modern poetry and novels, which are 'reading literature', and contain only literature, classical literature have 'listening literature' besides 'reading literature', and have complex arts - classical poetry (literature and music), and oral literature (literature, music, theater etc.) These aspects are available to research modern mass media literature, which are all 'listening literature,' and all complex arts - pop songs (literature and music), movies (literature, drama, image, music etc.) and TV dramas (literature, drama, image, music etc.). Thus, a proper understanding and consideration of the accepting method is very important in understanding, researching and educating classical literature.

  • In this study, we tried to produce moving-image works through sentiment analysis of music. First, Google natural language API was used for the sentiment analysis of lyrics, then the result was applied to the image visualization rules. In prior engineering researches, text-based sentiment analysis has been conducted to understand users' emotions and attitudes by analyzing users' comments and reviews in social media. In this study, the data was used as a material for the creation of artworks so that it could be used for aesthetic expressions. From the machine's point of view, emotions are substituted with numbers, so there is a limit to normalization and standardization. Therefore, we tried to overcome these limitations by linking the results of sentiment analysis of lyrics data with the rules of formative elements in visual arts. This study aims to transform existing traditional art works such as literature, music, painting, and dance to a new form of arts based on the viewpoint of the machine, while reflecting the current era in which artificial intelligence even attempts to create artworks that are advanced mental products of human beings. In addition, it is expected that it will be expanded to an educational platform that facilitates creative activities, psychological analysis, and communication for people with developmental disabilities who have difficulty expressing emotions.

  • The study uses the image technique of the movie (analysis) since there are limited analyses and data of the dance film's (cinematic) grammar. The films are limited to the Wim Vandekeybus's Blush. From the analysis of the one film, films are directed using basic movie grammars. Although the films are of the same genre, it differs from the method of using image techniques as well as the director's personal art preference. The cinematic grammars enhance the effect of the movement and it emphasizes the objectives to deliver the audience true meaning of the films. Dance film is not a simple word combination of dance and film to record new type of art; dance is used for the movie's artistic and aesthetic enhancement. • Today, the Korean wave headed by K-pop is newly named as 'New Korean Wave' in that it has been extended to United States, Europe and Russia. K-POP, the main player of the new Korean wave, has been successful in SNS marketing channels. Furthermore, the content of K-pop has attracted the attention of the global audience. The media and public attention on the Korean Wave is meaningful because it is not merely a cultural export. It also makes Korean people feel national pride, seeing the mental influence of its culture on other regions. Moreover, the development of the cultural industry in our society, which is different from industrial or material development, is a proof that Korean society is at the center of globalization. Until the 20th century, Korean culture had been rather receptive than dominant. In other words, it was focused more on acceptance of other cultures than active creation or outflow of its own. Now, however, K-POP is not anymore copying Western culture. It is creating its own unique characters, which makes K-pop very competitive. Korean culture has been formed for a long time in Korea's unique historical background. Korean popular culture also has to establish a solid foothold in world markets through its distinctive and traditional feature. The positive consumer response to Korean pop culture will create the added value of Korean contents and their derivatives, which will heighten Korea's national image also. In other words, if traditional art and K-POP are converged and equipped with our own unique and highly artistic culture, they will take the lead in the global cultural art market. In this study, we will recognize the possibility, growth and development of K-pop culture and analyze the cases of combining K-pop and Korean traditional art. First, we have to blend traditional art and other various genres to create diverse contents, and we have to actively utilize media channels. Second, we must improve people's awareness of the copyrights of traditional art. Also, we have to mitigate the copyrights of creative dance to expand the disclosure of contents which can be utilized. Third, we have to learn about traditional arts from younger age. Fourth, we will expand traditional arts to the whole of Korean cultural policies, which can enhance the nation's cultural value and create economic benefits. These four are expected to be effective ways to preserve the identity of traditional art and at the same time, globalize Korean culture.
