Although the port distripark concept and its development policy have been introduced since almost twenty years, there is no visible results of the policy. Specifically, the level of value-added logistics using transhipment cargo is too low. In this paper, we mainly focus on the causes of the policy failure of port distripark's value added activities in terms of conceptual as well as practical or functional. Definitely, the study reviews the concept of port distripark compared to industrial park or bonded factory. The study also analyzes the differentiation of port distripark and port hinterland. The study generats that the problem or error that may occur when port hinterland is identified with the port distripark. Last but not least, the limitations of value added logistics is generated on the study. We examined in depth whether the already well known value added activity of port distripark is really activities that add 'value'.
The study investigates the impact of family ownership heterogeneity on the internationalization decisions of family-owned enterprises from ICT sectors in South Korea. The study uses prospect theory to explore the relationship between ownership structure and internationalization. The study finds that as performance improves, the ultimate owner (CEO) is negatively related to internationalization, while other family members are positively related, demonstrating the heterogeneous behavior of family members. The study suggests that the ultimate owner (CEO) tends to avoid risks associated with internationalization, while other family members are willing to take risks. To better understand the various risk behaviors of family firms regarding internationalization, the inherent heterogeneity of family firms, particularly in light of different risk behaviors between the ultimate owner (CEO) and other family members, may explain the inconsistent results in studies on the effect of family ownership on internationalization.
Purpose - The purpose of the study was to find out how the Korean government reflected its policy goal and direction by analysing the budget allocation on support measures for the Korea-China FTA in the fisheries sector. Design/methodology/approach - Concentration Ratio, Herfindahl-Hirschman Index and BCG Matrix were applied to the government's budget allocation on support measures for the Korea-China FTA in the fisheries sector. Findings - The study result shows that the government has provided various programmes without over-investing in some programmes. Meanwhile, the government has increased its budget for some programmes that are in line with its long-term policy goals, such as promoting sustainable fisheries and transforming fisheries into a value-added industry. In addition, the government has reduced its budget for programmes that threaten its fiscal sustainability. Research implications or Originality - The Korean government planned a 10-year budget plan for support measures for the fisheries sector after the implementation of the Korea-China FTA. Since 2016, the government has operated the subordinate programmes under the 10-year budget plan each year, reflecting its new policy direction, which takes into account both domestic and external factors. Accordingly, this study is meaningful in that it allows us to examine the government's policy direction for the fisheries sector after the Korea-China FTA.
The standard shift-share analysis decomposes a region's sectoral growth into three components: national, industry-mix, and regional-shift effects. Nevertheless, the three components of the traditional shift-share are not related to the behavior of the regional economies that are neighbors of the region under analysis. We incorporate a spatial structure within this basic formulation, and consider spatial interaction in the decomposition analysis. Daesan Port's export grew steadily at an annualized average rate of 4.0% during 2011-2017, and its rank, in terms of export performance, was 13 in 2010; this rose to 6 in 2016, then declined slightly to 7 in 2017 before reaching 6 as of June, 2018. However, not all ports have a similar growth path. The Onsan Port's share declined from 27.4% in 2011 to 21.0% to 2017, whereas the share of petroleum product exports of Daesan Port increased rapidly, from approximately 8.5% in 2011 to 16.0% in 2017. The standard shift-share analysis shows that petroleum products and basic petrochemicals have a positive regional in dustry-mix effect, but petrochemistry materials and synthetic resins have a negative sign, indicating that the former's exports grow faster than national export, while the increase of the latter's export is slower than national one. The spatial shift-share model indicates that for both petroleum products and basic petrochemicals, Incheon and Ulsan Ports have a positive value for the neighbor-nation regional shift effect and a positive value for the region-neighbor regional shift effect. This paper also shows that Yeosu Port for petroleum products; Ulsan Port for basic petrochemicals; Ulsan, Onsan and Yeosu Ports for petrochemistry materials; and Ulsan, Busan, and Incheon Ports for synthetic resins have a positive value for the neighbor-nation regional shift effect but a negative value for the region-neighbor regional shift effect.

In the Northeast Asian region, including Korea, China, and Japan, with rapid economic growth since the 1990s, intra-regional oil logistics has been increasing. Under such external circumstances, Korea has been pursuing a policy to become a Northeast Asian petroleum logistics hub since the mid-2000s. In order to become a Northeast Asian logistics hub, it is important to establish and promote a business model to promote the value-added oil logistics business. This study aims to propose policies and practical implications for increasing petroleum logistics by analyzing Korea's petroleum logistics business model in Northeast Asia. The results of case analysis through interviews with 23 tank terminal companies are as follows. First, most of the oil storage tank terminal companies interviewed are conducting value-added petroleum logistics such as blending, breaking bulk, and consolidation etc. Second, value-added petroleum logistics is caused by an imbalance in supply and demand among neighboring countries in Northeast Asia. In particular, there is a high demand for breaking bulk and blending connecting Japan, Oceania, the United States, and South America. Third, it is necessary to promote the promotion of value-added logistics by improving infrastructure, institutions, and regulations in response to the demand for value-added petroleum logistics, which will greatly contribute to Korea's policy for being Northeast Asian oil hub.

This study attempted to examine the effect of corporate ESG activities perceived by college students on corporate loyalty and purchase intention. The results of the study are as follows. Looking at the average ESG activities recognized by college students, society 4.28 points, governance 4.25 points, and environment 4.12 points out of 5, and the average customer loyalty was 3.86 points when 3 points out of 5 points were median, and purchase intention was 3.84 points. Looking at the correlation between the factors of corporate ESG activities, customer loyalty, and purchase intention perceived by college students, it was confirmed that it had a static correlation coefficient. As a result of analyzing the effect of ESG activities perceived by college students on customer loyalty, the variable that significantly affects customer loyalty in [Model 1] is the major (β=.167p=).01) It was. Among the additional variables added to [Model 2], the variable that significantly affects customer loyalty is the environment (t=3.017, p<.).01), society ((t=4.365, p<.001), governance structure (t=-3.139, p<.01) was found to have a significant effect on customer loyalty. Recently, there has been a growing focus on the Entrepreneurial Intention of Chinese College Students as a key driver of motivational behavior. However, previous research has provided limited analysis on the actual impact of Social Support on the Entrepreneurial Intention of Chinese College Students. The purpose of this study is to enhance the Entrepreneurial Intention of Chinese College Students and to ascertain the mediating effect of Career Adaptability in the relationship between Social Support and Entrepreneurial Intention. Zhejiang Province, the top-ranked province in private economy in China, possesses a strong economic development momentum and an innovative entrepreneurial atmosphere. Therefore, this study selected 194 third and fourth-year undergraduate students from universities in Zhejiang Province as participants and collected data through a survey utilizing measures of Social Support, Career Adaptability, and Entrepreneurial Intention. The collected data was analyzed for correlations between the measured variables using SPSS 26 and Stata 17 SEM Builder for quantification and validation. The results of the study revealed that, firstly, while Social Support did not have a direct impact on Entrepreneurial Intention, it was found to have an indirect influence on Entrepreneurial Intention through Career Adaptability and its various sub-variables. Secondly, Social Support among College Students was found to have a positive impact on Career Adaptability. Thirdly, Career Adaptability among College Students was found to have a positive impact on Entrepreneurial Intention. Based on these analytical findings, this study provides theoretical and practical implications as well as fundamental information for entrepreneurship education and Career Adaptability at the university level.
The drybulk shipping market has high freight rate volatility in the chartering market and various and complex factors affecting the market. In the unstable economic situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the BDI plunged due to a decrease in trade volume, but turned from the end of 2020 and maintained a booming period until the end of 2022. The main reason for the market change is the decrease in the available fleet that can actually be operated for cargo transport due to port congestion by the COVID-19 pandemic, regardless of the fleet and trade volume volatility that have affected the drybulk shipping market in the past. A decrease in the actual usable fleet due to vessel waiting at port by congestion led to freight increase, and the freight increase in charting market led to an increase in second-hand ship and new-building ship price in long-term equilibrium relationship. In the past, the drybulk shipping market was determined by the volatility of fleet and trade volume. but, in the future, available fleet volume volatility by pandemics, environmental regulations and climate will be the important factors affecting BDI. To response to the IMO carbon emission reduction in 2023, it is expected that ship speed will be slowed down and more ships are expected to be needed to transport the same trade volume. This slowdown is expected to have an impact on drybulk shipping market, such as a increase in freight and second-hand ship and new-building ship price due to a decrease in available fleet volume.
