A Study for the Management of the Wireless Communication for Safety of Firefighteer in Fire Scene (소방공무원 현장안전을 위한 무선통신망 운영에 관한 연구)

  • From an accident at 2:00 a.m. in November 2nd, 2012 that one fire-fighter died while suppressing the E land World Inc. Fire in Bupyeong-Gu, Incheon, we concluded the problem and the improvement method of using the wireless communication (the two-way radio) that the fire safety officer and the safety crew use when identifying the safety of the fire scene. And after the investigation, we could find that the communication between the fire safety officer and the safety crew was difficult in the scene of the fire by voice because of much noise, so they could rely solely on the wireless communication. Therefore, we investigated the wireless communication and its frequency now used in Incheon Fire Safety Devision. Also, we compared with those of the military and the police. As a result, by making use of the wireless communication and its frequency currently possessed in Incheon Fire Safety Division, we found that the fire safety officer and the safety crew rescuing people at the risk of their own life in the various fire scene can communicate effectively.

Test-bed Design for the Evaluation of Wireless Communication System on Small Launch Vehicle (소형 발사체 무선 통신시스템 검증을 위한 테스트 베드 설계)

  • In this paper, test-bed for the evaluation of wireless communication system on a small launch vehicle is proposed. The proposed test-bed consists of antenna test-coupler, RF attenuators, and RF switch modules. The antenna test-coupler isolates antennas for each band and transmits / receives wireless signals. The RF attenuator and switch are used for path selection of testing signal path. In design and measurement result of the antenna test-coupler, the antenna test-coupler has shielding effect higher than 39.3, 47.1, 56.1 dB at UHF-, S-, X-band. Through testing on small launch vehicle wireless communication system, we were able to successfully transmit and receive data between each test system and launch vehicle with antenna path switching.

  • Long-range wireless power transmission technology goes beyond mere cell phones and small appliances, and is the core technology of 4'th industrial revolution such as robot, electric car, and IoT sensor network. In this paper, we will explore the evolution of long-range wireless power transmission technologies that have already become commercially available, with rapid advances in technology, beyond the traditional short-range technology that has become technologically common. Through this, it is intended to check the domestic research level and progress by identifying core technologies and technical challenge.

  • Wireless Internet is capable of transmitting data for voice, text and video by wireless network, and recently wireless internet industry is one of the most widely issued. And, Operators, device manufacturers and contents providers are busy in developing technology and standardization. In this paper, we focus on the trends of standardization for wireless internet to enhance the industry and to have a competition compared to other countries. Lastly, we analysed the government's policy for wireless internet.

A Study on Development of Wireless Check-up Device for Captive Flight Test (탑재비행시험용 무선 점검장치 개발에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, a study on a wireless check-up method of test equipment for captive flight test(CFT) was conducted. For CFT, test equipment is mounted on a POD, and check-up is carried on the test equipment's. For check-up the POD wirelessly, battery, power distribution unit, wireless communication devices were designed within the POD, and a check-up device is designed outside of the POD. Once the external check-up device sends a 'start signal' to the POD, it performs the overall check-up procedures and transmits the 'end signal' to the external check-up device. Detailed check-up results are stored in an internal storage device, and are possible to read from external check-up device if necessary, thereby improving the reliability of the wireless check-up. By implementing and applying these wireless check-up system, the reliability of the check-up was enhanced by dynamical and movable check-up, and safety is guaranteed as the check-up was carried without access to the aircraft.

Development and Verification of Wireless Check-up System of POD for Captive Flight Test (탑재비행시험용 POD 무선 점검 시스템 개발 및 검증)

  • In this paper, we studied a method of wirelessly checking up the POD for captive flight tests which is performed during the development of guided weapons systems. The wireless power transfer module, the power distribution device, and the battery pack were designed to wirelessly power the captive flight test POD, and the communication device was designed to enable wireless communication between the POD and the check-up device. The communication device was designed to enable WiFi, IR communication, and laser diode communication, so that various communication methods could be tested. Through the performance test, it was confirmed that power was stably supplied to the captive flight test POD, and the wireless communication performance was verified by measuring the delay time and error rate. As a result, by using our system the POD check-up for the captive flight test was performed wirelessly and the data of the captive equipment could be obtained effectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차 내부에 무선 센서 네트워크를 구축하여 데이터를 획득하고 처리하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 자동차 관리 시스템은 자동차 외부의 주행상황에 대한 정보를 받으며, 동시에 자동차 내부의 상태를 점검하고 사용자에게 내부 정보를 보여줌으로서 전문적인 지식 없이도 자신의 차를 유지 및 관리할 수 있도록 한다. 특히 사용자에게 접근이 용이하게 구현되어 승차자가 느끼는 시스템 접근의 어려움을 감소시키고 실질적인 편의를 도모한다. 시스템 구성은 차체 내부 데이터를 수집하는 단말 노드, 시리얼 통신용 수신 게이트웨이, 차체 정보를 처리하는 인터페이스 응용으로 분류된다. 자동차 관리 시스템의 성능을 확인하기 위해, 관련 하드웨어와 프로그램을 간략히 설명한다. 이를 위해 무선 센서 네트워크와 센싱 하드웨어의 특징을 기술하고, 이를 이용한 차량의 각종 전기신호와 센서들을 통합 제어하는 시스템을 제시한다.

  • If the power of the general is not supplied, Visual aids utilize solar power system. The power supply system of these, the role of the power regulator to manage the charging and discharging is very important. In recent years, by introducing the IT technology for the effective management of visual aids, it was supposed to add a device that uses the power consumption. Thus, the importance of power regulator has increased. Currently, the power regulator is installed inside the AtoN, if the accessibility is not ensured, there is a difficulty that can not be checked. In order to solve these problems, in this paper, you have installed the Blue-tooth module to the power regulator. Also, by using the Blue-tooth communication function of a smart phone, a radio check has implemented a possible monitoring system. Advantage of the system implemented is a simple configuration and low installation cost. Also, it is possible to check the state information of the real-time power supply regulator. In addition, it has the effect of preventing accidents and reducing costs of inspection.

  • To guarantee the safety and reliability of obsolete thermal power plants, on site routine patrol in their facilities has been done by human workers. Due to their poor working environments, however, a patrol robot system has been gradually required instead of the human workers from the viewpoint of the workers' safety and work efficiency. For this purpose, this paper presents a patrol robot, controllers, and its control scheme. Especially, this robot system uses a line tracing algorithm, which uses a vision camera instead of IR sensors, and an RFID system for its patrol operation. We confirmed its effectiveness through experiments.

  • In this paper, we developed a system that output and service using vairous contents with the inspection and management industry facilities in the operating system based on wireless network. This system can output to the display device at the same time, work management and a variety of content to the inspection facilities. And it outputs received contents of the advertising service provider in real-time. Therefore, this system support real-time facility management and various contents in the building at the same time.
