국내 공공망(Public Network)에서의 네트워크 공유 방안

  • 통합공공용 주파수로 분배된LTE(Long Term Evolution) 718~728Mhz(상향) 및 773~783MHz(하향)에서 재난안전 통신망, 철도무선 통신망, 차세대 해상무선 통신망 등과 같은 LTE기반의 공공통신망(Public Network, 이하 공공망)이 상호 공존하여 사용하는 방안에 대하여 연구하였다. 두 개 이상의 복수의 LTE 네트워크가 동일 주파수를 사용하여 서비스하는 경우 통신 커버리지가 겹치는 영역에서의 간섭은 불가피하다. 셀 간 간섭에 의하여Mission Critical한 요구사항이 중요시되는 공공망에서의 품질 열화가 야기되며, 경우에 따라 심각한 상황을 초래할 수 있다. 본고에서는 국내 공공망의 현황을 살펴보고 네트워크 공유방식에 대한 기술 및 표준화 동향, 그리고 해외의 사례를 알아보았다. 국내 통합공공용 주파수에서 동일 주파수를 사용하게 될 공공망 간의 간섭을 최소화 하여 네트워크를 구축 및 연계를 위해서 개별 공공망간의 네트워크를 공유하는 방안을 고려하였다. 국내 공공망의 효율적인 네트워크 연계를 위해서는 개별 공공망의 서비스 특성과 내부 환경을 반영 할 수 있는 연계 방식이 추가적으로 필요하다.

  • In this paper, we propose a scheme for real-time data retransmission in LR-WPAN to support the required QoS even in the severe channel error environments. In IEEE 802.15.4a, as the user data rate is supported up to 850Kbps, the real-time streaming data can be transferred more easily. In this research, we study the beacon-enabled mode in IEEE 802.15.4 LR-WPAN standard. In the proposed scheme, special slots are dynamical1y assigned for retransmission of the packet that fails during a real-time data service, and in the severe channel error environments a time diversity is acquired. Analytical results show that the proposed scheme is more robust and achieves a much higher throughput than the previous protocol in LR-WPAN.

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time service based on retransmission slot in low rate WPAN. In the proposed scheme, during the communication period of the beacon-enabled mode in LR-WPAN standard, a special GTSs is dynamically assigned for retransmission of the packet that fails during a real-time service such as voice. This provides a time diversity in the severe channel error environments to support the required QoS. Analytical results show that this scheme achieves a much higher throughput and better transmission success rate per GTS slot than conventional schemes such as a common reserved scheme in LR WPAN.

  • 본 고에서는 무선통신기술의 전반 현황을 다루면서 최근 초고속통신망 구축의 단말 영역으로서 기술 및 시장 개발의 이슈가 되고 있는 댁내통신기술로서 사용될 수 있는 주요 무선통신기술을 중심으로 기술개발 현황, 표준화 동향, 시장 및 수요전망 등을 분석하여 소개하였다. 본 고에서 다룬 댁내무선통신기술은 무선 LAN, Bluetooth, HomeRF 등이다. 이들은 댁내통신기술로서 사용될 수 있는 대표적인 기술로서 각기의 특징과 의미를 가지고 있으며, 나름대로의 적용 방법을 달리하고 있다. 무선 LAN은 구내통신에 적합한 활용성을 가지고 있으며, Bluetooth는 인터넷의 사용과 접목되어 개인휴대통신으로서의 실용성을 지니고 있다. HomeRF는 순수하게 댁내에서의 무선시스템을 구축하고자 하는 비전을 가지고 있다. 이들 기술의 장단점을 살펴보고 아울러 발전 방향을 전망해 본다.

  • An electric heat tracing system manages the temperature of pipes used in a plant. We propose a Zigbee-based wireless system so called the TESCON(: TEmperature Sensing and CONtrol) to monitor and control the electric heat tracing system in an integrated way. Simulations have been done to analyze the performance of the TESCON system. The performance of the TESCON system is validated by obtaining similar results via testbed operation. We also suggest an extension method of the TESCON system based on the hierarchical tree topology by adopting techniques such as network partition, channel reuse and frame aggregation.

  • A new intelligent paging algorithm is proposed in this paper to maximize the paging capacity in wireless link of mobile communication systems. Intelligent paging algorithms have been studied to utilize limited wireless resource efficiently, in which a location area is divided to several paging areas which are searched sequentially. Previous intelligent paging methods mainly use location probability distribution of the paging target terminal to determine paging areas. However, these methods make the paging traffic of each cell non-uniformly distributed. Therefore, in relatively low paging load conditions, there exist cells congested with paging traffic in which paging traffic queues are overflowed and paging messages are lost. The proposed method determines paging areas to make the paging traffic distributed uniformly among cells by considering current paging traffic distribution in each cell. Performance evaluation shows that the proposed method outperforms the previous paging schemes much with respect to paging processing capacity.

  • 최근 LBS는 '위치정보의 보호 및 이용에 관한 법률' 제정 및 시행령 준비에 의해 위치정보 이용에 대한 제도적인 안전장치가 마련되었으며 이동통신망, 유선망과 무선망의 결합에 의해 LBS의 범위는 점점 더 확장되고 있어 서비스 또한 고속 통신을 기반으로 매우 개인화되고 다양해지고 있다. 그 중에 위치기반 경보 서비스(Alert based on LBS)기술은 가족안전, 모바일 상거래 등의 Push형 서비스로 이동단말의 인치를 폴링 (Polling)하여 일정 영역이나 특정 조건에 만족하면 통보하거나 기 정의된 서비스를 제공해주는 고부가가치 서비스이다 기존 위치폴링 기술은 일정한 시간간격으로 위치를 획득하여 네트워크 망에 큰 부하를 주고 있다. 본 논문은 위치폴링 기술에 전반적인 이해와 관련 연구를 통해 문제점을 살펴본 후 문제 해결책을 제시한다 또한, 향후에 유무선 통합 환경에서 위치기반 경보 서비스의 중요성을 살펴본다.

  • The WiMedia Alliance has specified a Distributed Medium Access Control (D-MAC) protocol based on UWB for high speed wireless home networks and WPANs. The WiMedia D-MAC fundamentally removes the problems of the centralized MAC revealed at IEEE 802.15.3 MAC, by adopting a distributed architecture. However, there is no completely distributed method for allocating fair data rates to all traffic streams by considering each stream's QoS parameter. In this paper, a novel fair distributed QoS admission control method is proposed. The proposed method is a fair, adaptive QoS provisioning method, by allocating time slots to devices according to the current traffic load condition, through executing only a proposed single satisfaction of QoS (SoQ) algorithm at each device.

Design of CIC Interpolators with Improved Passband and Transition Region for Underwater Acousitc Communication (통과대역 및 전이영역 특성이 개선된 수중음파통신용 CIC 인터폴레이터 설계)

  • Research into underwater wireless networks that enable the monitoring and controlling of the ocean environments has been continuing for disaster prevention and military proposes, as well as for the exploitation of ocean resources throughout the world. A research group led by Hoseo university has been studying a distributed underwater monitoring and controlling network. In this study, we developed an interpolator for acoustic communication between an underwater base station controller and underwater base station, which is included in this network. The underwater acoustic communication provided by this network defines four links whose sampling rates are different. Low power consumption is one of the most important requirements. Therefore, we adopted CIC interpolators, which are known to act as filters with a low power consumption, and some CIC interpolators with an appropriate changing rate were selected depending on the link. However, these interpolators have a large passband drop and wide transition region. To solve these problems, we added a compensator and half-band filter. After verifying the algorithm by using Matlab, we designed and verified it with Verilog-HDL in a ModelSim environment.
