Formation of Liquid-Silicate Paint and Its Application Possibility (액상 무기계 도료의 제작과 그 적용가능성에 대한 연구)

  • 현재 널리 적용되고 있는 유기에폭시 도장의 경우에는 부식환경을 차단하는 등의 일반적인 차원에는 상당히 우수하나, 열이나 빛에 의한 열화 및 부식 문제와 환경오염 등의 문제를 가지고 있다. 이를 해결하기위한 방법으로 순수 무기계의 액상 규산질을 바인더로 사용한 도료의 제작을 시도하였으며, 열화성능평가시험을 통해 그 적용가능성에 대해 검토하였다. 실험결과 환경친화적인 -Si-O-Si- 결합의 1액형 무기 규산질 도료의 제작이 가능하였으며 향후 여러 가지 성능 중 특히 내식성, 내산성 및 광택성 등의 보완연구가 선해오디어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

  • Concrete has been considered as a semi-permanent structural material, because its excellent durability. However, such high durable structure is often attacked by some environmental condition such as chloride diffusion, carbonation and so on. In order to prevent the deterioration behaviors of concrete structures. We estimated durability of concrete when used surface treatment system and coatings by new type inorganic coating materials. Base on the results of chloride ion's diffusion test, the coated cement mortar had smaller transmitted quantity.

  • Recently the building material have been developed with the concept of controlling the indoor environment as well as the concept of emitting contaminants less. So, a lot of products with humidity control characteristics put it on the market. However, objective evaluation to these products doesn't work out. Thus consumers cannot obtain accurate information to these products. Therefore, we selected inorganic paint in the functionality materials and evaluated its humidity control characteristic in this research. We divided by four stages and evaluated this inorganic paint. The 1st and 2nd third experiments were executed on a natural condition and the fourth experiment was executed with humidity had been raised by using the humidifier.

  • Generally, organic paint on steel towers can guarantee durability in normal condition but occasionally shows its deterioration on the power line tower and electric power facilities, exposed to light(ultra violet) or heat. The objective of this study is to develope the inorganic paint material based on fluid silicic acid for steel electric power facilities. For the purpose, optimal mixture proportion is derived through 6 preliminary test and, additionally physical and durability performance test are carried out for selected specimens. The performances of developed organic paint material is similar to those of organic paint material. If resistance to chemical attack is improved, the developed inorganic paint is evaluated to replace the organic paint and obtain wide application.

  • Chloride diffusion effect of cement paste, freezing and thawing test, carbonation of concrete specimen were carried out using inorganic coating material. According to the chloride ions diffusion test, it is elucidated that permeability and diffusion coefficient of Cl ̄ ions and apparent coefficient of coated cement paste is smaller than plain cement paste. A durability of coated concrete specimen was enhanced by the experiment result of concrete carbonation and freezing thawing test.

A Study on the Properties and Fabrications of Eco-Ceramics Paint (친환경 무기질 도료의 제조 및 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Sick house syndrome comes from VOCs that is harmful to health. To reduce VOCs, the cause of sick house syndrome, several materials have been developed and use. One of this materials, VOCs absorption paint was developed. VOCs absorption paint contains ceramic binder and zeolite powder. In the present study, eco-ceramics paint has been successfully fabricated by high-speed mixer using ceramic binder and filler powders. The eco-ceramics paint thus obtained have a deodorization rate with about 95.7$ \%$ and the bacteria decreasing rate is about 99.6$\%$. Moreover, the eco-ceramics paint showed excellent VOCs interception properties due to effect of ceramics layer and zeolite which exist in surface of paint.
