  • This study defined the types of barrier and conducted the impact of barrier in adventurous sports. There are many research on adventurous sports, but these researches have several limitations. First, these studies have overlooked important role of barrier in adventurous sports. Also, previous studies on barriers haven't showed the moderating effects of personality on barriers. So, this study attempts to complement the lack of existing research and this purposes of the study is as follows. First, it is to show the positive impacts of barriers on absorbing experience that had been overlooked in the previous researches. Second, it is to propose the moderating effects of personality-arousal seeking, reactance tendency- on the relationship between barriers and absorbing experience. Survey research is employed to test these hypotheses. Previous researches, such as marketing, adventure sports, hedonic research, have been referenced to measure constructs. We collected data involving various adventure sports, and used 171 respondents to analyze these data using moderating regression. In the final section, we discussed several limitations of our study and suggested directions for future research. We concluded with a discussion of managerial implications, including the potential to advance understanding adventure sports and implying an enhanced ability to satisfy target consumers of it.

  • This study is designed to investigate how the perceived characteristics of the online video services affect the 'flow' as positive experience and satisfaction of users. For the study, we conducted a questionnaire survey on 289 people using YouTube, and then analyzed the relationships among variables using hierarchical regression analysis. As a result, it was confirmed that interactivity, newness of recommendation service, diversity of content, and entertainingness of contents all affect the lower level of flow experience. On the other hand, the accuracy of the recommendation service did not affect the flow experience, but positively affects the level of satisfaction. Finally, it is also confirmed that flow has a direct effect on user satisfaction, and mediates relationship between the characteristics of YouTube and satisfaction. The results of this study are helpful to understand user's perception and experience of online video platform service and suggest the discussion points to be considered by the industry to satisfy users.

  • Introductory programming course using robots that makes good effect to learners. I investigated that the effects on flow at using robots of introductory programming course. According to experiment result, the flow level showed significant change and all of it's element(antecedents, experiences, effects) had changed significantly. This result means that using robots of introductory programming course makes effect that is very positive in flow level of learners. There was strong interrelation by each element of flow in the result of correlation analysis about flow element. In particular, interrelation of antecedents element and experience element was high. Therefore, using robot is precondition of flow, and the level of experience element is high according to level of antecedents, and also experience element elevate the learner's intrinsic satisfaction. The conclusion is that using robots of introductory programming course is helpful enhancing learner's flow level and is positive in study achievements.

  • According to the Flow Theory, when the perceived level of Challenges of player and his skill are high, he is able to experience the flow state. What does the skill mean in the Flow Theory? This study suggests that the self-efficacy of the actor should be concerned to understand the perceived level of actor's skill in relation to the level of Challenges and his personal characteristics. This study hypothesizes the equity-distribution of extrinsic reward and the positive reputation influence the player's self-efficacy, and his self-efficacy affect the flow experience. This hypothesis is confirmed by the structure equation model test. This result can serve to understand skill related on the flow theory, and what factors players to get flow experience are given by.

  • Some games distract the player's immersion on purpose through the progression and direction of the game, thereby giving them an opportunity for rational awareness. In this paper, we tried to analyze the characteristics and types of alienation strategies of digital games. So we investigated the anti-immersive property of the game with the effect of Brecht 's alienation and proposed three strategic types of digital games that cause the anti-immersive effect into 'disturbance of sensory information', 'reversal of narrative and overturning of genre' and 'limitation of experience'.

  • The purpose of this study was to establish a model for the structural relationship between the participation motivation and flow experience, self-achievement and life satisfaction in windsurfers. The subjects in this study were 206 selected male and female adults who windsurfed on a beach in Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province. The statistical packages SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 16.0 were used to conduct the statistical analysis of the collected data. First, the participation motivation of the windsurfers exercised a significant influence on their flow experience(t=18.156, p<.001). Second, the participation motivation of the windsurfers had a significant impact on their self-achievement(t=19.848, p<.001). Third, the participation motivation of the windsurfers affected their life satisfaction in a significant way(t=8.219, p<.001). Fourth, the flow experience of the windsurfers impacted on their self-achievement in a significant manner (t=9.769, p<.001). Fifth, the flow experience of the windsurfers had no significant impact on their life satisfaction(t=16.033, p<.001). Sixth, the self- achievement of the windsurfers didn't exert any significant influence on their life satisfaction(t=17.438, p<.001). The findings of this study can be used to help windsurfers improve their quality of life.

  • This study was to understand "flow" that has been very popular in the area of phenomenology and to interpret it from the perspectives of mathematics education to activate its use in mathematics education. The flow is the state in which people are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter; the experience itself is so enjoyable that people will do it for the sheer sake of doing it. If anyone in society can experience with training how to get into flow, students should have chances to experience flow included in high-order thinking in order to have better fuality of life and to be confident problem solvers in the future.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of group success on organizational commitment in organizational situations. It also aimed to investigate the dynamics in the relevance of motivational attitudes to the individual and group level variables(collective efficacy, group cohesiveness). This study used a multi-level model and tested a series of hypotheses through meso-mediation procedure. The results from 613 naval officials in 36 groups provided evidence that; (1) collective efficacy mediated the relationship between group success and group cohesiveness, (2) the cross-level main effects of group success and collective efficacy were shown on vocationa[l self-efficacy, (3) group cohesiveness exerted positive influence on organizational commitment and (4) the meso-mediation effects among the variables at the multi-level were revealed. It was found that the degree of work motivation and motivational attitudes depended on the group's contextual factors, and that each group's shared perceptions on group performance outcomes could be an important motivational source and cornerstone leading to group cohesiveness. The implications and limitations of these study as well as the direction for future study were discussed.

  • The objective of this study is to survey Social Participation of the Elderly's quality of life according to their activity levels and examine the differences by their gender and age. The subjects of this study were elderly aged 60 or older who are living in the metropolitan area and those reportedly participating in various social activities at the time of the survey. A total of 586 cases were used for the analysis. Data were analyzed through multi group analysis using a structural equation model, and AMOS 7.0 was used in statistical processing. The results of this study showed that, first, the quality of life was significantly and positively affected by flow experiences in economic participation, social fellowship participation, and self development participation. Second, the results of multi group analysis on the relations between the social participation level and the quality of life according to gender demonstrated that the there were gender differences on the full path model, and that there were significant differences in relationships between the volume of social fellowship participation and the quality of life between men and women. Third, a similar finding was found for the age group that the paths between flow experiences in economic participation and the quality of life significantly differed by age groups. Based on these findings, implications for theory and practice were discussed.
