Retinaldehyde (RA), vitamin A derivative, is an intermediate between retinol and retinoic acid and has an excellent wrinkle improving effect. In this study, Drug-in-cyclodextrin-in-liposome (DCL) was used to enhance the stability and skin penetration of RA. The complex of RA and hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) was prepared by the freeze-drying method, and the presence or absence of inclusion of retinal was confirmed by UV-Vis spectrometer, FT-IR and SEM images. RA was captured in HP-β-CD about 95.6% on 1 : 15 (w/w). The retinal-HP-β-CD complex was encapsulated in liposomes using a homomixer and microfluidizer, with an average particle size of 215 ± 4.2 nm and a zeta potential of -31.2 ± 0.5 mv. In the evaluation of the degradation stability of RA, degradation rate of RA-HP-β-CD-liposomes in water was 1.8% higher than RA-liposome (5.8%), RA-HP-β-CD complex (9.7%) and RA alone (37.6%). RA cream (0.05% RA) including RA-HP-β-CD-liposomes was prepared for clinical test with wrinkle-improving efficacy and skin dermis denseness evaluated for 2 or 4 weeks. RA cream showed a significant wrinkle improving effect without skin irritation. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the double stabilization technology using the DCL system contribu tes to the effect of improving skin wrinkles by increasing the stabilization of retinal.
This study was conducted to investigate the diversity of ectomycorrhizal mushroom by surveying sites from June 2004 to October 2005. The obtained results from investigation were as follows. The total of 5 classes 16 orders 63 families 149 genera and 358 species including saprophytic and ectomycorrhizal fungi was investigated. A total of 17 families 36 genera 152 species (1,285ea.) of ectomycorrhizal mushroom was investigated. The mushrooms are classified into 9 families 27 genera and 136 species in Agaricales, 5 families 6 genera and 12 species in Aphyllophorales and 3 families 3 genera and 4 species in Gasteromycetes. Dorminant species were Russulaceae (35 species) followed by Boletaceae (34 species), Amanitaceae(22 species) and Cortinariaceae (21 species). The mushroom occurrence of octomycorrhizal fungi was closely related to climatic conditions such as high air temperature and lots of rainfall from July to September. The environment factors which have a favorable influence of mushroom occurrence were soil pH, available $P_{2}O_{5}$ of soil and rainfall and air temperature of climatic environment.
Seven species of higher fungi which were collected at Kwangneung, Mt. Hanla, Mt. Chiri, Taeqwanryung, and Yeongdong district, and preserved in the institute from 1975 to 1977, were classified into new korean species. Also, two species of fungi were collected from April to October 1978 and identified at Suweon, Kwangneung, and Mt. Chiri. They were as follows: Hygrophorus pratensis, H. flavescens, H. puniceus, Rhodophyllus rhodopolious Lepiota atrosquamulosa, Leucocoprinus fragilissima Lyophyllum semitale, Russula delica and Xerocomus badius.
The sponge specimens, which were collected by scuba divers from Komundo Island during the years from 1994 to 1995, identified into 36 species in 26 genera of 19 families. Among them four species, Stelleta japonica Lebwohl, 1914, Caminella velata Lebwohl, 1914, Stylohalina hirta Topsent, 1898 and Esperiopsis rugosa Thiele, 1905 are newly recorded in Korean waters.
A Taxonomic investigation was carried out on the following seven spider mites (Family tetranychidae) by comparison of morphological characters, cuticular lobes and karyotypes. Materials used in this study were collected and reared at Jeonju, Jorea during October 1985-June 1986. Subfamily Bryobiinae ; Bryobia praetiosa Koch, 1836 ; Petrobia latens (Mller, 1776). Subfamily Tetranychinae ; Panonychus citri (McGregor , 1919) ; P.ulmi (Koch, 1836): T vienensis tranychus Zacher , 1920 ; T.urticae (Koch, 1836) ; T. kanzawai Kishida , 1927. Of them two species, P. latens and T. kanzawai , are newly recorded from Korea.

Objectives: We investigated the influence of the neck acupressure massage and the neck cream including korean herbal extract on the neck wrinkles and blood circulation. Methods: Korean female($37.47{\pm}3.66$ years, n=18) aged 30-39 years were participated in this study. We measured the neck wrinkles with PRIMOS(GFMesstechnik GmbH, Germany) and blood circulation of neck and facial skin with Laser Doppler Imaging-Periscan PIM II(Perimed AB, Sweden). Results: The neck wrinkles were significantly decreased after applying neck cream. But when with the neck acupressure massage, the neck wrinkles were decreased 2-fold than applying only the neck cream. The skin blood circulation was significantly increased on the neck and facial skin immediately after the neck acupressure massage. But this effect was not significantly different after 8 weeks Conclusions: This result suggests that the neck acupressure massage can improve the anti-wrinkles effect of the neck cream including Korean herbal extract.
Mushrooms growing spontaneously in the Juwangsan National Park were surveyed from April to October 2017 for supporting management of higher fungi and creating a bio-diversity database of the park. In total, two divisions, eight classes, 21 orders, 85 families, 225 genera, and 503 species were detected. Among them, 247 species belonged to order Agaricales, which occupied 48.8% of the population, followed by members of orders Polyporales and Russulales. The mushrooms were abundant in August, and an altitude of 300-400 m above sea level was optimal for their growth, such as those found at Sanguijigu, Deajeonsa, and Geodaeri semgoal areas. Furthermore, Macrolepiota procera and Sarcodon aspratus, which belong to criteria of climate change, were detected in this survey.
Bursae copulatrix of six species of Gonepteryx were morphologically compared using a steroscopic microscope and a scaning electron microscope. As other genera of Pieridae, appendix bursae were developed in this genus and the shapes of the bursae copulatrix were different to species. However, shapes of signa were stable and were not distinct to species. On innersurfaces around ribbon-like signa, many folds were developed and most of inner-surface processes were widely distributed on the oppostie side of signa. Most of innersurface processes were spindle-like and basal ridges were developed. G. aspasia and G. taiwana were recognized as the most similar species in Gonepteryx considering shapes of bursae copulatrix and the condition of innersurface processes.
Wild Mushrooms collected in Mt. Halla of Jeiu Island around altitude of $200{\sim}1000\;m$ from 1999 to 2000 were studied to investigate utilization as the natural breeding sites by wild drosophilids. Thirty-five mushroom species belonging to the 19 genera of 12 families from 2 orders were used as natural breeding sites by drosophilids. Adult flies emerged from 14 species of mushrooms belonging to the 11 genera of 8 families from 2 orders were identified. From the rest of 21 species of mushrooms, only larvae or/and pupae were reaped. Among 35 species of mushrooms, 34 species belonged to order Agaricales and only one species, Sarcodon scabrosum, belonged to order Aphyllophorales. In terms of composition of mushroom families, total 35 species belonging to 12 families were composed of 10 species of Russulaceae, 6 species of Amanitaceae, 4 species of each Tricholomataceae and Agaricaceae, 3 species of Boletaceae, 2 species of Strophariaceae and each one species of rest 6 families. Concerning the composition of the genus, 35 species belonging to 11 genera were composed of 8 species of Russula, 6 species of Amanita, 4 species of Agaricus, 2 species of Lactarius, and each one species of rest 7 genera. In terms of the mushroomsize preference of drosophilid flies for breeding sites, most flies preferred comparatively large mushrooms above 5 cm of pileus size in diameter, Fourteen species of drosophilids were identified as mushroom-breeding species. Among these, one and five species belonged to genera Mycodrosophila and Hirtodrosophila respectively, The genus Drosophila included the most abundant 8 species. Drosophila bizonata and Hirtodrosophila sexvittata bred on 6 species of mushrooms respectively, D. unispina bred on 3 species of mushrooms, rest species of Drosophila bred on one or two species of mushrooms. From the result of this study and other literatures, it could be presumed that much more mushroom species could serve as the natural breeding sites for greater number of drosophilid species than those examined in this study on Jeju Island.
