  • Generally, there are (1)Words for conversation (2)Tone (3)Pitch (4)Formant frequency (5)Speech speed, etc as the element for emotional recognition from speech signal. For human being, it is natural that the tone, vice quality, speed words are easier elements rather than frequency to perceive other s feeling. Therefore, the former things are important elements fro classifying feelings. And, previous methods have mainly used the former thins but using formant is good for implementing as machine. Thus. our final goal of this research is to implement an emotional recognition system based on pitch, formant, speech speed, etc. from speech signal. In this paper, as first stage we foun specific features of feeling angry from his words when a man got angry.

  • This study searches for an abstract aesthetic dimension that has an important response to preference by finding products excluded in past studies on aesthetics. Furthermore, the adjective image languages are examined, grouped and examined in order to also take into account the dimensions that are regarded as important for the selected product. Based on this, the preference trends will be inferred and the level of aesthetic dimensions that are import in the product will be found and presented based on its preference to create an accurate objective point. Based on the values of the levels of the aesthetic preference types and aesthetic elements found by this and presenting the preferred types in the design process, the objective of this study is to create designs with small chance of failure. In addition, it attempts to present a new direction for research of aesthetic dimensions.

  • 인체 데이터를 살펴볼 수 있는 환경은 의학적으로 중요하고, 교육적으로도 필요하다. 의대 학생의 경우 인체 데이터를 사용해서 실습을 해 볼 수 있다면, 실제 수술 등의 의료 행위에 큰 도움을 받을 수 있다. 인체 데이터 시뮬레이션을 하기 위해서는 여러 수준의 시스템이 필요하다. 첫 단계가 데이터를 시각화하여 관찰할 수 있는 환경을 제공하는 시각화 플랫폼이다. 본 논문에서는 기존 시각화 플랫폼을 이용하여 인체 데이터를 보여주는 변환 방식에 대해서 밝힌다. 기존에는 기계적인 제약 사항으로 인해 많은 양의 3차원 데이터를 인터넷을 통한 서비스에 어려움이 있었다. 현재는 개인 피씨의 성능 향상에 의해 3차원 데이터도 인터넷으로 일정 부분 서비스가 가능하다. 시각화 플랫폼을 현재의 환경에서 활용하여 인체 데이터를 관찰할 수 있도록 구현하는 것이 본 논문의 목표이다.

  • Early diagnosis of autism and intervention of medical treatment are very significant to develop specific social communication skill for children with autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs). But they have difficulties in medical treatment because of lack of a public welfare institution and special medical system. In particular, few children can access such treatment and the existing single-therapist clinics are inefficient with regard to cost and time. Therefore, new methods should be studied for developing various products, services, and systems for autistic children. This study discusses the potential use of an interactive design as assistive technology for such children. We utilize the experience gained in the collaborative design of the interactive therapy system (ITS). The key methods include a collaborative design with rapid interactive prototyping, heuristic evaluation, user-centered process, VR technology, tangible interface, and scenario-based contents. We applied these methods to the ITS and proved the efficiency of interactive design as an assistive technology through clinical experimentation.

  • This study tried to analyze the case of character education class using reading for pre-primary early childhood teachers. To this end, the criteria for character education were established based on literature research, and a list of books appropriate for it was selected, and then applied to practice. The goal of character education class using reading for pre-school teachers is to cultivate the character that an early childhood teacher should have and to develop the ability to apply character education program through reading to young children. This study selected books based on the contents of personality virtues after taking a course on the concept and theory of personality contents for college students who are taking the 'personality and emotional reading' course in their major. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it presents contents that can be practiced in connection with the family as a personality education program that can be applied not only to pre-primary teachers, but also to early childhood teachers and young children.

Optimization of Light Source Combination through the Illuminance and Color Temperature Simulation of Circadian Lighting Apparatus (감성조명용 조명기기의 조도 및 색온도 시뮬레이션을 통한 광원 조합의 최적화)

  • The aim of this study is to optimize the light source combination which can maximize the capability of the illuminance and color temperature of circadian lighting apparatus. To achieve this goal, the circadian lighting apparatus was consisted of two different types of fluorescent lamps having different color temperature of 2000K and 8000K, respectively, and the capability of the illuminance and color temperature of circadian lighting apparatus was evaluated by optical simulation as the number of the respective lamps were varied. Considering the Kruithof's curve and exceptional cases, the ranges of illuminance and color temperature for the living activities were reclassified in 4 groups - gathering, studying, relaxing and sleeping - so that the target range of illuminance and color temperature of lighting apparatus was settled. As a result, in the case of adopting two fixtures in which four 2000K lamps and five 8000K lamps were consisted, respectively to one fixture, the highest illuminance was expected at 4000K and over 500lx of illuminance was calculated between 3000K and 6000K. Through the optimized combination of light sources, the range of illuminance and color temperature were calculated as $44{\sim}750lx$ and $2500{\sim}6500K$, respectively.

How to improve the accuracy of recommendation systems: Combining ratings and review texts sentiment scores (평점과 리뷰 텍스트 감성분석을 결합한 추천시스템 향상 방안 연구)

  • As the importance of providing customized services to individuals becomes important, researches on personalized recommendation systems are constantly being carried out. Collaborative filtering is one of the most popular systems in academia and industry. However, there exists limitation in a sense that recommendations were mostly based on quantitative information such as users' ratings, which made the accuracy be lowered. To solve these problems, many studies have been actively attempted to improve the performance of the recommendation system by using other information besides the quantitative information. Good examples are the usages of the sentiment analysis on customer review text data. Nevertheless, the existing research has not directly combined the results of the sentiment analysis and quantitative rating scores in the recommendation system. Therefore, this study aims to reflect the sentiments shown in the reviews into the rating scores. In other words, we propose a new algorithm that can directly convert the user 's own review into the empirically quantitative information and reflect it directly to the recommendation system. To do this, we needed to quantify users' reviews, which were originally qualitative information. In this study, sentiment score was calculated through sentiment analysis technique of text mining. The data was targeted for movie review. Based on the data, a domain specific sentiment dictionary is constructed for the movie reviews. Regression analysis was used as a method to construct sentiment dictionary. Each positive / negative dictionary was constructed using Lasso regression, Ridge regression, and ElasticNet methods. Based on this constructed sentiment dictionary, the accuracy was verified through confusion matrix. The accuracy of the Lasso based dictionary was 70%, the accuracy of the Ridge based dictionary was 79%, and that of the ElasticNet (${\alpha}=0.3$) was 83%. Therefore, in this study, the sentiment score of the review is calculated based on the dictionary of the ElasticNet method. It was combined with a rating to create a new rating. In this paper, we show that the collaborative filtering that reflects sentiment scores of user review is superior to the traditional method that only considers the existing rating. In order to show that the proposed algorithm is based on memory-based user collaboration filtering, item-based collaborative filtering and model based matrix factorization SVD, and SVD ++. Based on the above algorithm, the mean absolute error (MAE) and the root mean square error (RMSE) are calculated to evaluate the recommendation system with a score that combines sentiment scores with a system that only considers scores. When the evaluation index was MAE, it was improved by 0.059 for UBCF, 0.0862 for IBCF, 0.1012 for SVD and 0.188 for SVD ++. When the evaluation index is RMSE, UBCF is 0.0431, IBCF is 0.0882, SVD is 0.1103, and SVD ++ is 0.1756. As a result, it can be seen that the prediction performance of the evaluation point reflecting the sentiment score proposed in this paper is superior to that of the conventional evaluation method. In other words, in this paper, it is confirmed that the collaborative filtering that reflects the sentiment score of the user review shows superior accuracy as compared with the conventional type of collaborative filtering that only considers the quantitative score. We then attempted paired t-test validation to ensure that the proposed model was a better approach and concluded that the proposed model is better. In this study, to overcome limitations of previous researches that judge user's sentiment only by quantitative rating score, the review was numerically calculated and a user's opinion was more refined and considered into the recommendation system to improve the accuracy. The findings of this study have managerial implications to recommendation system developers who need to consider both quantitative information and qualitative information it is expect. The way of constructing the combined system in this paper might be directly used by the developers.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 HCI 이론에 근거하여 교육용 웹 코스웨어 개발에 중요한 요소인 인간과 컴퓨터의 상호작용에 기반한 연구를 통해 HCI 기반의 효율적인 웹 코스웨어의 설계 방안을 마련하고자 한다. HCI가 최종적으로 달성하고자하는 목표는 해당 시스템을 사용하는 사람들에게 최적의 경험을 제공하는 것이며 시스템 개발에서 최적의 경험은 유용성(usefulness), 사용성(usability), 감성(affect)의 조건에 있다. 교육용 웹 코스웨어를 설계할 때 HCI 이론의 중요한 요소인 사용자 인터페이스를 고려하고 학습자와의 상호작용을 극대화시킬 수 있는 설계 지침을 제시하여 학습자들이 편리하고 즐겁게 학습에 임할 수 있는 웹 코스웨어 설계의 기초자료로서 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 미래의 우리생활 환경에서는 기존의 PC와는 다른 형태의 컴퓨팅 기술을 요구할 것이다. IT 기반 환경이 발전됨에 따라서 지능 및 감성을 갖는 개인 서비스 로봇으로 발전하게 될 것이다. 즉 IT와 지능 기술을 로봇에 융합함으로써, 내가 컴퓨터에서 가서 필요한 정보를 받는 수동적 환경 보다는 로봇이 내게로 와서 내가 원하는 일을 하고, 원하는 정보를 제공하는 인간 중심적 환경을 만드는 것이 IT 융합형 미래형 로봇에 대한 궁극적인 목표라고 할 수 있다. 본 고에서는 IT 융합형 미래형 로봇 기술의 기반이 되는 기술동향을 소개하고, 미래형 로봇의 기반이 되는 요소 기술을 소개한다.

  • 지식경제부에서는 2020년까지 국가전체의 LED(반도체광원)조명 보급률을 60%까지 끌어 올린다는 내용으로 최근 LED 조명 보급활성화 방안인 'LED 2060' 정책을 새롭게 내놓았다. 이는 LED가 특정 파장(색깔)의 광원을 얻는 데 유리하고 저탄소 녹색기술이면서 저전력 광원으로써, 자동차 감성조명 등 다양한 응용시장의 급성장 잠재력을 파악한 정책인 것으로 이해되며, 이와 함께 산업체, 학계, 연구소 등에서는 LED효율 증가 응용기술 확대, 신뢰성확보 등 다양한 연구개발이 시도되고 있다. 한편, 한국광기술원(김선호 원장)은 LED 칩공정, 패키징, 시스템 및 응용기술 등에 대해 활발히 연구 중에 있으며, 특히 특정파장의 LED를 농림기술개발에의 적용을 시도하여 해충방제 관련 연구를 진행하고 있다(총괄책임자 김정헌 책임연구원). LED해충방제 연구는 농림수산식품부 수출전략기술개발사업의 지원을 받아 "LED 광원을 이용한 해충방제 시스템개발" 목표로 한국광기술원(총괄), (주)링크옵틱스, 전자부품연구원, 국립식량과학원, 전남대학교 등 5개 기관이 컨소시엄을 이루어 진행하고 있으며, 주 연구 내용은 해충방제용 LED램프 개발 및 양산, 빛에 대한 해충의 행동반응 연구 등이다.
