본 논문에서는 다양한 객체를 포함한 다단 문서 영상을 원본 문서와 거의 유사한 형태의 HTML 문서로 변환할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 또한 논문이나 매뉴얼, 책의 한 단원 등 여러장의 입력 문서의 경우, 문서의 논리적인 구조 분석을 수행하고 장이나 절 등의 섹션 제목들을 계층화하여 다단 문서의 변환과 동시에 구조화된 목차 페이지도 함께 자동 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 다단 문서 변환 알고리즘을 잡지, 신문, 광고지, 매뉴얼 등, 비정형화된 문서에 적용한 결과, 원본 문서의 형태와 구조에 큰 변함없이 유사하게 변환되었고, 논리적인 구조 분석 및 섹션 제목들의 계층화 작업 또한 정확히 수행되어 구조화된 목차 페이지의 자동 생성이 가능하였다.

In this study, titles, abstracts, and tables of content were evaluated and compared. The evaluation of the representativeness of surrogates and the evaluation through retrieval experiments were carried out in this study. Through the two experiments it was proved that titles are the best surrogate to condense information but they can't contain sufficient information because of the degree of condensation. Abstracts and tables of content are more effective than titles, while tables of content are the most effective.

이 연구에서는 도서관의 주요 장서에 해당하는 단행본 도서에 대한 자동 분류를 적용가능한지 알아보고자 하였다. 분류자질로 메타데이터인 서명, 목차, 책 소개를 사용하였으며, 다양한 자질 가중치를 적용하여 581건의 단행본 도서를 통해 kNN 분류기의 분류성능을 파악하였다. 실험 결과 이들 메타데이터를 모두 사용하였을 때 가장 좋은 분류성능을 가져왔으며, 실험문헌집단의 규모가 작은 한계가 있지만 로그 TF를 취한 가중치 방법이 좋은 성능을 가져왔다.

The purpose of this study is to develop standard curriculum content for the Introduction to Library and Information Science course. We intended to suggest both a syllabus and a textbook for this course. To this end, we collected and analyzed syllabi and textbooks that are used in LIS departments domestically and abroad. As a result, the major course content we found necessary to include in Introduction to Library and Information Science were as follows: 1. knowledge and information society, 2. information and sources of information, 3. the LIS academic system, 4. information professionals, 5. library history, 6. library and information center organization and management, 7. library types and their functions, 8. collection development, 9. information resources organization, 10. information services, 11. digital libraries, 12. information retrieval and databases 13. library cooperation, 14. library policy and information ethics, etc. The table of contents of a final textbook has been proposed including these elements.

With the rapid change of the Web and E-transaction application, the search interface is providing more powerful search and visualization methods, while offering smoother integration of technology with task. Especially, visualization techniques for long menu-lists are applied in retrieval system with the goal of improving performance in user's ability to select one item from a long list. In order to review visualization techniques appropriate to the types of users and data set, this study compared the five visualization browsers such as the Tree-structured menu, the Table-of-contents menu, the Roll-over menu, the Click menu, and Fisheye menu. The result of general analyses shows that among the hierarchical methods, the experienced group prefers the Table-of-contents method menu, whereas the novice's group prefers the Tree-structure method menu. Among the linear methods, the two groups prefer the Roll-over menu. The Roll-over menu is most preferred among the five browsers by the two groups.

This research was conducted to provide standardization method for new dental hygiene curriculum by identifying the overlapping of education content of the Department of Dental Hygiene and analytic syllabus. To complement these overlapping education programs, I would like to make some proposals. First, unified course shall be provided by compromising specific terms of overlapping subject, overlapping curriculums for the necessary skills required for job analysis of dental hygienist and overlapping class time. This shall increase the efficiency the class time and required curriculums. Next, proactive and continuos research for standardized approach to the Department of Dental Hygiene education content is necessary and Dental Hygiene academic circle shall build trust.
