Duplex sonography has been used to non-invasively diagnose carotid artery disease and to follow up patients with this disease. In carotid artery disease, carotid mobile thrombus and dissection are rarely detected by duplex sonography in patients with cerebrovascular events. In particular, carotid dissection occurs when a small tear forms in the tunica intima and makes 2 lumens in the carotid artery, including true and false lumens. This study reports 3 rare cases of carotid mobile thrombus, spontaneous carotid dissection, and carotid dissection in Takayasu arteritis.

Li-Fraumeni syndrome (LFS) is an inherited autosomal-dominant tumor-predisposition disorder caused by germline mutations in the TP53 tumor suppressor gene. Since patients with LFS are likely to develop therapy-related cancers, radiation therapy should be avoided if breast cancer is found in these individuals. Herein, we present a case of secondary breast cancer in an LFS patient after radiation and chemotherapy for the first diagnosed breast sarcoma.

Carotid artery stenting (CAS) has emerged as an alternative treatment for carotid stenosis in patients poorly suited for endarterectomy. Intracerebral hemorrhage following carotid revascularization (endarterectomy, angioplasty, artery stenting) is rare and thought to be related to reperfusion injury in most cases. Early experience suggests an increased incidence of hemorrhage following CAS as compared to endarterectomy. In this study, data were obtained through a case report on an 80-year-old male patient with cerebral infarction. The 80-year-old hypertensive man developed sudden monoparesis in the left arm. He underwent CAS for 90% stenosis of the left proximal internal carotid artery. Brain CT after procedure showed acute hematoma with left posterior cerebral artery territorial hemorrhage, including the upper thalamus with extended intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH). Since this hemorrhage occurred in vascular territory unlikely to have been supplied by the treated artery, this case suggests that the mechanism of intracerebral hemorrhage following CAS may in some cases be different from hyperperfusion hemorrhage classically described following endarterectomy.

This paper proposes to analyze artistic characteristic based on the line expression of , Te Wei's Chinese water-ink animation. We considered the transitions of Chinese water-ink animation through Shang-hai Animation Film Studio's works which induced the dominant improvement in Chinese animations and other major animation industries internationally with the theoretical explanations about particular understanding of line concept and formative characteristics. We not only considered line expression of , aesthetic and idea etc. which are the central point of this paper but also researched the artistic possibilities through the effects of Chinese water ink and line and the relationship of animation.

Male breast cancer is rare, accounting for approximately 1% of breast cancers. Metastasis from extra-mammary malignancy to the breast in men is extremely rare. The most common primary tumors that metastasize to the breast in male are prostate, lung, stomach, colorectal cancer, melanoma, and sarcoma. To our knowledge, only a few cases of bladder cancer presenting with metastasis to the male breast have been reported, and metastasis with infiltration rather than mass is extremely rare. We report imaging findings on mammography and ultrasonography in a 59-year-old male with bladder cancer metastatic to the breast.

Objectives: A case study about the effectiveness of integrative Korean medicine treatment in a psychogenic tremor patient. Case presentation: A 36-year-old male diagnosed with psychogenic tremor with low back pain underwent 29 days of inpatient treatment and 4 weeks of outpatient treatment. His pattern identification was a psychogenic tremor of the weakness of the heart and gall bladder (SimDamHeoGup) type. The treatments were herbal medicine and acupuncture. He took Cheongshimondam-tang for 29 days and Chunwangbosim-dan for 6 weeks when he had symptoms. He also received acupuncture for 20 minutes twice a day at GB20 (Pungji), L14 (Hapgok), HT4 (Yeongdo), PC6 (Naegwan), HT7 (Sinmun), GB34 (Yangleungcheon), ST36 (Joksamni), SP6 (Sameumgyo), and LR3 (Taechung). After 8 weeks of treatment, the Fahn Tolosa Marin rating (FTM) scale of his tremor, at rest, dropped from Grade 4 on both upper extremities, trunk, and both lower extremities at the time of admission to Grade 2 in both upper extremities and trunk, and Grade 0 in both lower extremities at the time of discharge. His Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) score decreased from 38 to 7, and his numerical rating scale (NRS) decreased from 8 to 1 for low back pain and from 9 to 2 for tremor. A follow-up visit to the hospital 2 months after the end of treatment confirmed continued symptom improvements and no significant side effects. Conclusions: This study suggests the possibility of treating psychogenic tremor using only Korean medicine treatments. Further studies with control groups and long-term follow-up are needed.
