One of the characteristics of a good construction is efficiently to use material and manpower related in the construction. From the preplanning stage to the completion one, a program planner must sufficiently consider the whole field of construction in terms of cost. The estimating account books were written and left in the Construction of the Kyongwoon Palace reconstructed in the beginning of 20th century. Trough those books and other related documents, this paper has been concentrated on the estimated, executed cost of woodwork in those days.

This research aims at the improvement of the manufacturing productivity of . kitchen furniture industry. W company deals with the orders of 2 types - the one is the batch order for mass production, and the other is the order of a customized single set. But, because the company has a single manufacturing system appropriate to mass production despite of the above 2 types-orders, the problems of increasing work-in-process, throughput time and material handling time were resulted in, and the overall productivity was generally low. We proposed a new material handling method to substitute the traditional one, the rearrangement of facility layout, and the introduction of a proper outsourcing method. This research results in about 80% increase in production quantity in the same period.

Wood carving has been extremely widely practiced, but survives much less well than the other main materials, being vulnerable to decay, insect damage, and fire. It therefore forms an important hidden element in the art history of many cultures. Even though wood is less durable than either steel or stone, it has been used for a long time due to its usefulness. Wood has a lot of benefits. So people have used wood for materials in houses, trains, cars, bridges, and simple utilities in their ways according to their own religions, climates, and environment they are living in. Nowadays, there are wood products that are made up for its weaknesses and this has made wood be used in variety fields. Moreover, wood has been widely selected materials for sculptures, interior, and also for architecture thanks to its colors and textures. Wood has helped our life more abundant and beautiful.

This paper addresses the time and motion study on the woodworking in the primary school. Time study by stopwatch is performed for calculating the standard tie of woodworking. The operator process chart is developed for better illustration and teaching methodology. The purpose of this study is to present a good guideline for woman teachers or beginers(teachers), as well as to provide how much time units are adequate for a special woodworking unit of practice art. According to the result, the contribution of this paper is very much and it is very useful for both teachers and students.

This study is a background for developed woodworking educational program. To achieve the propose of this research, related to handwork to figure out the concept, changes and characteristics of handwork and the products of handwork. The areas of woodworking needs basic hand function of gripping and hooking, strong hands and stability of hand operation. Activities of this area can enhance the ability of controlling the strength of hand and the stability of hand operation. The use of both hands in woodworking promotes the coordination of both hands and handling ability. In the woodworking, diverse functions of hands are used with various tools. Each hand may be move differently, and the hand operation is elaborated. These features of woodworking help growing coordinations and hand function, and developing brain and creativeness.

Woodcraft activity is inseparable with our ordinary life and its relevant research should be consistently maintained because it has significant educational value to blossoming students. These days, which interest in woodcraft is rapidly expanding from early childhood to old age, this study was done to provide images to those who work in this field or who have interest. Out of the 43 jewelry and gift boxes used in this study, species of white which has low proportion of packing materials consists of species of Fir (Abies spp), Birch (Betula spp) and Amercia basswood (Tilia americana Linnaeus) and the higher proportion species of Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla), Bayor (Pteorospermum diversifolium Bl), Snakewood (Piratinera guianensis aubl.) and Bintangor (Calophhyllum spp.) were used in valuable products. It was showed that out of 56 works selected from '400 Wood Boxes', the species of Walnut (Juglans regia), Cherry (Prunus serotina), Wenge (Milletia laurentii De. wild), Ebony (Diospyros spp.), Ash (Fraxinus spp.) and Cocobolo (Dallbergia cultrata Grah.) were frequently used.

Laminated lumber is an engineered wood products using stress rated, seasoned and selected lumber. Each piece of lumber is graded, and then end jointed to produce the required length. This study was carried out to investigate the possibility of wooden artifacts with laminated lumber. It is expected through this research that wooden artifacts, which have originality and local character, can be developed by making design of wooden artifacts through the use of plentiful resources around the local area. A development of new design products, an improvement of distributive structure and the achievement of international competitiveness will contribute to develop the industrial artifacts art in Korea. And, it is necessary to develop a corporation system between industrial craft companies and universities.

Aggravation of natural environment, improvements in income, internet diffusion, spread of five-day work a week, and population aging seem very different from each other. However they boil down to consumption. These culture patterns are changing into environment-friendly and productive housing culture. In other words, people might tend to have frequent contacts with not only environment-friendly housing in bustling cities but also woods that is environment friendly materials in their leisure time. In the period of people young and old alike are in favor of woodcrafts, this study was conducted for giving information to who speicalized in woodcrafts. Furthermore, the study shows that other countries also added grain and figure to woodcrafts for visually appealing.

2007년 상반기 적용 건설업 임금실태조사(시중노임단가) 결과가 1월 1일자로 공포되어 적용에 들어갔다. 2006년 하반기 건설업 임금의 일일 평균임금은 9만6,343원에 비해 각각 1.7%, 3.6/% 상승한 것으로 나타났다. 건설 관련 145개 직종 중 104개 일반공사 직종의 평균임금은 전체 직종의 전반기 대비 상승률보다 0.1%포인트 낮은 1.6%였고, 특히 형틀목공, 철근공, 보통 인부 등 주요 15개 직종은 전체 직종 평균치를 웃도는 2.6% 상승함으로써 전체 임금상승을 이끌었다. 대한건설협회는 매년 상·하반기 2차례에 걸쳐 건설업 시중임금을 조사해 발표하고 있으며 이번에 발표한 임금은 전국의 1,700개 건설현장의 건설 관련 145개 직종을 대상으로 2006년 9월 한달간 실제 지급된 임금을 8시간 기준으로 조사한 것이다. 이번 임금 조사결과는 1월 1일부터 8월 30일까지의 건설공사 원가계산에 적용된다. 다음은 설비건설부문과 관련 직종 노임단가 분석 및 개별직종 노임단가 현황이다.

Repeated using carpentry workers work at working tools because of occupational low back pain, such as musculoskeletal disorders, occupational diseases are on the rise. For this purpose, through the analysis of musculoskeletal disorders and work tools and studies are underway to improve the working conditions of the workers. However, existing previous studies may not reflect the working tools used for carpentry worker dies when working at a construction site that Therefore, in this study, the work in the form of construction, one of the jobs of worker dies classified according to the working tools of musculoskeletal disorders correlated to analyze. The results of this study are as follows. working tools of a total of seven different dies used in the installation process. Musculoskeletal disorders, waist / drill such correlation was very strong. Also showed that a total of three of the tools used in the formwork dismantling cutter musculoskeletal disorders of the arm / elbow and a very strong correlation.
