  • 본 논문은 BLDC 팬모터의 속도제어 선형성(linearity)에 관한 것이다. PWM으로 모터의 속도를 제어할 때에 입력 duty cycle이 증가함에 따라 모터 속도가 선형적으로 증가하지 않는 문제가 발생한다. 모터를 구동하는 드라이브 IC의 출력 PWM duty cycle을 속도제어의 입력값에 해당하는 입력 PWM duty cycle과 비선형적으로 출력함으로써, 모터 속도의 입력 PWM duty cycle에 대해 선형성을 향상시켰다. 또한, 비휘발성 메모리에 설정값을 저장하여 선형성 정도를 조절가능하도록 하였다. 0.35um CMOS 공정으로 단상 BLDC 모터 드라이브 IC를 설계 및 제작하고, 모터 샘플을 이용하여 PWM 입력 duty cycle과 모터 속도와의 선형성 정도를 측정하였다.

Design of the Expanded Interrupt Controller using VHDL (VHDL을 이용한 확장 인터럽트 제어기의 설계)

  • Most digital signal processors provide 4 external interrupt input channels. But these are not sufficient for external interrupts of motor controls. Customized programmable interrupt controller, 8259, has 8 interrupt channels. Therefore, in the case of more external interrupt channels are needed, designers must expand by cascading the 8259. And this, 8259 device, have some inconvenience of interfacing the microprocessor in motor controls. In this paper, the expanded interrupt controller with 14 sufficient interrupt input channels for motor controls is designed using VHDL on the purpose of interfacing the microprocessor to the interrupt controller more compatibly and increasing the device utilization of FPGA/CPLD designed another peripherals. The interrupt controller model and each function blocks is proposed and illustrated. Simulation result are presented to estimate the designed interrupt controller.

  • In this paper a full FPGA-based and compact motor-control system is shown that makes it easy to control the motor and analyze the result data in real time with embedding not only a DC motor controller but also a TFT LCD interface in a single FPGA. Both a PID speed control module for a DC motor and a monitoring module for plotting real time graphs on to a TFT LCD are designed in a single FPGA, and the system validity is shown through simulation and experimental results. The FPGA used is xc3s400 and the entire system is designed by using the AD (Altium Designer). A PWM motor drive system is constructed by using MOSFETs for a DC motor 4-quadrant operations.

  • This paper describes on a position detection method for the motors which have repetitive operations using the Algorithmic State Machine(ASM), one of the digital logic design methods. With analyses for the incremental encoder output patterns, state diagram and state table are constructed and a digital circuit which can detect the changing point of direction of motor rotation is designed. To verify the validity of the designed circuit, simulations for all cases in which the direction of motor rotation is changed, are performed. Simulation results show the designed digital circuit can detect the direction of motor rotation accurately for all cases.

  • For silent operation, Roll-Screen has been designed by using piezolelectric ultrasonic motor. To drive the ultrasonic motor, a digitally controlled drive system has been designed by using PLD. And to measure the position and velocity of Roll-Screen, encoder with 36 pulse/revolution is used. This paper proposed a new method for a precise velocity control of ultrasonic motor, in spite of using low-level encoder. The proposed method use a non-fixed sampling time and compensate the initial nonlinear characteristics of ultrasonic motors.

  • A new axial flux permanent magnet machine with soft magnetic composited cores is proposed for electric vehicle application in this paper. The windings and soft magnetic composited cores can be designed to form a very compact structure, and; thus, the torque density can be improved greatly. To obtain the a good flux concentrating ability, two toroidally wound internal stator machines are designed and analyzed, and the designed motor is with NdFeB magnet for high-performance electric vehicle application. The 3-D finite-element method is used to analyze the electromagnetic parameter and performance, for performance comparison, a commercial axial flux permanent magnet machine is used. The proposed motor reduced weight about 5.8%, produced torque higher than about 8Nm for existing motor.

  • This study is to improve position accuracy by selecting proper a servo motor and applying FOC(Field Oriented Control) on developing a 3D terrestrial laser scanner. A 3D terrestrial laser scanner under developing has range of scanning of azimuth 360$^\circ$and elevation 270$^\circ$. It is implemented by precise controlling of a azimuth motor and a elevation motor. In the consequence of study, we have known that position accuracy of the motor can be able to be improved with constant torque of the motor by using FOC(Field Oriented Control). The control technic of the motor is possible to apply a 3D terrestrial laser scanner as well as a robotic total station.

  • 스테핑모터를 이용하여 간단하면서도 안정성이 좋은 망원경 구동장치를 제작하였다. 스테핑모터의 제어 구동회로는 +5V의 단일전원으로도 정전류 구동에 가까운 효율을 얻을 수 있도록 설계되었다. 이 회로는 적은 수의 값싼 TTL IC 소자들로만 이루러져 있어 손쉽게 만들 수 있고 컴퓨터에 의한 제어가 쉽다는 강점이 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 jansen's linkage와 기구설계를 기반으로 Theo Jansen의 strandbeast을 DC모터를 통해 구동하는 8족 보행로봇으로 설계 및 제작하고, 그에 대한 해석을 제시한다. 제작된 로봇은 크게 구동부, 제어부, 센서부로 나눌 수 있으며, 구동부는 모터와 다리로, 제어부는 Arduino 보드로 그리고 센서부는 광센서로 구성되어 있다. 구동부의 다리부분은 에디슨의 M-sketch를 통해 설계하였고, 제어부는 센서의 신호를 트랙에 맞추어 적합하게 받아드릴 수 있도록 코딩을 작성하였다. 제작된 로봇은 일반적인 로봇이 아니라 트랙에 맞추어 특화된 로봇으로 그 목적이 제한되어 있음을 밝히는 바이다.
