Development of the Power Monitoring System for the Planetary Geared Motor using Hall Effect Sensor (홀 이펙트 센서를 이용한 유성기어 감속기모터의 동력 모니터링 시스템 개발)

  • When the motor is rotating, the torque and rpm are varying as the loads or the driving status connecting through reduction units are changing. On the contrary, one can monitor the changes of the loads or the driving status in the manner of measuring motor torque and rpm. There is a torque measuring method using the strain gauge and bridge circuit. But, because this is the contact method, it has the life time which is dependent on rotating velocity and used time. So this system demands on replacement of some Parts or whole system itself for maintenance. And this system is also relatively big and expensive, requiring preceding annoying process. In this paper, we are going to suppose non-contact method to measure torque and rpm using the Hall effects sensor For this we have made the planetary geared reduction motor with Hall sensors and with the monitoring system. The monitoring system displays the sensing data(torque, rpm) and calculated data( power) and also has the network capability with Bluetooth protocol. Our solution is much more inexpensive ;md simple method to measure torque and rpm than before.

  • 교통 약자 승객의 편의성 증대, 도심의 매연 감소 및 온실가스 저감 등 대중 교통 선진화를 위해 친환경 초저상 전기버스의 개발이 필요하다. 초저상 전기버스는 초저상 액슬 일체형 휠모터 구동시스템을 탑재한 형태로 구현이 가능하며, 초저상 액슬 일체형 휠모터 구동시스템은 구동 모터를 액슬 허브에 일체화 시킴으로써 기존 구동시스템 대비 무게 및 사이즈가 대폭 줄어들고, 동력 전달 매커니즘을 획기적으로 개선하여 효율 향상 및 차량 연비 개선이 가능하다. 특히 바퀴 중심과 액슬 출력 중심에 단차를 둠으로써 차량의 전방 바닥 뿐만 아니라 후방바닥을 평평하게 유지할 수 있어 실내 공간이 획기적으로 개선되어 교통 약자를 포함한 승객의 편의성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 또한, 액슬 일체형 휠모터 구동시스템은 각 휠의 분산 구동이 가능하므로 동특성 및 구동제어성이 뛰어나고, ESP(Electronic Stability Program), VDC(Vehicle Dynamic Control) 등과 연계하여 통합적인 지능형 시스템을 구현할 수 있다. 액슬 일체형 휠모터 구동시스템은 휠모터와 감속기 및 휠모터제어기 등으로 구성되며, 본 논문에서는 초저상 액슬 일체형 구동시스템용 120kW급 휠모터 및 휠모터제어기의 개발 및 다이나모 환경에서 T-N 특성 및 최대 출력 시험, 효율 시험을 통해 전기버스 등 대형 차량(Heavy Duty Vehicle)에 적용 가능한 전기동력시스템의 성능을 확인하였다.

  • Industrial manipulators are usually heavy given the payloads they carry. Therefore, they require high-capacity servomotors and speed reducers, which leads to high costs. However, if manipulator weight could be compensated for using a counterbalance mechanism, the motors' and speed reducers' capacities could be minimized substantially. However, it is usually difficult to assure durability and reliability with the conventional wire-based counterbalance mechanism. Therefore, a more robust gear- and roller-based counterbalance mechanism is proposed in this study. A manipulator was developed using this mechanism; this manipulator maintains its performance even when using motors and reducers of lower capacities. The results of various simulations and experiments verified that the proposed mechanism provides the torque required to compensate for gravitational torque in any configuration and minimizes the torque required for supporting a large payload.

Fatigue Life Evaluation of Motor Block Bracket Units for KTX-Sancheon Trains (KTX-산천 열차용 모터 감속기 고정대의 피로 수명 평가)

  • In this study, fatigue life of the motor block bracket units for KTX-Sancheon trains was assessed. Design evaluation for railway structures was performed based on the UIC 566 regulation, and test and evaluation of fatigue life in welded parts was performed in accordance with standard ERRI B 12/RP17 and ERRI B 12/RP60. The actual vehicle dynamic stress testing was executed in KTX-Sancheon service line with the service operating speed. The dynamic stress was measured with commercial data acquisition system (MGC plus). The cumulative damage was evaluated by applying standard BS 7608 - Class F and cycle counting was used rain-flow counting method. As a result, the motor block bracket units for KTX-Sancheon trains was designed to fit the regulation and the safety of fatigue life for 30 years, assuming that KTX-Sancheon trains travels 600,000km annually, were confirmed under current operating conditions.

  • In this study, we conducted research on a miniaturized transmission system suitable for ultra-compact electric vehicles, such as electric arts or small electric cars. While conventional electric vehicles eliminate multi-gear transmissions and control motor output or secure initial driving force through reducers, in vehicles like electric karts or compact electric cars, which have relatively small battery capacities, the driving range can be reduced or the motor can be stressed epending on the loading state. Therefore, in this study, we developed a low stage ratio 0.625 and high stage ratio 1.6 a two-stage transmission system that can change gears as needed, considering factors such as slope conditions and loading status, by applying the continuously variable transmission (CVT) mechanism. Based on the selected gear ratios, we designed the transmission and created a test rig to verify the power transmission efficiency of the developed transmission. Using the test rig, we varied the rotational speed and load of the transmission to confirm its power transmission characteristics and also examined the heat generation characteristics during shifting and operation. As a result, developed a two-stage transmission with a CVT structure.

  • An adhesive wireless bookbinding machine was designed with optimal motor control and automatic cover insertion for bookbinding. The noise level was improved by modifying the thrust of the machine and changing from a compressor method to an AC induction motor control method. The automatic cover insertion function was added to improve the task speed. Motor and decelerator damage can be caused by sudden braking and acceleration of the motor rotation (clockwise and counter-clockwise), so a buffer-type locational control system was developed to secure stable movement and durability. The complicated internal design was also simplified, and the volume and weight were decreased. The results show that the noise was decreased by 57% from 135 dB to 71.7 dB, and the task speed was decreased by 57% from 18 s to 9.58 s. The automatic cover insertion was designed to supply a maximum of 130 sheets per supply.

  • 국내에서 사용되는 밭농업용 전동차는 산업용 DC MOTOR를 사용하고 있는 실정이다 왜냐하면 농업용 DC MOTOR는 그 수요가 미미해서 개발상품이 거의 없는 실정이다. 산업용DC MOTOR는 고정된 장치에 부착이 되어 있어 사용상에 별 문제가 없지만 밭농업용 전동차는 비포장 도로에 사용되고 있어 충격이나 과부하에 견디지 못하여 운행도중 심한충격이나 하중 또는 진동에 반복하중에 견디지 못하여 파괴되거나 소음등이 많이 나는경우가 많다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이를 개선하기 위해 감속기의 재질을 분석하고 마찰 마멸이 일어나는 부분의 재질변경과 표면열처리 등을 통하여 내구성을 증대에 대한연구를 실행 하였다.

  • Driving mechanism, the central part of a robot, was designed in this study. Power for the motive drive was acquired by directly connecting the motor shaft in worm shape of the low-end DC motor, car window motor, to a decelerator. The decelerator consists of a worm gear to receive power from the motor shaft, a pinion gear to be connected in line with the worm gear, and an output shaft to be engaged to the pinion gear. Motion driving is achieved by the power from the motor shaft with the designed gears, transferred to the deceleration mechanism and to the output gear.

  • 본 연구에서는 롤러식 양파 파종기의 작동 특성 파악을 위한 동적 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 롤러식 양파 파종기의 주요부는 롤러와 포트트레이로 구성된다. 양파 파종기의 작동 특성 파악을 위해 동력전달 경로의 구성요소와 각 주요부의 속도를 분석한 결과 동력원인 모터의 출력은 체인과 스프라켓을 통해 포트트레이와 롤러에 전달되며 모터에서의 회전속도는 1770rpm으로 감속기를 통해 출력축의 회전속도는 17.7rpm으로 감소한다. 이론적으로 도출한 포트트레이의 이동속도는 74.98mm/s, 롤러의 회전속도는 22.13rpm으로 나타났다. 시뮬레이션을 수행하기 위해 스캐너를 이용하여 롤러식 파종기를 실측했으며 후에 3D모델링을 진행하였다. 시뮬레이션 해석조건은 파종기의 실제 작동방식을 고려하여 롤러1과 3은 포트트레이와 면대면 접촉을 통해 회전하도록 설정하였고 롤러2와 롤러4는 동력전달경로에 포함된 스프라켓과 기어의 잇수비를 반영하여 회전속도를 도출하여 적용하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 롤러의 회전속도는 모두 22.13rpm으로 수식에 근거하여 도출한 값과 계측 값이 같음을 확인하였다. 또한 파종 깊이를 결정하는 요소인 롤러의 상토 압축 정도를 파악하기 위하여 롤러궤적 시뮬레이션을 통해 롤러 끝 단의 궤적을 분석하였는데 롤러궤적 분석 결과 롤러의 끝 단은 약 9.8mm 깊이로 내려가는 것을 확인하였다.

Evaluation of Optimal Time Between Overhaul Period of the First Driving Devices for High-Speed Railway Vehicle (고속철도차량 1차 구동장치에 대한 완전분해정비의 최적 주기 평가)

  • The first driving device of the power bogies for the Korean high-speed railway vehicle consists of the traction motor (TM) and the motor reduction gears unit (MRU). Although TM and MRU are the mechanically integrated structures, their time between overhauls (TBO) have two separate intervals due to different technical requirements(i.e. TBO of MRU: $1.8{\times}10^6km$, TBO of TM: $2.5{\times}10^6km$). Therefore, to reduce the unnecessary number of preventive maintenances, it is important to evaluate the optimal TBO with a viewpoint of reliability-center maintenance towards cost-effective solution. In this study, derived from the field data in maintenance, fault tree analysis and failure rate of the subsystem considering criticality of the components are evaluated respectively. To minimize the conventional total maintenance cost, the same optimal TBO of the components is derived from genetic algorithm considering target reliability and improvement factor. In this algorithm, a chromosome which comprised of each individual is the minimum preventive maintenance interval. The fitness function of the individual in generation is acquired through the formulation using an inverse number of the total maintenance cost. Whereas the lowest common multiple method produces only a four percent reduction compared to what the existing method did, the optimal TBO of them using genetic algorithm is $2.25{\times}10^6$km, which is reduced to about 14% comparing the conventional method.
