A Study for Autonomous Intelligence of Computer-Generated Forces (가상군(Computer-Generated Forces)의 자율지능화 방안 연구)

  • Modeling and Simulation(M&S) technology gets an attention from various parts such as industry and military. Especially, military uses the technology to cope with a different situation from the one in the Cold War and maximize the effect of training against the cost in the new environment. In order for the training based on M&S technology to be effective, the situations of a battlefield and a combat must be more realistically simulated. For this, a technique development on Computer-Generated Forces(CGF) which represents a unit's simulation logic and a human's simulated behaviors is focused. The CGF simulating a human's behaviors can be used in representing an enemy force, experimenting behaviors in a future war, and developing a new combat idea. This paper describes a methodology to accomplish Computer-Generated Forces' autonomous intelligence. It explains the process of applying a task behavior list based on the METT+T element onto CGFs. On the other hand, in the domain knowledge of military field manual, fuzzy facts such as "fast" and "sufficient" whose real values should be decided by domain experts can be easily found. In order to efficiently implement military simulation logics involved with such subjectivity, using a fuzzy inference methodology can be effective. In this study, a fuzzy inference methodology is also applied.

A Study on the Method for Converting the Unit Database from Training-model into Analysis-model : Focused on the 'Chang-Jo21' and 'Vision21' model (훈련용 워게임 모델의 부대 DB를 분석용 워게임 모델에 재사용하기 위한 변환방법 연구 : 창조21모델과 비전21모델을 중심으로)

  • In the field of defense M&S, we are actively pursuing researches that interoperable multiple war game models to simulate various combat environments at the same time. Although the 'unit DB(Database)' for operating the war game models is originated from the identical data, it has been recognized that the method of expressing the attribute of the data is different and the cross reference is impossible. As a result, it makes unnecessary time and effort in establishing the same unit DB in the organizations that operate the war game model. In this study, a method of reusing the unit DB of the training war game model to the analysis war game model with similar resolution and simulated logic was applied to the actual field. For this purpose, we defined the procedure for converting the unit DB by analyzing metadata of the 'Chang-Jo21', a combat training model for corps and division, and the 'Vision21', an analysis model for corps and division operation plan. And we introduced an algorithm that can map different metadata of two unit DBs. This study was meaningful as the first attempt to map and integrate heterogeneous metadata semantically for the reuse of unit DB between different war game models in defense M&S field. Also, it provided implications for the necessity of paradigm shift that reuse of the unit DB between two different war game models is possible and the need for standardization of the unit DB metadata in the defense M&S filed.

  • This study suggests the ways of improving the training and licensing system of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which are drawing attention as a future growth industry, through interviews with domestic experts and examples from advanced countries. In order to improve the system, it was suggested to establish a clear concept about unmanned aerial vehicle pilot, to implement a system to obtain and maintain the UAV pilot license, to develop and supply standard textbooks for acquiring certification, and to prepare certification standards for flight simulators.

  • 본 논문은 안전해석 등에 사용되는 RETRAN-3D 등 최적해석 코드를 기반으로 하면서도 복잡한 하드웨어 없이 간편한 GUI (Graphic User Interface)를 이용하여 광범위한 발전소 과도상태를 해석하기 위한 다양한 기능을 통해 시뮬레이션 조작을 쉽게 할 수 있는 웨스팅하우스형 950MW급 최적 원전운전분석기 (Nuclear Plant Analyzer)를 다루고자 한다. WH형 950MW 원전 운전최적분석기는 기존의 단순한 Point Kinetics 모델이 아닌 정교한 3D 실시간 노심모델과 RETRAN 코드를 기반으로 하는 실시간 NSSS 열수력 모델 (ARTS)이 통합된 모델을 갖추고 있으며, 해당형식발전소 (WH 3 Loop PWR Plant : 고리 3,4호기, 영광1,2호기 원전)의 여러 가지 과도사고를 실시간으로 정상, 비정상, 비상운전 등으로 모의할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 모의결과 주요 과도 상태의 결과가 해석한 결과와 잘 일치하였으며, 해당형식 발전소 과도 분석이나 규제요원 훈련에 이용될 계획이다.

  • Recently, power system has a trend of sustaining increase of power demand and large-sized system. Also, consumers has required a high reliability for the power quality in deregulated power industry. For power system operator, the accurate decision for situations of power systems and the ability of the management for the faults are required. Therefore, in this paper we presents the development of simulator which can train the process of the recovery and the decision of contingency in the case of the occurrence of faults for generation, transmission, and distribution facilities.

  • 원자력발전소의 열출력 계산 결과에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변수는 주급수 유량이며, 측정방식상의 특성(Venturi Fouling)으로 인해 계산시 과다하게 반영될 소지가 있다 본 연구에서는 이 측정 오차를 최소화하기 위하여 뉴로-퍼지 논리를 이용하여 주급수 유량을 예측한 후 그 결과를 통해 열출력을 재평가하고자 하였다. 즉, 뉴로-퍼지로의 입력 변수(증기발생기 압력 및 수위. 터빈 충동실 압력)들은 모의훈련으로 출력을 상승시키면서 취득한 후 Wavelet Denoising 기법을 이용하여 노이즈를 제거시키고. 뉴로-퍼지 추론 계통의 파라메타들을 최적화시키기 위하여 유전적 알고리듬 및 최소자승법에 의한 Hybrid Learning Rule을 이용하여 학습시켰다. 시뮬레이션을 수행한 결과, 주급수 유량이 양호하게 예측되어, 이 결과를 토대로 열출력을 평가하는데 본 알고리듬의 적용이 성공적임을 입증하였다.

  • Cloase-range image information from drones and ground-based camera has been frequently used in the field of disaster mitigation with 3D modeling and mapping. In addition, the utilization of virtual reality(VR) is being increased by implementing realistic 3D models with the VR technology simulating disaster circumstances in large scale. In this paper, we created a VR training program by extracting realistic 3D models from close-range images from unmanned aircraft and digital camera on hand and observed several issues occurring during the implementation and the effectiveness in the case of a VR application in training for disaster mitigation. First of all, we built up a scenario of disaster and created 3D models after image processing with the close-range imagery. The 3D models were imported into Unity, a software for creation of augmented/virtual reality, as a background for android-based mobile phones and VR environment was created with C#-based script language. The generated virtual reality includes a scenario in which the trainer moves to a safe place along the evacuation route in the event of a disaster, and it was considered that the successful training can be obtained with virtual reality. In addition, the training through the virtual reality has advantages relative to actual evacuation training in terms of cost, space and time efficiencies.

  • 무선 통신 서비스에 대한 수요가 급격히 증가하면서 높은 데이터 전송율을 갖는 무선 통신에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. UWB는 (Ultra Wide Band) 이러한 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 통신 방법 중의 하나로 이 논문에서는 현재 IEEE 802.15.TG3a 표준화 위원회에서 제시하고 있는 채널 모델에 대해서 알아보고, 제시된 채널 모델에 LS (Least Square) 방법을 적용하여 채널의 임펄스 응답을 (Channel Impulse Response) 추정한다. 채널 추정의 성능 지표로 Preamble의 크기에 따른 MSE와 (Mean Square Error) 각각의 채널에 대한 비트 에러율을 사용하여 모의 실험을 본 논문에서 다루는 추정 기법의 성능을 분석한다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze cost-effectiveness of a train simulators. The cost-effectiveness of training program is assessed by multiplying transfer effectiveness ration(TER) by training cost ration(TCR). If their product is less than one, the program is not cost effective. Even if a program is not cost effective, however, safety considerations may be important to consider.
