A study of interface with affordance theory for museum education mobile application improvement (박물관 교육 모바일 애플리케이션 개선을 위한 어포던스 이론 적용 인터페이스 연구)

  • The object of this study is to improve obstacles related with physical affordance and cognitive affordance by adopting Norman's theory for affordance of mobile application of museum education. As to conduct the study, I have selected the mobile device application of G museum for the need of observation and interviewing, and have applied think aloud protocol to analyse matters of affordance. By this study, learners will be possible to conduct appropriate behavior instantly under the circumstance of unfamiliar museum mobile environment because of sophisticated design to make learners perceive and understand information provided with designed interface based on realistic improvement that will be made by inspecting possible problems of affordance in position of museum education mobile system users. Additionally learners will be able to control contents of museum and to experience interactive learning which motivate exploratory activity to accomplish meaningful learning.

Development of mobile, online/offline-linked math learning content to promote group creativity (집단창의성 발현을 위한 모바일, 온/오프라인 연계 수학 학습 콘텐츠 개발)

  • In this study, in order to support the expression of group creativity of high school students, we developed mathematics learning contents linked with mobile and online/offline that obtain the maximum and minimum values of the function within a limited range. This learning content was developed in connection with the 'environment', a cross-curricular learning topic. We explored the concept of group creativity in school mathematics. Its manifestation process, elements of group creativity expression process, and mobile and on/offline implementation functions were also explored. Then, we developed a hybrid app, 'Making the Best Box that Thinks of the Earth', which can express group creativity through mobile and online/offline-linked cooperative learning. A learning management system (LMS) and a teaching and learning guidance plan were also developed to efficiently operate mobile and online/offline-linked math learning using the app in schools. Our study found that the hybrid app, 'Creating the Best Box that Thinks of the Earth', was suitable for promoting collective fluency and collective sophistication based on complementary-metacognitive interaction.

  • In these days, recommendation service in mobile environments is in the limelight due to the spread of mobile devices and an increase of information owing to advancement of computer network. The restaurant recommendation system reflecting user preference was proposed. This system uses Bayesian network to model user preference and analytical hierarchical process to recommend restaurants, but static inference model for user preference used in the system has some limitations that cannot manage changing user preference and enormous user survey must be preceded. This paper proposes a learning method for Bayesian network based on user requests. The proposed method is implemented on mobile devices and desktop, and we show the possibility of the proposed method through experiments.

  • Recently many research reports on effective use of mobile devices for museums to provide information on displayed artifacts providing individualized learning space, collaborative learning, and discovery learning, Such devices have many possibilities to support learning as a participatory media and social network. Mobile devices are used, however, limited for its usability and lack in providing expected learning experiences. It offers one-way interaction and they are often limited in providing customized services for different patrons to experience learning and entertainment. In this research, we have adopted user centered design approach to identify the needs and possible usage of PDA system in the museum. Research methods include contextual observation and inquiry with symbolic interactionism for qualitative research and its epistemology. We have developed conceptual model with scenario and storyboard method, and developed vertical prototype with Flash.

  • This study was about design and development of the 'Mobile Learning Evaluation Announced System'(MLEAS), which could operate the e-learning and send the result of that to the parents. From this, teachers and parents can communicate with each other dynamically. Especially, this system does not simply present results of students 'learning but provide the extra learning which can make up for students' wrong questions in the base of the evaluation standard. This paper suggests this total learning solution so that parents can perceive the state of their children's learning under the mobile learning environment.

  • 원격교육과 e-러닝의 차세대 형태로 모바일 교육에 대한 관심이 급증하고 있다. 이러한 모바일 교육은 스마트폰을 중심으로 전개되고 있으며 사이버 대학교뿐만 아니라 일반 오프라인 대학에서도 적극적인 움직임을 보이고 있다. 본 논문에서는 u-캠퍼스 환경기반에서의 모바일 교육 서비스 시스템을 설계하였다. 모바일 교육 서비스 시스템은 u-캠퍼스 환경기반에서 교육 수요자들인 학생들에게 시공간의 제약 및 디바이스에 제약이 없는 학습 환경 시스템을 제공하고 모바일 캠퍼스 플랫폼 기반의 m-러닝 시스템을 설계한 것이다.

  • Black marker cause unnatural problems between the existing various contents and marker. To solve this problem, we tested frequency of 3D objects according to the various colors and color placement. Based on this, infant's learning content system based NyARToolkit for the mobile-based augmented reality was implemented. By insert to color marker, We are solved the unnatural problems in the Implemented system. and infant can study seamlessly because concentration increases by the familiar character on the markers.

  • 현재 휴대폰을 통한 무선 인터넷 사용자가 급격한 증가폭을 보이고 있다. 또한 WIPI 탑재 의무화에 따른 WIPI 플랫폼을 탑재한 휴대폰이 본격적으로 출시되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 제한된 공간을 벗어나 정보를 이용할 수 있는 모바일 기기를 활용하고, 영어 학습자들의 어휘력 증진에 도움이 되는 영단어 학습 시스템을 WIPI 기반의 플랫폼에서 설계하고 구현한 결과를 보인다.

  • u-learning은 학습자들의 개별화 욕구에 따라 다양한 학습이 가능하며 학습자의 수준 정보나 주변의 상황 정보를 결합하여 학습자에게 필요한 학습상황과 내용을 추정하고, 최적의 학습 환경 및 학습 콘텐츠를 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 e-learning과 m-learning의 특징을 추출하여 유비쿼터스 교육에 적합한 환경을 분석하여 u-learning을 효율적으로 지원하기 위한 에이전트를 식별 설계하고 학습자로 하여금 최상의 학습 콘텐츠를 제공 받을 수 있도록 퍼지 기반 지능형 에이전트 시스템을 설계 구현한다. 또한 학습의 효율성을 향상시키기 위한 개념으로 이들 모바일 지능 에이전트 시스템 통합하여 응용 예를 제시한다.
