This study aims to investigate information seeking behavior of mobile-based Web users, especially, college students. This study also evaluates mobile search services based on various criteria, and suggests how to improve portal's mobile search services. The results of this study show that the most urgent improvement is needed in the contents of mobile search services. Improvements are also required in the area of interface design followed by accessibility and mobile search functionalities. The results of this study can be applied to the portal's effective development of mobile search services.

본 논문에서는 모바일폰을 통한 시맨틱 검색 및 개인 기호정보를 사용한 검색 결과의 필터링이 가능한 시스템을 제안 하고자 한다. 시스템에서는 모바일 컨텐츠와 웹 컨텐츠의 검색 연동, 사용자 기호정보의 유 무선 장치의 공유 및 유 무선 장치간 검색 결과의 공유를 지원한다. 모바일폰의 컴퓨팅 능력을 고려해 모바일폰에는 사용자 인터페이스만을 유지 하도록 한다. 모바일폰을 통한 시맨틱 검색을 지원하기 위해 시스템은 실험적으로 뉴스 도메인에 국한된 카테고리에 대한 분류 체계 온톨로지를 구축하며, 각 카테고리간 관계를 설정 한다. 또한, 개인 기호정보를 통한 검색 결과의 필터링을 위해 사용자 기호정보를 XML 형태의 벡터 모델로 유지하며, 이는 서버의 데이터베이스에 각 사용자 계정으로 저장하고 공유한다. 모바일폰의 여러 단점을 극복하고 장점을 극대화 하기 위해 검색 결과를 서버에 저장하고 이를 유 무선 장치간 상호 공유 할 수 있도록 한다. 본 논문에서는 시스템의 아키텍처와 구성 및 주요 기능에 대해서 기술하고자 한다.

To effectively manage research information in the field of national defense, metadata about the information should be managed systematically, and an integrated system to help convergence and management of the information should be implemented based on the metadata. In addition, the system should provide the users with effective integrated search services in a mobile environment, because searching via the use of mobile devices is increasing. The objective of this paper is to suggest a MSISS (Mobile Semantic Integrated Search System), which satisfies the requirements for effective management of the national defense research information. Specifically, we defined national defense research ontologies and national defense research rules after analyzing the Dublin Core metadata and database information of the major military research institutions. We implemented a prototype system for MSISS to demonstrate the use of the ontologies and rules for semantic integrated searching of the military research information. We also presented a triple-based search service to support semantic integrated search in a mobile environment and suggested future mobile semantic integrated search services.

스마트폰을 비롯한 모바일 기기에 내장된 다양한 센서들로부터 수집되는 개인의 일상에 대한 정보인 모바일 라이프로그를 관리하고 검색하는 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 기존에는 에피소딕 메모리 형태로 저장된 모바일 라이프로그 상에서 사용자가 과거 정보를 찾고 회상하는 방법이 일반적으로 사용되었다. 이러한 방법에서는 사용자가 원하는 데이터를 찾기 위해서는 정확하고 충분한 데이터를 사전에 알고 있어야 한다. 하지만 사람은 처음부터 완전한 정보를 가지고 검색을 하는 것이 아니고 검색을 수행하면서 데이터간의 연관도를 바탕으로 추가적인 정보를 떠올리는 연관 검색을 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 연관도 기반 검색을 위해 인지구조를 바탕으로 모바일 라이프로그를 표현하는 시맨틱 네트워크를 자동으로 생성하는 방법을 제안한다. 정의된 구조를 바탕으로 네트워크를 구성하고 관계의 빈도수와 가중치 공유를 통하여 관계의 가중치를 학습한다. 구성된 시맨틱 네트워크상에서 활성화 확산을 기반으로 연관 검색을 수행함으로 방법의 유용성을 입증하였다.

모바일 단말기의 수요가 증가함에 따라 사용자들은 다양한 형태의 검색 시스템을 요구하고 있다. 모바일 환경에서는 키 입력 방식이 일반적인 개인용 컴퓨터와 상이하기 때문에 모바일 단말기의 특성에 적합한 검색 방식이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 PDA와 같은 모바일 단말기에서 사용자가 원하는 TV 프로그램을 검색 할 수 있는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 전체 시스템은 검색 서버와 모바일 클라이언트로 구성되며, 클라이언트는 모바일 환경에서 검색어 입력을 효율적으로 할 수 있게 데이터베이스에 기반한 검색어 입력 방법을 사용하였다. 시스템의 유용성을 확인하기 위한 실험에서 이 시스템은 검색어 입력 방식과 드라마 검색 결과를 모두 만족하는 성능을 보여주었다.

본 논문에서는 객체기반의 모바일 콘텐츠 검색 기술에 대한 평가 항목, 평가 기준, 평가 방법을 설정하여 관련 기술의 성능을 객관적으로 검증하는 방법에 대해 설명한다.. 객체기반의 모바일 콘텐츠 검색 기술은, 다양한 분야에서 활용이 가능한데, 대표적인 서비스 분야는 e-Learning 분야, 문화재 정보검색 분야, 모바일 AR 분야, 스마트 TV 분야, 모바일 쇼핑분야, 모바일 영상 감시분야 등 매우 다양하다. 본 논문에서 제시한 객체기반 모바일 콘텐츠 검색 기술 평가 지침은 국내 디지털 콘텐츠 업계에서 개발, 생산하고 있는 객체기반의 모바일 콘텐츠 검색 기술의 품질을 객관적으로 평가할 수 있는 체계를 제공함으로써, 사용자는 표준화된 객체기반의 모바일 콘텐츠 검색 기술의 인증서의 내용을 토대로 자신의 목적에 따라 선택하여 사용할 수 있도록 하고, 기술 개발자들에게는 보다 우수한 객체기반의 모바일 콘텐츠 검색 기술의 개발을, 평가자에게는 공정한 평가를 가능하게 할 수 있다.

The Object Directory Service(ODS) of the mobile RFID is the core technology of the object information service for the object information retrieval among objects with RFID tags. The ODS service returns an URL information of a specific object application service after recognizing the mRFID tag in real time. The general ODS service is suitable for the global mRFID environment, but it is not good in the local networks and private networks that information security is needed. This paper proposes a new ODS service algorithm for the improvement of the general ODS service algorithm.

This study aims to investigate the current status of mobile search functions of Korean search portals, namely Google Korea, Naver, Nate, Daum, and Yahoo Korea. This study focuses on unique mobile search functionalities, such as voice search, music search, code search, and visual/ object search. In particular, this study analyzed characteristics of these search functions and evaluated their performances based on the accuracy and the speed of recognition. The results of this study show that both Naver and Daum support various mobile searching functions, whereas Google only supports voice search. Nate and Yahoo do not offer any unique function. The results of this study can be applied to the portal's effective development of mobile search functionalities.

대용량 모바일 기기의 발전과 보급이 확산됨에 따라 사용자들은 사진, 음악, 동영상과 같은 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 대량으로 휴대하며 이용할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나, 이러한 대량의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 관리는 사용자 각자에게 맡겨져 있어 콘텐츠 관리를 어렵게 하고 있는 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 분산 모바일 환경에서 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 공유와 추전을 통해 사용자에게 적합한 콘텐츠를 추천을 통해 제공하고, 제공된 콘텐츠는 모바일 동기화 서비스를 통해 모바일 기기로 저장하고 관리되는 '분산 모바일 환경에서 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 추전 및 검색 서비스'를 설계하고 구현하였다. 제안된 시스템은 사용자의 선호 프로파일 정보로 협업 필터링을 통해 공유된 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 중에서 사용자에게 적합한 콘텐츠를 추천해 주고, 추천된 콘텐츠는 모바일 기기 사용자의 행동에 따라 모바일 동기화 서비스를 통해 모바일 기기에 저장과 관리, 검색이 된다. 본 논문에서 제안된 방법은 추천과 검색을 통해 사용자 모바일 기기의 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 효율적으로 관리 할 수 있다. 이처럼 본 논문에서 제안된 서비스 방법은 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 추천과 모바일 동기화 서비스로 능동적인 콘텐츠 관리를 제공하며, 사용자에게 효율적인 콘텐츠 검색 기법과 활용 방법을 제공 할 수 있다.

PC 또는 모바일 기기를 이용한 검색을 위해서는 키보드 또는 터치패드를 이용하여 키워드를 입력하는 고전적인 방식이 현재까지 널리 사용되고 있다. 음성, 이미지, 제스처 등을 이용한 새로운 검색 기술들이 등장하고 있지만, 관련 검색엔진의 문제로 검색 결과가 다소 미흡한 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 포털 검색의 키워드 입력 방식과는 달리, 검색하고자 하는 대상을 스마트폰과 같은 모바일 기기의 카메라로 촬영하면 해당 촬영 이미지가 사용자 입장에서는 검색 키워드와 같이 동일한 역할을 할 수 있도록 CNN기법을 사용하여 Image-to-Text 형태의 모바일 비주얼 검색 서비스에 대해 제안한다.
