Recently, the ubiquitous computing environment being able to connect all kinds of computing elements at anytime anywhere becomes widespread in human life. In this paper, we focus on a PC remote control system using cellular phones. Especially, we design and implement an mobile e-mail transmission system using PC remote control technique. By using our remote controller, cellular phone users can login into their own PC, and then send any file to others by e-mail attachment. To show the correct running of our system, real demonstration results are presented. We are sure that by opening our source code to the public our results can play an important role to encourage development of the various mobile remote control functionalities.

먼 미지의 얘기로만 들리던 림의 '블랙베리' 서비스, 해외 출장을 다녀왔거나 외신을 자주 접하는 사람들 입에서 입으로 전해지던 것이 블랙베리였다. 휴대폰과 비슷하게 생겼지만 휴대폰은 아니고, 메일 확인을 목적으로 GSM방식으로 만 제공된다고 여겨지던 것이 블랙베리였던 것. 그러나 최근 국내 시장에도 이 서비스가 상륙했다. KT파워텔이 도입을 했다. 차이나모바일도 노키아와 손잡고 자국 시장에 블랙베리 서비스를 받아들였다. 대만과 일본도 하반기 도입을 예정하고 있다.

Today, mobile technology is developing very fast and people use internet through mobile phones. Using mobile phones, people use games, email, avatar and other services. We designed client/server modules in order to join email and avatar together. First two major server modules were designed, one of them is DB management module for avatar user information and the other is email management module. One the client side, we designed avatar image animation module and a module for showing the email contents. The purpose of the design is to reduce the performance overhead on the client side as mobile phones cannot be used as a high performance device. We propose and implement a new avatar based service using the SK-VM environment, that is different from the current avatar services.

Forward secrecy in an e-mail system means that the compromising of the long-term secret keys of the mail users and mail servers does not affect the confidentiality of the previous e-mail messages. Previous forward-secure e-mail protocols used the certified public keys of the users and thus needed PKI(Public Key Infrastructure). In this paper, we propose a password-based authenticated e-mail protocol providing forward secrecy. The proposed protocol does not require certified public keys and is sufficiently efficient to be executed on resource-restricted mobile devices.

우편 서비스는 사람과 조직간을 이어주어 실물 배달과 의사 소통을 위한 중요 네트워크 중의 하나이다. 정보통신의 발달로 우편 서비스의 대표적인 형태인 서장이 전자메일로 대치되고 있으나, 전자상거래의 급속한 확장에 힘입어 소포 등과 같은 새로운 우편 서비스 영역의 중요성이 동반 확대되고 있는 실정이다. 2000년에 출범한 인터넷 기반의 우체국 서비스인 ePOST는 전통적인 우편서비스와 농수산물 중심의 쇼핑몰에서 전자고지납부 및 에스크로 서비스 등으로 확대되고 있다. 한편 우리나라의 휴대전화의 보급율은 2004년 현재 $75\%$에 이르고 있으며, 이제 ePOST도 휴대전화상에서 새로운 서비스를 제공하기 위한 준비가 필요하다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 대국민 서비스와 효과적인 비즈니스를 동시에 지원하기 위한 모바일 우편 서비스(mPOST) 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

In existing internet, e-mail protocols including POP3 and IMAP4, provide e-mail services fir exchanging messages with texts, hypertext and images as well. For the e-mail services in wireless mobile network, mobile e-mail service providers have to install a mobile exclusive e-mail server or have to convert e-mail to mobile exclusive e-mail with wireless application format in case of POP3 protocol. In the e-mail service of IMAP4 case known as web-mail, it is difficult to view e-mail directly from server without IMAP4 mobile client because e-mail is stored in mail server side with remote file server. In either case, it also has the problems of viewing the e-mail of hypertext and image information at mobile. This paper provides e-mail extraction engine with image and hypertext conversion facilities that can be applied in wireless mobile internet and it is optimized in mobile communication environments such as a small display, small size of memory with web-mail protocol based on IMAP4 as well as POP3 mail protocol.

As the performance of recent mobile systems increases, a vector graphic has been implemented to represent various types of dynamic menus, mails, and two-dimensional maps. This paper proposes a hardware accelerator for open vector graphics (OpenVG), which is widely used for two-dimensional vector graphics. We analyze the specifications of an OpenVG and divide the OpenVG into several functions suitable for hardware implementation. The proposed hardware accelerator is implemented on a field programmable gate array (FPGA) board using hardware description language (HDL) and is about four times faster than an Alex processor.

본 논문에서는 최근 주목을 받고 있는 클라우드 컴퓨팅 시스템 중 구글 앱스를 초등학교 현장에 어떻게 활용할 수 있는지 그 방안에 대해 모색해 보았다. 구글 앱스는 구글의 다양한 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스 중 SaaS(Software as a Service)에 해당하는 것으로써 캘린더, 메일, 문서도구, 사진, 사이트 도구, 유튜브, 지도 등의 서비스를 제공하는 것이다. 구글 앱스에서는 구글의 동일한 아이디 하나로 모든 서비스에 로그인이 가능하며 웹상에서 작업한 내용은 모두 웹에 저장되므로 언제 어디서나 네트워크에 연결된 디바이스만 있다면 활용이 가능하다. 그 뿐 아니라, 스마트폰, 태블릿 PC가 확산되고 있고 가격이 낮아짐에 따라 학생들도 활용하게 된 지금, 구글 앱스는 모바일 디바이스에도 서비스를 최적화시켰기에 학생들의 접근성이 더욱 높다. 앞으로 온라인 교육 등도 포함되면 적어도 국내에서는 교육계에 파급력이 상당하리라 생각하며 교육분야에 본격적으로 클라우드 컴퓨팅이 도입되기를 기대한다.
