The purpose of this study is to determine the progress of the implementation of the Servicebased Library 2.0 in Korean university libraries. We assess the Service-based Library 2.0 based on the web site analysis of 179 different Korean university libraries. Highlights of our survey include: (1) The most accessed features of the Service-based Library 2.0, were the 'Book Review', 'RSS', 'Tag & Tagging', 'Mobile App', 'Facet' and 'Open API'. (2) Among 179 libraries, of the 16 different services offered by the Service-based Library 2.0, 145 libraries opted for 4 or fewer services offered through the Service, 3 libraries opted for 5-9 services and 3 libraries availed themselves of 10 or more services. (3) More national university libraries than private libraries are implementing Service-based Library 2.0, including such services as 'Book Review', 'RSS', 'Mobile App', 'Facet', 'Blog', 'Twitter', 'Personnel service', 'SMS', 'Facebook'.

This study explored the concept of context-aware computing and its application to the library and information services. Context-aware computing represents mobile computing techniques which gather, analyze user's contextual information and provide appropriate information services for the specific user. The idea was proposed in the late 90's but it was not widely available to the public because of the technology limitation. Recent technology development made context-aware computing possible to apply to our everyday-life information seeking using smart phone and showed the usefulness of its application. This study introduced the concept of context-aware computing with some examples of it, and finally tried to propose some of its applications to the library and information services.

This study analyzed the level of 326 academic librarians awareness, usability and counter strategies on the Library 3.0. The results revealed the awareness level in the following order: that (1) Mobile Library (2) Semantic Search (3) AI(Artificial Intelligent) (4) Cloud Computing (5) Ontology (6) Linked Data. The order of the future usability for the Library 3.0 was ranked (1) Mobile Library (2) Linked Data (3) Semantic Search (4) Cloud Computing (5) AI and (6) Ontology. To conclude, the level of awareness and the usability of Library 3.0 were shown to be statistically significant. There are, however, some discrepancies in awareness differ across librarians and regions. Moreover, the level of awareness for the Library 3.0 did influence the library's organizational performance but the individual librarian's competences only.

This study was to predict through the trend analysis, one of the forecast technique, the future of library End Information center. In order to do that literature reviews, analysis of library's home page and specialist interview were conducted. As a result, It appeared that based on the trend analysis to predict the middle future(after 5-10 years) of library and information center. The results of this study are as follows. The first, the future information environment is represented by mobile and ubiquitous. Through this, anytime, anywhere, any device, we can be taken any media. The second, the problems of future library are technical, economic, social, ethical and legal problem. The third, unreliable factors come out in time lag, the supply speed of terminals, library services, copyrights and so on. The fourth, the future library is expanded through wireless terminal information access and use, development of mobile technique, universal ubiquitous environment and electronic information's use are extended.

본 논문은 모바일 멀티 에이전트프레임워크를 이용한 분산환경에서의 개인 디지털 도서관 서비스(PLS) 시스템을 제안하였다. 기존의 에이전트 프레임워크와 차별적으로 모바일 시스템과 분산 처리 시스템을 조합한 시스템을 사용하였으며 멀티 에이전트간 협상 알고리즘과 스케줄링 방법을 개발함으로써 프레임워크가 효율적으로 동작하도록 하였다.

This paper aims to examine how users view information services that use today's rapidly expanding smart phones and what their demands are. The research focus is specifically on public libraries where related studies or the provision of services is still lacking. For this study, users of public libraries were targeted for surveys and interviews. The results that Public library users showed positive views on using library information services and e-contents service on smart phones. But the users viewed smart phones as another point of access in accessing information services, not as something revolutionary to the existing library information services.

Recently, the expansion of smart phones, wi-fi. and unlimited service changed our life style from personal computer based to mobile device based. With this trend, a lot of companies and government facilities use QR code as an advertising material, and now the QR code is very popular service in our ordinary life. In the meantime, libraries in abroad and university libraries started using QR code in library service about 2 or 3 years ago, and domestic libraries started using it in service due to the increase of establishment of mobile Library websites. In this research, starting with looking into the literature, I analyzed the examples of the use of QR code in libraries. On the base of it, I drew a QR code library service model, and what needs to be considered for the use of it.

2012디지털북페스티벌이 지난 9월 20일부터 22일까지 3일간 국립디지털도서관에서 개최됐다. 국립중앙도서관과 한국전자출판협회가 공동으로 주최하고, 성도솔루윈, 예스24, 리디북스, 유페이퍼, 바로북, 맥플러스, 북잼 등 50여개 전자책 기업이 참여하는 '2012 디지털 북페스티벌' 행사는 300여대의 모바일 단말기로 3천여 종의 전자책으로 직접 보고 체험할 수 있는 '전자책 전시'와 직접 전자책을 출간할 수 있는 '전자책 셀프출판 체험 행사', 모바일 융합시대의 전자책 첨단 기술과 비즈니스 협력 모바을 구축하기 위한 세미나 및 컨퍼런스가 다채롭게 개최됐다.

The objective of this study is to investigate and compare the situation of the informationization of public libraries between 2012 and 2014. Data were collected two times in both 2012 and 2014 using Internet survey. Survey contents were general information situation, softwares, digital service room, RFID, digital contents, mobile service, integrated digital services. Results show that library informationization went for demonstration effect for local residents, staff for library informationization was insufficient, KOLAS was still needed to be upgraded, and most of public libraries were insufficient for future digital services. As improvement plans, there are the development of next generation integrated system, expansion of mobile web and app service, and increasing digital contents. For further study, it provides a study of the use of digital contents and equipment on public libraries.
