The Knowledge Definition Language and Knowledge Creation for Knowledge Base Construction (지식베이스 구축을 위한 지실정의 언어와 지식생성)

  • REA (Restricted Entity Aspect) model is a knowledge representation model to classify the aspect type, the EA model component, into five aspects (IS-A-aspect, A-PART-OF aspect, attribute aspect, role aspect, and operation aspect). EATPS, the knowledge representation system, consists of user interface module, knowledge creation module, instance management module, schema management module, and integrity checking module. EATPS creates and manages interactively REA model based knowledge base. This paper shows the structure and functions of EATPS, the design and interactive construction of the knowledge definition language EAKDL, the functions and algorithm of class creation module, and the functions and algorithm of instance creation module to include inheritance inference mechanism.

  • 본 논문은 중용량급 전원회로의 구성을 간략화 할 수 있는 절연형 AC-DC 컨버터의 구조와 그 제어 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 회로의 구조는 병렬 전력 처리를 기반으로 한다. 병렬 모듈의 기능을 각각 AC 입력 전류의 위상을 제어하는 역률개선(PFC) 기능과, 콘덴서에 저장된 에너지를 이용하여 DC 전압을 생성하는 DC-DC 컨버터의 기능으로 분리한다. 병렬 모듈의 최종 출력단을 서로 직렬 연결하여, PFC 모듈이 생성한 전압과 DC-DC 컨버터 모듈이 생성한 전압을 서로 더해서 출력하는 구조이다. 이러한 구조를 통해서 기존의 병렬형 AC-DC 컨버터에 대비하여 반도체 소자의 내압을 감소시킬 수 있고, 최종 DC 전압의 동작응답특성 향상이 가능하다. 회로의 동작모드 분석이 실시되었고, 제어기 구현 방법이 제시되었다. 제안된 구조는 PDP 전원회로에의 응용을 위해서 400W(출력전압-200V, 출력전류-2A)급 실험용 회로를 구현하여 동작검증을 실시하였다.

  • The aim of the present study is to develop a direct structural analysis system for more reliable and effective structural safety estimation of floating tripe ocean structures. In this system, the following three modules are included; i.e., a rigid body motion analysis module based on the three dimensional panel method, a structural analysis module, and a stochastic analysis module based on short and long term spectral analysis techniques. The structural analysis module consists of the general purpose finite element analysis program NASTRAN and the automatic load data generation program LOADGEN. As an illustrative example, the developed system is applied to structural design of a PILOT Barge Mounted Plant(BMP). Results of the structural analysis are compared with those obtained using a two dimensional strip method.

  • Modular wavelet neural network combining wavelet theory and modular concept based on single layer neural network have been proposed as an alternative to conventional wavelet neural network and kind of modular network. In this paper, an effective method to construct an optimal modular wavelet network is proposed using genetic algorithm. Genetic Algorithm is used to determine dilations and translations of wavelet basis functions of wavelet neural network in each module. We apply the proposed algorithm to approximation problem and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed system and algorithm.

Concept-based Detection of Functional Modules in Protein Interaction Networks (단백질 상호작용 네트워크에서의 개념 기반 기능 모듈 탐색 기법)

  • In the protein interaction network, there are many meaningful functional modules, each involving several protein interactions to perform discrete functions. Pathways and protein complexes are the examples of the functional modules. In this paper, we propose a new method for detecting the functional modules based on concept. A conceptual functional module, briefly concept module is introduced to match the modules taking them as its instances. It is defined by the corresponding rule composed of triples and operators between the triples. The triples represent conceptual relations reifying the protein interactions of a module, and the operators specify the structure of the module with the relations. Furthermore, users can define a composite concept module by the counterpart rule which, in turn, is defined in terms of the predefined rules. The concept module makes it possible to detect functional modules that are conceptually similar as well as structurally identical to users' queries. The rules are managed in the XML format so that they can be easily applied to other networks of different species. In this paper, we also provide a visualized environment for intuitionally describing complexly structured rules.

A Study on Hydraulic Modifications of Low-Pressure Membrane Inlet Structure with CFD and PIV Techniques (CFD와 PIV 기법을 이용한 저압막 유입부 수리구조 개선에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted to suggest hydraulic modification for improving evenness of inlet flow distribution into side stream type low-pressure MF (microfiltration) module using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) simulation and PIV (particle image velocimetry) techniques. From the results of CFD simulation for various typed inlet structure, it was investigated that installing internal orifice baffle in inlet the distribution channel could improve the evenness of inlet flow distribution over about 40%. Also, from the results of PIV measurements which were carried out for verifying the CFD simulation, it was observed that the momentum of the water body coming from the opposite side of the inlet was relatively larger. This momentum would generate strong shear force in the near of inlet side wall. On the other hands, occurrence of dead zone and eddy flow was confirmed in the opposite side.

  • 객체지향 데이터베이스 시스템의 표준 질의어로 사용되는 OQL은 SQL과 달리 select-from-where절 어디서나 중첩 질의를 자유롭게 허용하며, 이러한 중첩 질의는 질의어 수행 성능에 중요한 영향을 미치므로, OQL을 처리하는 질의 처리기에서는 이를 반드시 고려해 주어야 한다. 본 논문은 모노이드 컴프리핸션 해석(monoid comprehension calculus)을 이용하여, OQL 질의 처리기에서 중첩 질의의 중첩 구조를 제거할 수 있도록 해주고, 나아가 기존 질의 처리기에서 중첩질의 처리 기능을 추가하는데 있어, 이미 구현되어 있는 질의 최적화 모듈과 질의 수행 모듈의 수정을 최소화할 수 있는 중첩 질의 구조 제거용 전위 모듈(unnesting front-end)을 설계하고 구현하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 RSA 암호 알고리즘의 핵심 계산 과정인 모듈로 곱셈 연산의 효율적인 하드웨어 구현을 위해 새로운 알고리즘과 하드웨어 구조를 제시한다. 기존의 몽고메리 알고리즘이 LSB 우선 방법을 사용한 것과는 달리 여기서는 MSB 우선 방법을 사용하였으며, RSA 암호 시스템에서 키가 일정 기간 동안 변하지 않고 유지된다는 점에 착안해 계수(Modulus)에 대한 보수(Complements)를 미리 계산해 놓고 이를 이용하여 모듈로 감소 처리를 간단히 덧셈으로 치환하도록 하였다. 보수들을 저장할 몇 개의 레지스터와 그들 중 하나를 선택하기 위한 간단한 멀티플렉서(Multiplexer)만을 추가함으로써 몽고메리 알고리즘이 안고 있는 홀수 계수 조건과 사후 연산이라는 번거로움을 없앨 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 알고리즘은 하드웨어 복잡도가 몽고메리 알고리즘과 비슷하며 그 내부 계산 구조를 보여주는 DG(Dependence Graph)의 지역 연결성 (Local Connection), 모듈성(Modularity), 데이터의 규칙적 종속성 (Regular Data Dependency)등으로 인한 실시간 고속 처리를 위한 VLSI 구현에 적합하다.

  • We developed an integrated design system for a solid rocket motors. We can do a conceptual design of a solid rocket motor easily and quickly with this system. It consists of four modules, or, size design, structure design, grain design and performance analysis module. Size design module determines the lengths and diameters of some major parts, which results in fixing the whole size of a motor. Structure design module has many master models, which enables a designer can do a conceptual design of almost parts of motor structures. Grain design module can design a solid fuel according to the result of structure design. Finally performance analysis module verifies the proposed design with the output from grain design module.

A Study on Reformability and Application of Tensegrity Modules (텐서그러티 모듈의 변형 및 응용에 관한 연구)

  • Tensegrity is a relatively new structural system based on the use of continuous tension-discontinuous compression. Of course, a much more detailed structural investigation would be necessary, but at least in order to achieve the intended purpose, it is essential to understand the structural principles and the fundamental forces of tensegrity. Once this point is established, the applications of them to architecture are described, as well as the characteristics of these structures. Then, in spite of the controversial definitions to explain these systems, several examples of tensegrity prototypes or modules constructed in iESD(Institute of Environmental Structure Design) are presented to illustrate the feasibility of tensegrity as a lightweight structure. In this work, consequently, the reformability and application of tensegrity modules have also been researched in architecture, after the patterns of basic module as well as fundamental definition are introduced.
