  • This study is to analyze works of Memphis design in the 1980s, which captured the appearance of a diversified society since the 20th century, and to present practical designs that can communicate with the public through the formulation of indoor lighting. As a research method, the background of the occurrence of Memphis groups, the theoretical background and the formative features of Memphis designs are considered around literature and prior research. The research applied Memphis's formative characteristics, colors and patterns to incorporate newly formulated designs into lighting. Lighting lamps in the forms that have made small changes to basic shapes show not only its functionality and decorability, but also its scalability as a formative language that conveys the emotions contained within humans. In addition, the choice of materials according to the changes in sculpture in the production of the work will suggest the possibility of creating a new formative art.

  • The purpose of this study suggest the fashion of communication for 21th century fashion. Especially, Memphis fashion have the possibility of communicating through objects. The results of this study are as follows : First, Memphis idea is to make design into a sophisticated, conscious instrument of communication. As the Memphis fashion points out : design is an extraordinary tool for communicating because its intrinsic characteristic is the fact that it is used and distributed anyway, even without communicating anything. The Memphis fashion is trying to connect design and industry to the broader culture within which fashion moves. Second, Using different materials provides not only new structural Possibilities. but - above all - new semantic and metaphoric possibilities, order modes of communication, another language, and even a change of direction, broadening of perspective, appropriation and digestion of new values and the concomitant rejection of traditional structures that renewal always Involves. The memphis fashion works on the fabric of contemporaneity (lurex yarn, latex, chrome metal and steel) and contemporaneity means computers, electronics, a new awareness of the body. mass exercise and tourism. Third, color in Memphis has never been an ideological vehicle. As with decoration it is born tilth the design, forming an integral part of the structure. It alters the objects molecules. It works as a mass, as an intrinsic feature of a certain form and volume. The Memphis fashion was realized the introduction of ultramodern science into such experimental and creative implementation as optical motive, brilliancy of colour of electronic medium in audition to metallic fabric and high technical synthetic fiber.   • Modern society is indefinable and constantly changes like nature changes. It uses design to create new experiments and trend within social environment and culture. In the history of interior architecture and postmodernism, the Italian design movement of Archizoom, Studio Alchimia and Memphis are very important, and Andrea Branzi was the central figure of this design movement. His experimental and defiant works throughout this design movement produced design with combination, indefiniteness, sustentation, and reiteration. Designers must recreate themselves continually and need to have constant experimental spirit and attempts. From this point of view, the study on Andrea Branzi who led Italian design revolution with various experiments and attempts is valuable, and it will help to find the direction of design in this modern social and cultural environment.

  • Memphis originated from Radicalism in Italy came into being in 1981 as a experimental design group. Basically Memphis represented changed concept of design and the task of the designer by innovative design with unusual shapes and colors. What Memphis intended to demon-strate is the diversity of expression of design creativity and possibilities of new stimuli. As a result, Memphis has shown ways of redefining the field of design. In the 1990, the diversity of design movenment reflects the plualism of fragmented, specialized society. Design is faced with new task. It must do more than merely de-fine an object and its function. So from this point of view, this study interpretates ideas of Memphis design theory and attitude.

  • With the development of the digital age, the moving poster shows the possibility of development and update. In this study, by analyzing the characteristics and types of moving posters, we studied the elements of motion graphic movement of moving posters. Through this specific case, we analyzed the characteristics of moving posters expressed in Memphis style to explore their strengths and applicability. In the current situation where the popularity of moving posters is increasing, it is good to develop and utilize the study of Memphis moving posters.

  • Postmodernism, the theory and philosophy that swayed the world in the late 20th century, can be interpreted in various ways as a critical reaction against modernism as well as, in one way, the logical extension of modernism itself. Thus, an extensive understanding of the social and temporal background of the birth of postmodernism and a macroscopic and correlative approach toward the related artistic circles, especially art, were carried out before a formative discussion on the furniture design of postmodernism. Postmodemism in the field of furniture design shares the history of birth and spirit with Memphis, the progressive design group established by Ettore Sottsass in Milan, 1980. This study identifies the formative features of pestrnodernistic furniture design around those works that express the trend of postmodernism, in particular, chairs, as well as the designers who participated in the first Memphis exhibition at the Milan Furniture Fair. By identifying such features, the correlation between postmodemism and those features expressed in the works of postmodernism paintings were examined. The works of Anselm Kiefer, a German nee-expressionist who became famous through the Venice Biennale 1980, and five young Italian trans-avant garde authors were selected as the scope of this case study. The characteristics of postmodernism in modern art were analyzed in terms of themes, shape, and content and were derived as follows; Firstly, borrowed and past-oriented themes, secondly, deconstructive, atypical, plural, emotional, and intuitional shapes, and thirdly, basic, metaphorical, and abstract content, The formative characteristics of chair design in postmodemism furniture design are as follows; Firstly, deconstructive, symbolic, and abstract shapes, past-oriented, reactionary, and primitive colors and closing, as well as the characteristic of delivering commercial and metaphorical messages. The subjects and motives of art have been succeeded by the characteristics of color and closing in furniture, the shape and techniques of fine arts by the characteristics of furniture shape, and the content of art by that of furniture. They share key words and characteristics.

  • This paper is to research on the characteristics of the recipient furniture design that requires changes reflected in the contemporary socio-cultural factors in the convergence culture, as represented by the digital and IT. The purpose of this study is, as specific methods therefore, to research in both perspectives the design of the after industrial revolution of functionalism and the case of the Memphis group which is expressed the appearance of diverse social atmosphere of the 20th century. Based on this, it will illuminate the appearance of the furniture designs recipient requires changes in universal modern society of values of complex convergence. To reveal that sociocultural factors that accept values of society are important in predicting the future of furniture design is the object of this study. It recognizes that a key element of modern furniture design will be based on a broad and deep study.

An Importance Analysis of Coworking Space Organization and Operating Components (코워킹 스페이스의 구성과 운영요소에 대한 중요도 분석)

  • The shared-office business started with the lending of office spaces such as meeting rooms. From this came the coworking space, which maximizes the collaboration among the residents and promotes synergy among them. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of the coworking space. In addition, this study derived the factors that are considered important among the hardware- and software-level operating components, and presented the priorities according to the importance through a questionnaire survey and analysis for the employees currently utilizing a coworking space. For the results of the analysis, the top elements in the survey were found to be "spatial composition," "membership management," coworking management," and "architectural elements." In addition, when the general items were analyzed according to their characteristics, it was found that there was a difference in priority level among the elements of each characteristic. These results are expected to be useful when designing coworking spaces in the future. The results of this study can be used as the basic data for solving the problems of small companies and the environment, among others. Furthermore, the results of this study can be utilized as the basic data for the development of a collective shared community through linking at the local or national level, rather than being limited to a single space.
