인터넷의 급속한 팽창으로 인해 가을 정보의 양이 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 웹 사용자에게 이용 가치가 없는 정보 범람(information overflow)안이 발생한다면 효율적인 정보검색이 되지 못하므로 사용자가 원하는 정보만을 얻을 수 있다면 시간과 미숙한 정보의 검색을 방지 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국어 질의 생성과 관련하여 웹 사용자의 편의성과 효율성을 고려한 한국어 질의 처리 방법론과 개인형 메타 검색 모델을 제안하고자 한다. 한국어 질의를 기본으로 하여 한국어 문장 패턴 및 개인 정보 평가 구성 요소를 이용한 방법론과 모델을 제안하고자 한다.

최근 바이오인포매틱스 분야에서는 유전자 주석정보 데이터들의 통합 방안에 대한 논의가 활발하게 진행 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 BioDAS의 웹 서비스 개념을 이용, 분산된 주석 데이터서버들간의 통합검색 시스템을 구축함으로써 메타검색 시스템을 구현하였다. 본 시스템은 사용자에게 메타검색 기능 및 결과 저장기능을 제공해 주며 외부 사용자에게 웹 서비스를 제공한다.

본 논문에서는 XML을 이용하여 멀티미디어 데이터를 구조적으로 표현하고 효율적으로 추출하기 위한 XML 기반 멀티미디어 주석 및 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 멀티미디어 정보를 표현하기 위해 계층적 메타데이터 모델을 기반으로 하여 구현되였으며, 멀티미디어 데이터에 대한 주석, 검색, 브라우징 인터페이스를 제공한다. 멀티미디어에 대한 메타데이터는 MPEG-7에 정의되어 있는 서술 스키마를 기반으로 XML 스키마를 이용하여 작성하였다. 또한, 멀티미디어 데이터의 효율적인 인덱싱과 추출을 위하여 자막과 주석을 바탕으로 한 카테고라이징 기법을 사용하였다. 본 시스템의 목적은 멀티미디어 데이터에 대해 주석을 처리하고, 다양한 방법으로 검색과 그 결과를 브라우징하는 데 있다.

하이퍼 텍스트 구조의 특성을 이용한 순위 평가 알고리즘 중의 하나인 HITS 알고리즘은 웹 페이지들의 상호간에 연결된 링크 정보로부터 웹 문서들의 중요도를 평가하여 순위에 따른 결과를 제시한다. 그러나 초기의 HITS 알고리즘은 문서 내의 링크 빈도 수만을 고려하고, 입력 값으로 주어지는 웹 문서 집합의 특성에 의존적인 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 여러 웹 검색 엔진들로부터 얻어진 문서 집합에 수정된 HITS 알고리즘을 수행하는 메타 검색 에이전트를 설계하여 보다 나은 검색 성능을 구하고, 결과의 지역성을 보완한다.

in this paper, we imlemented design pattern retrieval system for efficient managemant and reusability of design patterns. Pattern is conssisted of property information and meta information id used for similarity measurement on classification and retrieval of patterns.Meta information od used for UML modeling of patterns. We classified design patterns with the empirical scope in addition to Gamma's basic classification. also we used E-SARM for retrieval represented UML diagram with pattern meta information, and simulated the environment so as to obtain best result on applying to retrieval of design pattern. This system is able ro resister new patterns through pattern viewer and manages these patterns with property informaiton and meta information. Thus this system supports efficient management of patterns, UML modeling, priority pattern retrieval, higher reusability and reduces pattern selection cost.

콘텐츠 관리 시스템(CMS:Contents Management System)은 '자료 수집, 등록, 검색, 배포' 의 기본 흐름을 가진다. 콘텐츠의 등록 및 검색/배포를 위하여 각 시스템은 콘텐츠에 대한 별도의 메타파일들을 가지고 있으나, 이러한 메타파일들은 데이터 요소의 중의성이나 모호함 때문에 일관되고 객관화 된 스키마를 가지지 못하여 체계적 분류 및 최신 업데이트를 위한 메타데이터 자체의 효율적 관리 기능을 가지고 있지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 기존 연구되고 있는 MDR을 자체 개발 중인 콘텐츠 메타파일 관리 시스템(CMMS:Contents Metafile Management System)에 적용하여 메타파일의 체계적이고 효율적인 관리를 통해 기준요소로서의 메타파일 역할을 극대화하고 향후 타 체계와의 연동 및 확장성의 향상을 도모한다.

This study aims to perform an evaluation of multimedia search services provided by major Korean search portals: Naver, Nate, Daum, Yahoo-Korea, Paran, and Google-Korea. These multimedia search services are evaluated in terms of the metadata of search results, search functionalities, searching methods, other functionalities, and display options. Every search portal offers image and video searching, whereas only Naver, Nate, and Daum offer music searching. Advanced searching methods and functions are mostly developed and supported in image and video searching rath than music searching. Naver, Nate, and Daum support various searching functions which search portals abroad have not developed. Google-Korea supports advanced searching functions. Search portals provide a limited number of metadata in search results. This study could contribute to the development and improvement of portal's multimedia search services.

이 논문에서는 메타데이터 레지스트리(ISO/IEC 11179: Metadata Registry)들이 가지고 있는 메타데이터 정보를 검색하고, 공유하기 위해 일관성 있는 질의 언어를 제안한다 메타데이터 레지스트리는 국제 표준으로서 메타데이터들을 정의하고 이들을 관리 및 공유를 하기 위해 만들어졌다. 이와 같은 국제 표준을 기반으로 한 메타데이터 레지스트리들이 서지, 환경, 의료 분야 등의 다양한 영역에서 사용되고 있다. 이와 함께 메타데이터 레지스트리를 기반으로 하여 기존에 저장된 메타데이터들을 검색하고, 공유하고, 관리하고자 하는 이슈에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만 현재까지 다양한 분야에 있는 메타데이터 레지스트리가 가지고 있는 정보를 가져오기 위한 표준 인터페이스가 제공되고 있지 않다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 연구로 SQL에 메타데이터 레지스트리를 위한 공통 연산자들을 추가하여 메타데이터 레지스트리에 존재하는 데이터들을 활용하는 연구가 있다. 하지만 이런 연산자들을 이용하기 위해서는 상용 DBMS 엔진에 추가되어야 하며, 연산자들이 없는 경우 일관된 질의어를 수행할 수 없다는 문제를 가지고 있다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위해서 국제 표준인 SQL(ISO/IEC 9075) 에서 정의하고 있는 사용자 정의 타입(User-defined types) 을 기반으로 한 일관성 질의 언어를 제안한다.

TV-Anytime은 국제 표준으로 자리잡아가고 있는 차세대 디지털 방송용 메타데이터로서 사용자가 직접 원하는 방송을 검색하고 선택하여, 선택한 멀티미디어 데이터를 저장하였다가 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 사용할 수 있도록 하는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. TV-Anytime은 XML 스키마로 정의되어 있으며, 방송이라는 특성상 그 크기에 있어서 대용량이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 TV-Anytime은 XML 스키마로 정의되어 있으며, 방송이라는 특성상 그 크기에 있어서 대용량이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 TV-Anytime의 특성에 맞는 메타데이타 관리 시스템을 제안한다. 대용량의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 데이터베이스를 사용하며, TV-Anytime 스키마를 분석하여 그에 적합한 스키마를 설계한다. XML 형식의 TV-Anytime 메타데이타에 대한 질의를 위하여 XQuery를 사용한다. 이는 데이터베이스의 저장형식에 무관하게 질의하는 것을 가능하게 만들어 주며, 디지털방송 환경에서 시스템간의 상호 운용성이 확보될 수 있다. 또한, XQuery는 정보검색 기능을 가지고 있어서 향후 컨텐트 기반 정보검색을 포함하는 등 보다 풍부한 의미를 갖는 질의를 사용할 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to design the meta search system and the curriculum-oriented directory system for youth in science and to prove the efficiency of the systems through evaluating the usability. To attain the purpose of this study, both of the quality and quantity research method were used and questionnaire, interview. observation, thinking aloud method were used to collect a data for research. The result of this study is that the meta search system supplying convenient information use environment about the distributed information sources has higher usability than the individual search system. And the curriculum-oriented directory system supplying accessibility related with the class has higher usability than the subject-oriented directory system.
