  • 기후변화는 전 지구적인 환경문제 중 하나이며 IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) 4차 평가보고서에서는 인류가 직면한 최대 위협이라고 하였다. 또한, IPCC는 현재 기후변화에 의한 영향은 명백히 나타나고 있으며 향후 기후변화에 의한 기상이변 예측과 적응 정책 및 조치가 중요하다고 권고하였다. 적응 정책 및 조치를 위한 기후변화의 영향분석은 우리나라에서도 많이 진행하고 있으나 개별 및 분류의 선형의 순차적 관계에 따라 개발 및 적용되고 있다. 기후변화는 자연생태계와 인간 활동의 복잡한 상호작용에 의해 발생하기에 개별적 연구 보다는 타 부문의 영향 및 결과가 환류되고 반영되어야 한다. 따라서 기후변화 영향평가는 농업, 물, 산림, 생태, 건강 등 다양한 부문 내/간 상호작용을 고려할 수 있는 통합 평가 방법이 필요하다. 통합 평가를 위해 플랫폼 개발은 필수적이며, 신속한 분석을 위해서는 개별 부문의 상세모델을 모방한 메타모델이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 미래 기후변화에 따른 영향을 통합적으로 평가하기 위한 메타모델을 개발하고, 상호 연결을 통해 다양한 연계양상을 평가하고자 한다.

  • Functions of metadata, semantic and syntatic schemas, metadata service such as registries, repositories, the optimal metadata retrieval, and several considerations of implementation of digital libraries were the research scopes of this investigation. R&D outcomes of metadata subjects in the domestic community for the past 10 years were searched and analyzed. It illustrated the major results, distinctive trends as well as some insufficient aspects to satisfy the researchers and operators of metadata system development.

  • The perspective on this study assumes that the mathematical modeling activity provides students with the environment which promotes metacognitive thinking. The purposes of this paper are to investigate metacognitive thinking on the mathematical modeling with the result of case study. The study revealed that development of students' model was accompanied with the control and monitoring of modeling activities. Also students refined the model by self-assessment and peer-assessment in small group modeling activities and developed generalizable model.

Impact of Student Assessment Activities on Reflective Thinking in High School Argument-Based Inquiry (고등학교 논의기반 탐구 과학수업에서 학생 평가활동이 반성적 사고에 미치는 영향)

  • This study focused on the use of student assessment activities to investigate the impact on reflective thinking in Argument-based Inquiry. The participants of the study were 166 10th grade students (six classes). Over one semester, students participated in five ABI programs that we developed. The experimental group (84 students) was taught Argument-Based Inquiry with students' self and peer assessment activities. The comparative group (82 students) was taught without the activities. We analyzed students' reflective writing to investigate how the student assessment activities influenced the students' reflective thinking. We also used the interviews and surveys to examine the validity of student assessment activities. According to analysis of the reflective writing, the experimental group had a significantly higher mean score than the comparative group in the 3rd and 5th writing. The ratio of students who showed a metacognitive level of reflection with regard to analysis of inquiry process, understanding of learning, and change of thinking increased in both groups, but the experimental group's ratio was higher than the comparative group's. The result of analysis of the reflective practice showed that the ratio of the experimental group's students who reached the metacognitive level of reflection in their writing increased, while the comparative group's decreased. Therefore, we conclude that student assessment activities can create a learning environment that facilitates student participation, increases the students' engagement in the learning process, and can be used as a tool to scaffold learning.

A Study on the Characteristics of Meta Search Engines (메타검색엔진의 특징에 관한 연구)

  • Meta search engines have been used as the first engine because they let users several search engines at once for their queries and give them the search results. The purpose of this study is to examine the features and functions of 17 meta search engines in order that it helps users select and execute effective searches on meta search engines. Each selected engine is analyzed based on the criteria evaluating both meta search engines and general search engines. The results show that each meta search engine has its own characteristics while there are common features among them. It is expected that the results of this study will help users utilize meta search engines and provide meta search engine designer basic ideas.

  • The purpose of the study is to evaluate Korean Records Management Metadata Standard with special emphasis on the contextual elements in their implementation aspect, and to provide the direction of the Standard revision for improving the metadata quality of RMS developed by National Archives of Korea. The present paper begins with comparing RMS data and the Standard elements, and examines the problems of current accumulation practices of contextual metadata elements in the RMS. Finally it makes some suggestions concerning the Standard revision as well as RMS function upgrade.

Differences in Metacognitive Awareness of Reading Strategy Use in English Test-typed Text Reading between Gifted English Language Learners and General Middle School Learners (영어 평가 지문 읽기에서 영어 영재 학생과 일반 중학생의 메타인지 읽기전략 사용 차이에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the differences of the metacognitive awareness of reading strategies which gifted English language learners (GELLs) and general middle school learners (GMSLs) used while reading English test-typed texts. 74 GELLs in a gifted program of C city and 90 GMSLs in the southern part of C city participated in this study. The MARSI questionnaire was administered to the GELLs and GMSLs at the end of the semester. Frequency and t-test were used to examine the differences in metacognitive awareness of reading strategy use between GELLs and GSMLs when reading the English test-typed texts. Based on the analysis, the study discovered that GELLs were likely to use metacognitive awareness of reading strategies more frequently than GMSLs. Also, GELLs tended to use more global and problem-solving strategies than GMSLs. However, there is no significant difference in support strategy use between the two groups. In conclusion, the study suggests pedagogical implications for GELLs and GMSLs' effective English reading.

Evidence-based Medicine and Systematic Review (근거중심의학과 체계적 고찰)

  • 체계적 고찰은 명확히 정의된 문헌검색에 기반하고, 결정된 기준(criteria)을 이용하여 선택된 문헌의 질을 평가하며, 타당성이 입증된 방법으로 분석을 시행하는 리뷰의 한 형태이다. 체계적 고찰은 (1)답을 얻고자 하는 질문을 공식화 하고 이에 대한 프로토콜을 작성하고, (2)해당 질문에 대한 일차 연구를 찾아서 포함시키고 (3)자료의 질을 평가하고, (4)자료를 추출하여 뽑고, (5)자료를 분석하며, (6)결과를 해석하고 보고서를 작성하는 순서로 이루어진다 하지만 체계적 고찰 혹은 메타분석이 모든 문제에 대한 해결책은 아니다. 메타분석이 수행되었다고 하더라도 질이 나쁜 연구가 포함되거나 질 문제를 무시한 경우, 이질성에 대해 적절한 주의를 기울이지 못할 때, 무차별적인 자료 병합으로 결론이 정확하지 않은 경우, 출판 비뚤림, 시간 지체 비뚤림, 이중 출판 비뚤림, 언어 비뚤림, 결과 보고 비뚤림과 같은 보고 비뚤림이 문제가 되는 경우에는 메타분석 혹은 체계적 고찰이 잘못된 결론으로 도달하도록 할 수 있다. 따라서 올바른 방법론에 기초한 체계적 고찰만이 현존하는 모든 근거를 결합하여 올바른 결론으로 이끌 수 있다.

  • 최근 연구개발 투자의 증가와 더불어 특허정보에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 일반 기업체뿐만 아니라 대학을 비롯한 다른 기관 및 단체에서도 특허정보의 출원에서부터 등록 및 사후관리에 이르기까지 특허정보의 생산, 수집 및 이용을 위한 특허정보의 통합관리가 필요하게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 특허정보 분석을 기초로 하여 더블린 코어 메타데이터와 RFC 1807 메타데이터를 참고하여 특허정보관리시스템을 위한 메타데이터를 설계하였으며, 설계된 메타데이터의 효율성을 평가해보기 위해 특허정보관리시스템을 구현하여 이를 적용해 보았다.

Methodological Quality Evaluation of a Meta-Analysis Study of Rehabilitation Treatment Interventions for Stroke Patients in Korea Applying AMSTAR-2: Focusing on Upper Extremity Function and Recovery of Daily Life (AMSTAR-2를 적용한 국내 뇌졸중 환자의 재활치료 중재 메타분석 연구의 방법론적 질 평가: 상지기능과 일상생활회복을 중심으로)

  • This study was analyzed by applying AMSTAR-2, a methodological quality evaluation tool, to evaluate the quality of domestic meta-analysis papers on rehabilitation interventions for stroke patients. The purpose of this study is to provide guidelines for qualitative improvement of evidence-based practice and meta-analysis research by analyzing the qualitative level of the analyzed research. The literature search was conducted using the Research Information Sharing Service, Korean Medical database, and Korean studies Information Service System. Two authors searched, extracted, and reviewed literature using the keywords 'stroke' and 'meta-analysis'. As a result of the AMSTAR-2 quality evaluation of the final 18 studies, 3 studies (16.67%) were 'Moderate', 8 studies (44.44%) were 'Low', and 7 studies (38.89%) were 'Critically Low'. In future research, scientific and objective data selection and extraction process should be performed. It is expected that interest and efforts to improve the quality of meta-analysis research will continue by referring to the contents analyzed in this study as a way to improve the quality of literature.
