This study intends to design a metadata service system of the science information for youth on the web based on the efficiency of the metadata system. Metadata scheme of the science information for youth on the web has been developed and designed metadata collection on the basis of the previously designed classification system. Metadata scheme of the science information for youth, which is consisted of six essential elements and four additional elements, has been brought out, compared to not only Dublin Core Metadata Element Set, but also the main studies related to domestic and foreign metadata projects. Based on the results of it, metadata database of the science information has been designed and it is expected to be applicable to metadata service system of the science information for youth on the web.

In the current information environment around the library community, metadata is recognized as a sophisticated and powerful tool that can manage and represent information resources. However, with the discreet use of the concepts of metadata and metadata standard, there is no clear boundary that differentiates metadata standard from simple resource description and traditional bibliographic structure, leading to confusion as to what a metadata and metadata standard is. To consider these issues, this research discussed what metadata and metadata standards are based previous definitions of metadata. Based on those definitions, the fundamental concept of metadata is reestablished to be properly used in the library community.

XML은 여러 분야에서 다양한 타입의 데이터를 효과적으로 관리하기 위한 표준으로 사용되고 있다. 이러한 XML의 한 응용으로서 데이터베이스 시스템, 파일 시스템, OLTP시스템, OLAP시스템, 데이터웨어하우징을 위한 ETL 시스템, 데이터마이닝 시스템 등을 포함하는 다양한 타입의 데이터 처리 시스템 사이에서 메타데이터를 교환하기 위하여 XML을 이용하여 메타데이터를 표준화하는 것이다. 본 연구는 MDC(MetaData Coalition)에 제안한 일반적인 데이터 처리 시스템을 위한 메타데이터 교환 스펙인 MDIS(Metadata Interchange Specification)를 따르도록 설계한 관계형 데이터베이스 시스템의 메타데이터 교환을 위한 사양으로서 R-MDIS(MetaData Interchange Specification for RDBs) 모델을 제안하고 이에 따라 표현된 자료를 상호 데이터베이스 시스템 사이에서 교환할 수 있는 Export 함수와 Import 함수를 포함하는 번역기를 개발한다. 이 번역기는 메타데이터의 일관성을 유지하면서도 메타데이터의 양방향 흐름을 지원할 수 있도록 하는 정보를 포함하고 있다. 본 연구는 구체적인 관계형 데이터베이스 시스템에서의 메타데이터 교환을 위한 실제적인 번역기를 구현함으로써 다양한 종류의 데이터 처리 시스템들 사이에서 메타데이터 불일치 문제를 해결할 수 있는 근거를 제시하였다. 둘째, XML을 이용하여 메타데이터 교환 사양을 설정함으로서 구도화된 데이터나 구조화되지 않은 데이터 모두에 대하여 일관된 방법으로 데이터 교환이 가능하도록 하여 효율적인 정보 교환을 할 수 있다는 것을 보여 주었다. 셋째, 본 연구에서 개발한 번역기는 메타데이터 교환에 의해 데이터들을 공유하게 함으로서 효율적으로 관리하지 못하던 데이터들을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있게 함으로서 데이터 관리 문제에 해결책이 될 것이다.

Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, metaverse has begun to receive attention as a means of providing future services. The importance of metaverse was further emphasized and metaverse platforms are being used by various institutions. Against this background, cases of using the metaverse platform in libraries are increasing. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate domestic and foreign library cases using the metaverse platform and analyze each platform's characteristics and content types according to the metaverse platform's method. Based on the findings, the implication of the current study suggests the future direction of using the metaverse platform in the library.

이 논문에서는 상이한 형식의 멀티미디어 메타데이터를 통합하기 위해서 통합 메타데이터를 정의하기 위해서 기존의 표준 멀티미디어 정보에 대한 다루고 있는 MPEG-7 MDS(Multimedia Description Scheme)와 TV-Anytime을 비교 분석하였다. 이렇게 정의한 메타데이터는 분산된 이종의 멀티미디어 자원을 의미적으로 통합하는 데에 사용될 수 있다. 아울러 이 메타데이터를 기반으로 향후 온톨로지를 정의하고 이를 기반으로 한 추론을 가능하게 해 상황인지 기반 멀티미디어 서비스를 지원하는 데에도 활용될 수 있다.

현재, 다수의 조직에서 개별적으로 메타데이터 표준을 제시하고 구축하고 있다. 이로 인해 메타데이터 상호간 호환성의 문제가 발생하게 되고 각기 분산되어 구축된 메타데이터 이용 또한 원활하지 않게 되고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본고에서는 메타데이터 레지스트리를 적용하여 국내 문헌정보 DB의 메타데이터 표준 유지와 통합 검색을 통한 연계 활용 모형을 구축하고자 한다.

지금까지 메타-몰에서의 지불처리 보안 방안을 살펴보았다. 사실상의 표준인 SET이 1인의 상인만을 대상으로 하고 있으므로, 여러 하부 몰을 거느리고 원-스톱 지불을 지원하는 메타-몰에는 그대로 적용할 수 없었다. 따라서, 메타-몰에서는 지불대표자의 개념을 도입하여 Meta-Malls Coordinator가 SET에서의 상인 역할을 하면서 Mall Operator들에 대해 주문정보를 전달하도록 하였다. 고객, Meta-Malls Coordinator, 금융기관 간에는 SET 규정을 따름으로써, 메시지의 기밀성, 인증, 무결성, 연결성을 확보하였다. 그리고, Meta-Malls Coordinator와 Mall Operator 간의 주문정보에 대한 인증과 무결성을 위하여 주문정보에 전자서명을 하도록 하였으며, 전자서명의 Refreshness를 위하여 Challenge를 주고 받을 수 있도록 주문확인과 주문통지의 두 번의 메시지 전달단계를 정의하였다. 동시에, 주문확인 메시지는 재고확인 등의 판매 가능성 여부를 확인하는 절차를 겸하도록 하였다. 본 방법론은 SET을 메타-몰에 적용하는 방안으로서 구현 되었으나, SET이외의 지불방법론에 대해서도 동일하게 적용될 수 있다. 현재 (주)메타랜드(http://www.metaland.com)가 실제 고객들을 대상으로 이러한 지불정보 보안체계를 갖는 메타-몰 구조의 전자쇼핑몰을 운영 중에 있다.

Functions of metadata, semantic and syntatic schemas, metadata service such as registries, repositories, the optimal metadata retrieval, and several considerations of implementation of digital libraries were the research scopes of this investigation. R&D outcomes of metadata subjects in the domestic community for the past 10 years were searched and analyzed. It illustrated the major results, distinctive trends as well as some insufficient aspects to satisfy the researchers and operators of metadata system development.

본 논문의 목적은 효과적인 식품정보 분류 체계 구축 및 관리를 위하여 식품정보의 메타데이터를 구축하고자 하는 것이다. 메타데이터는 데이터에 대한 데이터를 의미하며, 데이터의 분류체계, 구조, 내용요약을 함축적 의미로 표현하는 데이터이다. 이러한 메타데이터를 이용하여 식품정보를 체계적으로 분류하여 식품정보 조회, 분석, 활용을 위한 체계를 구축하였고, 식품정보에 대한 접근성을 향상시켰다. 따라서 본 논문을 통하여 식품정책, 식품산업, 식품기술 개발에 효과적인 정보를 제공하여 식품정보의 활용성 증대 및 효과적인 분류를 가능케 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to extract metadata based on Dublin Core from national construction information DBs, to design XML schema from the extracted metadata and to apply the previous works to integrated information retrieval system. To extract metadata, co-work was performed with librarians in the field of construction information, and. as a result, twelve metadata elements from Dublin Core and one administrative metadata could be extracted. Based on the investigation and analysis of those thirteen metadata elements, XML schema design process was described in detail. finally, the service environments of integrated information retrieval system to which XML schema was applied was introduced. Further study was also provided.
