The Structural Relationships among Restaurant's Environments, Value, Quality, Overall Satisfaction, and Customer Voluntary Performance (레스토랑의 환경특성, 가치, 품질, 전반적 만족, 그리고 고객의 자발적 행위와의 구조적 관계)

  • This study investigates the relationship between restaurants' environments and customer voluntary performance, and examines how restaurant value, quality and overall satisfaction play a mediating role between restaurants' environments and customer voluntary performance. In addition, this study investigates the structural relationships among restaurant's value, quality and overall satisfaction. For these purposes authors developed a structural model, which consists of several variables. The data were collected from 723 respondents and was analyzed with SPSS!PC+ 12.0 and LISREL 8.5. The findings are as follows. First, the menu characteristics have a significant positive influence on the value and quality of restaurants. Second, the employee service characteristics have a significant positive influence on the quality through mediating role of value variables. Third, the facilities/atmospheres have a significant positive effect on the value and quality of restaurants. Fourth, in-restaurant promotions have a significant positive effect on the value and quality of restaurants. Fifth, the customer value has a significant effect on the restaurant quality and overall satisfaction, and the restaurant quality has a significant effect on the overall satisfaction. Finally, the overall satisfaction has a significant effect on the customer loyalty, participation, and cooperation.

  • Domestic credit card companies and wireless operators want to deliver promotional information as well as the information for users on the site. A careful UX design is needed because promotional information can degrade the satisfaction of the users. In addition, too extensive information is provided on one site and users are confused about where to look for the information they need. Based on advanced research, study was conducted of the domestic web sites of wireless operators and credit card companies and we discussed that study with 12 users. Promotional information can be efficient with understated image. Users can find information easily from the site with fewer hierarchy of steps. The numbers of the menu that is presented at a time should not exceed nine.

  • The present study investigates a standardized framework for support system of ship design engineering. The purpose of this research is to improve the efficiency of information gathering and its use in tasks of the ship design engineering support system. Due to their variety and complexity, the existing engineering methods tend to waste time in searching for the standardized method and knowledge or to cause errors on tasks. Generally, these kinds of system have serious problems. The most serious one among them is that the existing system consists of both useful and useless data. This finally leads engineers to a failure in finding out useful information from the system. We have designed a standardized framework, which enables users to properly recompose the menu form depending on the task process, simplifies the methods at several process levels, and provides a more intuitive method in user interface environment in order to resolve the existing problems, minimize the system-operating costs, and improve the efficiency of engineering tasks.

  • The design of distrbuted systems is difficult to achieve as the execution patterns of distrbuted systems are typically more complex than those of non- distributed systems. Thus, research toward the development of design methods for distributed systems is quitely needed. As object-oriented systems and distrbuted systems share similar properties, the combination of these two is somehow natural. In this work, a design of distributed systems is introduced. The goal of the method in this paper is to provide assistance to the process of specifying a formal object- oriented specification from graphical representation specification inputs such as data flow diagrams, state transition diagrams and Petri nets. It addresses the extraction of objects, operations and reationshipsfrom the problem domain with emphasis on the specification of the characteristics of distributed systems. This object identification method is supported by a knowledge base that provides for the automated analysis and reasoning about objects and their relationsships. The final object model is represented in a format which provides a formal mechanism for reprsenting the object information.

A Study on Satisfaction with Food Coordination in a University Cafeteria (대학 구내식당 푸드 코디네이션 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • The goal of this study is to improve food coordination, which is one of the factors of menu quality, by surveying satisfaction of students who visit a university cafeteria. Using Amos 7.0 to graphically verify the structure of the overall model, these following results were obtained. First, satisfaction with Interior facilities was positively enhanced by food shapes, food colors, tableware sizes and tableware colors. The more people liked these factors, the higher their satisfaction was. Second, satisfaction with Interior decoration was judged by such factors as food sizes, food colors and tableware colors. Third, satisfaction with Interior lightings was affirmatively affected by the colors of food and tableware. Fourth, Interior facilities, decoration and lightings all have positive influence on satisfaction with food. Higher satisfaction on these factors guarantee higher satisfaction with food. Among the standardized coefficient, Interior decoration(0.460), Interior lighting(0.310), Interior facilities(0.183), Interior decoration appears to be the most important factor for satisfaction with food.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of selection factors which include accessibility, trade area, spatiality, convenience, reliability, assurance on satisfaction. Also, the relationship among satisfaction, conversion cost, and reuse intention was examined. The survey was conducted for college students who had used coffee shops in the last month and 247 copies were used for the analysis. The study model was analyzed by the basic statistical analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structural model analysis using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. As a result of analysis, it was confirmed that customer satisfaction was influenced by factors in order of assurance, accessibility, commerciality, reliability, and spatiality. Also, satisfaction and conversion cost have a significant effect on reuse intention. The result shows that the satisfaction of selection factors increases student customer's behavioral intentions and ultimately contributes to the improvement of coffee shop performance. Therefore, a coffee shop targeting college students needs a lot of interest in the taste of coffee, price, various menus and accessibility, trade area, and large space.

  • Users are able to search and read interesting items and hence click hyperlink linked to the item which is detailed content unit such as menu, login, news, video, etc. Small screen like mobile device is very difficult to viewing all web contents at once. Browsing and searching for interesting items by scrolling to left and right or up and down is discomfort to users in small screen. Searching and displaying directly the item preferred by users can reduces difficulty of interface manipulation of mobile device. To archive it, web contents based on desktop will be segmented on a per-item basis which component unit of web contents. Most segment algorithms are based on segment method through analysis of HTML code or mobile size. However, it is difficult to extract item blocks. Because present web content is getting more complicated and diversified in structure and content like web portal services. A web content segment algorithm suggested in this paper is based on extracting item blocks is component units of web contents.

  • In this study, a GIS-application model to determine the optimal route of eco-friendly forest roads and to evaluate the environmental and engineering features of the route was developed. The model consists of five modules for managing spatial and attribute data, determining the optimal route for forest road projection, evaluating environmental and engineering efficiency of forest roads, analyzing characteristics of mountain terrains and report-writing. Using the pull-down menu system, these modules were integrated to be user-friendly for forest field practitioners. Visual Basic 6.0 and Avenue were used as the programming tool and the commercial GIS softwares, ArcView 3.1, Spatial Analyst and 3-D Analyst were used as the basic engine of the model for GIS analysis. In this paper, discussed are the principles for forest road projection and evaluation and structures and application features of the model.

  • In this study, a relational database program to manage the data involved in forest planning was developed in such a way to simulate the whole process of 'Younglim' planning in Korean National Forest System. Using the pull-down menu system of various functions required for developing 'Younglim' plan, the database program can handle the data of forest inventory, 10-year working plans, annual working plans and the history of forest operations automatically and simultaneously. The model was designed to run under the environment of Korean version of Windows 95. Visual Basic 5.0 was used as the basic tool for programming and Microsoft ACCESS as the basic engine of the database system. In this paper, the process of designing the structure of database program following the process of 'Younglim' plan and the structure of the model are discussed. In addition, the functions of menu system are presented using the screen-mode output windows of the model.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of electronic trade's web site usability on the user satisfaction and customer royalty. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, a research model was established and obtained the results as follows, First, navigation, information structure characteristic, communication has statistically significant effect on user satisfaction. It means users think more important the convenience, approachableness than web site design, visually menu to the information. Also, it represent communication with user is important factor to use web site. Second, user satisfaction has significant influence on customer royalty. This result signifies the user satisfaction of e-trade site is enhanced by support for convenience, reliability, smoothly communication and eventually affect thr revisiting intention of web site
