  • The on-line and mobile communication technologies provide an environment to make users share information on the rove. However learning on a file received from on-line or mobile internet environment is able to read only, According to this, users cannot use various learning methods to make multimedia contents for learning like coloring and underlining considerable parts. Also, in case of storing, it cannot be stored in a standard file format HTML. Therefore, in this paper, we suggest a new learning platform to be able to change text contents in a web documents and implement a prototype system to process learning system in on-line environment

  • 제조업 중심의 산업화 시대에서 정보화 시대로 넘어가는 현재 우리 주위의 모든 환경이 변해가고 있다. 이러한 정보화시대에는 대부분의 정보들이 컴퓨터에서 처리되기 쉬운 디지털 형태로 표현되어 네트워크를 통한 빠른 전송 및 교환이 가능하며, 교환이나 가공처리 시 원본 데이터의 손실 없는 등 기존의 아날로그 형태에서는 가능하지 않은 수많은 장점들이 있다. 이러한 변화는 멀리 떨어진 것이 아니라 일상생활에서도 느낄 수 있다.(중략)

  • Modem efforts on digitizing electronic books focus on preserving authentic image representation of the original sources. Unlike the text-based format, it is difficult to recognize the information in the image, so the new format requires new tools to help users to access, process, and make sense of digital information. This paper presents an approach which assists users of these image sources by giving them a combination of annotation and social navigation support. Especially in the education domain, the proposed technique improves the usability of online education system. This approach is currently fully implemented and under evaluation in a classroom study.

  • Generally, a paper book that is digitalized or a method of giving information to user in a form of paper book after digitalization is called ebook. Due to the rapid spread of internet and development of digital information technology, ebook has become an important issue globally. Not only can ebook send information efficiently but the price is low and compared to paper books it is more effective in sending information by using technologies like multimedia. However, ebook markets have problems to grow because there are different ebook formats. In this study, we will explain about the development of Electronic Book of Korea Standard(EBKS) to solve the problems. The purpose of EBKS is the exact exchange for ebook contents. To archive this purpose, we define the explict logical structure for documents and recommend metadata for doemetic enviroments and XSL-FO to provide high-quality layout. We expect that the establishment of EBKS will greatly contribute to growth of ebook markets by preventing the duplicable investment for contents and technologies.

  • Hypermedia systems have the browsing mechanism using links and provide navigation tools to retrieve and represent multimedia information. In this study we designed and implemented a hypermedia system which has the hierarchical group and local map for effective navigation. We also propose the clustering mechanism which constructs a cluster tree and uses this knowledge for navigation. The system has been designed to integrate the browsing and searching function of the hypermedia system for efficient multimedia information retrieval and user-interface. This system can be used to develop hypermedia application systems in the area of encyclopedia, reference document information, electronic dictionary and electronic book.

  • In this paper, we propose user-centric immersible and interactive electronic book based on the interface of tabletop display. Electronic book is usually used for users that want to read the text book with multimedia contents like video, audio, animation and etc. It is based on tabletop display platform then the conventional input device like keyboard and mouse is not essentially needed. Users can interact with the contents based on the gestures defined for the interface of tabletop display using hand finger touches then it gives superior and effective interface for users to use the electronic book interestingly. This interface supports multiple users then it gives more diverse effects on the conventional electronic contents just made for one user. In this paper our method gives new way for the conventional electronics book and it can define the user-centric gestures and help users to interact with the book easily. We expect our method can be utilized for many edutainment contents.

  • 하이테크구조에서 출판발행은 사실상 와해의 단계에 와 있다는 우려를 느낀다. 정보는 DB에 저장됨으로써 서비스로 인식되며 전자출판에서도 백과사전류 정도만 살아남고 대부분은 DB속으로 합류되는 실정이다. 이제 출판은 두 가지의 저항을 선택해야 할 시점이다. 더욱 고전적인 책을 만들거나 멀티미디어 제작에서의 출판영역을 보다 분명히 하고 참여하는 일이다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a tangible RealBook based on the interface of TouchFace-V which is able to recognize multi-touch and hand gesture. The TouchFace-V is applied projection technology on a flat surface such as table, without constraint of space. The system's configuration is addressed installation, calibration, and portability issues that are most existing front-projected vision-based tabletop display. It can provide hand touch and gesture applying computer vision by adopting tracking technology without sensor and traditional input device. The RealBook deals with the combination of each advantage of analog sensibility on texts and multimedia effects of e-book. Also, it provides digitally created stories that would differ in experiences and environments with interacting users' choices on the interface of the book. We proposed e-book that is new concept of electronic book; named RealBook, different from existing and TouchFace-V interface, which can provide more direct viewing, natural and intuitive interactions with hand touch and gesture.

  • 최근 인터넷과 스마트 폰 사용시간이 증가함에 따라 편리한 시스템들이 많이 보여 지고 있다. 그중에서 전자책(e-book)은 잘 만들어져 있지만 각 기업마다 DRM(Digital Rights Management) 인증이 걸린 뷰어를 설치해야지 볼 수 있기 때문에 여간 불편한 것이 아니다. 그래서 각기 다른 회사의 e-book이더라도 이용자들의 편리성을 위하여 통합뷰어를 만드는 것에 의의를 두고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠에 적합한 적합한 통합 뷰터 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였으며, 이 과정에서 다양한 DRM의 인증을 해결할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

  • 2010년에는 국내에 Smart Phone이 확산되면서, Smart Phone은 단순한 음성통신정보 전달 이외에 기존의 인터넷 PC가 정보를 전달 할 수 있는 전자책, 영화, 음악, 콘텐츠 영역으로 확장되고 있다. 하지만 Smart Phone 사용자들은 멀티미디어 저작권 콘텐츠를 불법으로 이용하고 있다. 또한 이동통신 단말로서 Smart Phone관련 범죄 증거의 생성, 저장된 디지털 증거는 증거의 활용도가 높아 모바일 포렌식 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서 Smart Phone에서 저작권 위반 내용들을 전자책, 영화, 음악, 콘텐츠 영역으로 조사한다. 저작권 위반 Smart Phone 증거자료를 추출하고 분석하기 위한 SYN 방식과 JTAG 방식을 연구한다. Smart Phone SYN 방식과 JTAG 방식으로 Smart Phone의 저작권 위반 자료를 추출하여 복원하고, 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구 결과는 저작권위반 단속 기술 향상과 포렌식 수사 기술 발전에 기여 할 수 있을 것이다.
