본 논문에서는 얼굴추출을 하는데 있어서 빠른 속도로 얼굴의 구성요소들을 분할하고 추출한다. 효율적인 분할과 추출물 위해서 3가지의 정보를 사용한다. 첫 번째는 얼굴의 색상정보로써 배경 속의 얼굴을 찾는데 이용한다. 두 번째는 얼굴의 윤곽선 정보로 얼굴의 구성요소를 추출해 내는데 사용한다. 세 번째는 얼굴의 구조적인 정보를 이용하여 색상 및 윤곽선 정보를 이용하여 추출된 요소에 대해 얼굴의 다른 구성요소를 추출하는데 이용한다.

본 논문은 얼굴 영역 및 얼굴 구성 요소의 얼굴 특징점을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 얼굴 특징점은 얼굴 인식을 하는데 있어서 중요한 자료이다. 얼굴 영역은 객체 단위 추출 방법을 사용하여 얼굴의 고유 영역만을 추출한다. 얼굴의 구성요소는 각 요소간의 기하학적 정보를 이용하여 얼굴 영역 내에서 추출해 간다. 얼굴 구성요소의 특징점은 미리 정해진 위치에서 특징점을 결정한다. 그리고 이런 특징점간의 상호 연관관계를 설정한다.

본 논문에서는 유식학의 선심소와 멀티미디어 게임 흡인요소간의 연관성을 밝혔다. 11가지 선심소를 기저범주로 놓고 Roget 시소러스를 이용하여 참조정보를 탐색한 결과 선심소의 상세범주를 얻었다. 이것을 게임의 흡인요소 분류표와 대조를 통하여 선심소와 게임 흡인요소의 대응관계를 확인하였다. 이로써 게임의 흡인요소를 유식학 이론의 입장에서 파악할 수 있는 토대를 마련하여, 유식학의 수행법으로 게임이 가지는 부정적 흡인요소의 영향을 완화시킬 수 있는 방법을 강구할 수 있었다.

This paper provides a state-of-the-art on multimedia metadata. After a brief introduction to multimedia metadata, the paper described and analyzed the main metadata initiatives. The results show that these initiatives described the bibliographic elements rather than metadata for contents representation. On the other hand, MPEG-7 covers a rich and detail aspects for representing the complete and consistent multimedia content.

It is very important how users query MM data and how the query results are presented in MMDB systems. Also, the query results are represented as the generalized form so as to be used in various applications. In this paper, we propose a generalized method for querying and presenting MM data by extending query language based on presentation elements of SMIUSMIL is W3C recommendation for synchronized MM presentation). Our system provides the query results for users as SMIL format in order to be used for various applications.

멀티미디어 디스플레이 시장현황과 성장추이를 보면 현재 멀티미디어 디스플레이는 '진화 중'이라는 표현이 적당할 것으로 보인다. 다양한 종류의 시스템을 인식시키기 위한 호환성이 개선됐고 네트워크 기능 까지 추가 되는 등 계속해서 여러 가지 기술이 응집되고 있다. 무선 랜은 랜 케이블이 없어도 되기 때문에 케이블 연결을 최소화해야 하는 멀티미디어 디스플레이에 필요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 IEEE 802.11g wireless mini pci를 탑재한 ARM계열 임베디드 장비에서 C/C++를 사용하여 보다 효율적이고 뛰어난 uClinux기반의 멀티미디어 디스플레이 무선 랜 네트워크 사용자 인터페이스의 구현에 대해서 논의 하고자 한다.

최근 네트워크 대역폭과 CPU의 처리 능력이 향상되고 인터넷 사용의 보편화됨에 따라 멀티미디어 데이터를 실시간으로 전송하고 재생하는 멀티미디어 스트리밍 프레임워크가 출현하게 되었다. 이에 서로 다른 하드웨어 플랫폼, 운영체제, 네트워크 환경에서의 상호 운용성(interoperability)을 제공하는 CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) 기반의 멀티미디어 스트리밍 프레임워크가 출현하고 있다. 현재 멀티미디어 서비스에서 QoS(Quality of Service)를 지원하기 위하여 사용자의 요구사항 반영 구조 연구, 서비스 지원 미들웨어 구조 연구, 통신 프로토콜 및 전송 시스템 등 부분적으로 QoS(Quality of Service)를 지원하는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 상호 운용성을 포함한 CORBA 환경에서 스트리밍 서비스 표준에 의한 시스템에 QoSM(QoS Manager)을 정의하고, 구성요소의 역할 및 맵핑 방법과 이를 위한 인터페이스를 제시한다.

컴퓨터 기술의 발달은 사회 여러 분야에서 획기적인 변화를 가지고 왔고, 이러한 변화를 주도하는 인터넷, 웹, 멀티미디어, 네트？ 등은 특별한 주목을 받고 있다. 특히, 지식과 정보의 빠르고 정확한 전달은 변화의 핵심을 이루는 요소이다. 지식, 정보화 시대에서 네트웍을 통하여 전달되는 지식과 정보는 멀티미디어 데이터가 그 주종을 이루고 있고, 이러한 멀티미디어 데이터들은 기존의 문자위주의 데이터 정보에서와는 다른 성질들을 가지고 있기 때문에 새로운 문서 관리 시스템이 요구되어 진다. 따라서, 웹상에서는 사용자가 요구하는 멀티미디어 문서를 보다 효과적으로 생성하고 저장, 검색할 수 있는 기술이 요구된다 본 연구에서는 인터넷 중심의 정보교환 사회에서 생산적이며 효율적인 문서 공유 및 상호교환을 위해 차세대 인터넷문서의 표준인 XML을 기반으로 문서를 교환하며 이를 효과적으로 저장, 검색, 관리할 수 있는 시스템 모델을 제안하고자 한다.

In recent years, with the development of devices to collect multimedia data such as small CMOS camera sensor and micro phone, studies on wireless multimedia sensor network technologies and their applications that extend the existing wireless sensor network technologies have been actively done. In such applications, various basic schemes such as the processing, storage, and transmission of multimedia data are required. Especially, a security for real world environments is essential. In this paper, in order to defend the sniffing attack in various hacking techniques, we propose a multipath routing scheme for physically avoiding the data transmission path from the risk factors. Our proposed scheme establishes the DEFCON of the sensor nodes that are geographically close to risk factors and the priorities according to the importance of the data. Our proposed scheme performs risk factor detour multipath routing through a safe path considering the DEFCON and data priority. Our experimental results show that although our proposed scheme takes the transmission delay time by about 5% over the existing scheme, it reduces the eavesdropping rate that can attack and intercept data by the risk factor by about 18%.

텔레매틱스는 자동차에서 교통정보 및 여행자정보를 비롯하여 멀티미디어, 인터넷, 이-메 일송수신과 차량원격진단과 사고 시 센터로의 자동통보 서비스 등 자동차 운전자 및 이용자를 위한 서비스라고 할 수 있다. 혹자는 텔레매틱스를 새로운 기술로 분류하기도 하나 엄격히 말하면 텔레매틱스 자체는 기술이 아니고 ITS, 통신, 방송, 인터넷, 멀티미디어 등 각종 요소기술을 활용하는 자동차 중심의 새로운 서비스 영역인 것이다. (중략)
