In order to increase the promotion of multimedia processing techniques in MPEG standard, MPEG Multimedia Middleware (M3W) which supports middleware interface for multimedia processing is set up. In this paper, multimedia protection and management service interfaces based on MPEG Multimedia Middleware (M3W) are introduced. The service interfaces are based on component models of M3W and support normative IPMP messages. The proposed interfaces are composed of Tool interfaces and Trust management interfaces: Tool interfaces provide the functionality supporting terminal and tool based on the governed decoder model and Trust management interfaces provide the supporting functionality such as license managing and authentication required in DRM devices. As an application of the proposed interfaces, a JAVA based player simulator is shown. The proposed interfaces can be easily implemented under various device and application environments as an ISO/IEC 23004-2 standard middleware platform.

본 논문에서는 SMS(Short Message Service)로부터 발전하여 WAP(Wireless Application Prorocol)을 이용한 픽처 메시지 및 간단한 에니메이션 서비스의 단계를 지나 데이터의 포맷이나 형식을 가리지 않는 멀티미디어 데이터 정보를 메시징할 수 있는 서비스 센터의 구현에 관한 내용을 기술한다. MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service)기술은 IS-95C 및 IMT-2000에서 통신 속도가 빨라짐에 따라서 발생할 수 있는 여러 서비스 중의 하나로 기존의 메시징 시스템의 한계를 극복하고 보다 크고 다양한 정보를 전달할 수 있는 인프라 역할을 하면서 더욱 새로운 서비스를 만들어 낼 수 있을 것이다.

최근 무선랜의 이용이 급격하게 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 무선랜은 이동통신에 비해 빠른 데이터 전송이 가능하여 화상통신, VoIP, 동영상 스트리밍 등 멀티미디어 서비스에 적합하다. 하지만 무선랜은 서비스 제공 영역이 작기 때문에 사용자가 자주 이동할 경우 핸드오프가 발생하여 딜레이가 증가한다. 딜레이에 민감한 멀티미디어의 경우 서비스 품질에 영향을 받을 수 있으므로 이에 대한 고려가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 핸드오프의 인증 과정에서 발생하는 딜레이를 줄이기 위해 핸드오프 할 때 사용되는 임시 키인 THK 의 사용을 제안한다. THK 를 이용할 경우 인증 서버를 이용하지 않고도 인증이 가능하며 사용하는 메시지의 양도 작기 때문에 딜레이 감소가 가능하다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 우리가 제안한 프로토콜을 이용할 경우 현재 사용 중인 프로토콜에 비해 최고 2 배의 성능 향상을 얻을 수 있음을 보여준다.

본 고는 ITU-T SG17 Q.5 "Countering spam by technical means"에서의 스팸 대응 기술 표준화 현황을 정리한다. Q.5/17에서의 스팸차단기술 표준화는 주로 이메일 스팸, IP 멀티미디어 스팸, 모바일 단문메시지서비스 스팸을 대상으로하며, 스팸 차단을 위한 상위 수준의 개요 표준, 기술 프레임워크 표준 및 기술 기법에 대한 표준 개발이 이루어지고 있다.

The Disaster text service is a text-based service for public alert. But, foreigners who are not familiar with korean can not understand exactly the disaster text messages provided. Using multimedia information such as images is expected to solve this problem. However, the current disaster message service method is not suitable for multimedia information delivery. This study proposes a firmware-based disaster character service method for displaying disaster image in a terminal. A device using this method should store images corresponding to the type of disaster and use special characters to inform the presentation of image in a terminal. This approach can be implemented in the new firmware installed device and it can be work with the existing device.

실시간 멀티미디어 응용의 등장으로 멀티캐스트와 QoS(Quality of Service)필수적인 망 서비스가 부각되고 있다 이에 ATM 기반의 인터넷에서 IP멀티캐스트의 효율적인 처리를 위하여 MARS(Multicast Address Resolution Server)가 제안되었고, 기존의 최선 서비스 기반의 인터넷에서 QoS(Quality of Service)를 지우너하기위하여 RSVP(Resource Reservation Protocol)가 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 ATM망에서 QoS 가 지원되는 IP 멀티캐스트 서비스를 제공하기위하여 MARS 구조에서 RSVP를 지원하는 방안을 두 가지 제안하고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 그 성능을 분석하고자 한다. 제안하는 두 가지 방법은 각각 RSVP 전 홉 논드 방식과 MARS서버 방식이라 명명하였다. RSVP전 홉 노드 방식은 송신원으로부터 ATM 망으로 진입하는 노드와 수신원을 향하여 ATM망을 진출하는 노드 간에 각각 일대일 양방향 VC를 설정하여 멀티캐스트 그룹에 속하는 수신원들이 보내는 자원 예약 메시지를 ATM 망에서 전송하는 방안이다. MARS 서버 방식은 MARS서버가 RSVP자원 예약 메시지를 처리하도록 그 기능을 확장함으로써 ATM 망의 제어 VC를 절약할 수 있는 방안이다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여, RSVP흐름의 휴지기간이 짧으면 RSVP전 홉 노드방식이 VC해제율이 낮아져 병목 현상으로 인한 큐잉 지연에 크게 영향을 받고 있는 MARS방식보다 유리함을 볼 수 있었고 RSVP 흐름의 휴지기간이 길 때는 병목 현상이 완화된 MARS방식이 VC설정 지연 단점이 부각된 RSVP 전 홉 노드 방식보다 유리함을 볼 수 있었다.

This study is a study dealing with the empirical test of standardized multimedia disaster warning broadcasting linked with the next-generation prediction and warning platform and the disaster warning additional data service of terrestrial UHD broadcasting. The next-generation prediction and warning platform used in the demonstration test complies with the CAP-based TTA standardization standard, and the UHD disaster warning additional data service complies with the AEAT standard. As a result of the experiment, when a standardized CAP disaster warning message is issued and delivered to a broadcasting company, a system was established so that it is automatically converted to AEAT, a UHD disaster warning additional data message, and transmitted. The receiver unit was configured by connecting a set-top capable of receiving disaster alert data and a TV with an HDMI cable. When a disaster is announced, the set-top displays the AEAT message on the TV broadcasting screen, customized to the priority of the disaster and the area where it is issued. In addition, incoming messages are displayed in a language suitable for user settings among 5 languages. Additional multimedia functions such as images and alarm sounds could also be linked. In particular, it was confirmed that the receiver message was displayed within 3 seconds of issuing the disaster alert, enabling prompt delivery of the disaster alert.

In this paper, we describe the design consideration and the system configuration of the AV service terminal which supports the multiple services simultaneously. We present a service control scheme to support the multiple services in the limited network capability and system hardware capability. The system was developed in the form of an add-on board in a PC system based on N-ISDN BRI. Through the field test in domestic N-ISDN, we confirmed the interoperability and robustness of the system. At present, the developed system can basically support the videoconference service. Also the system can support the multimedia retrieval service, messaging service, fine transmission, and group working environment.

본 논문은 광학 현미경으로 관찰된 데이터들을 분산 시스템이나 병렬 시스템에 구현한 소프트웨어 시스템의 설계에 대한 것으로, 이 시스템이 처리하는 데이터들이 대용량이라는 특성과 함께 다중 해상도의 특성을 갖는다. 본 시스템은 고객/서버 모델을 기반으로 하였으며, 대용량 데이터 처리시 성능에 중요한 디스크 입출력의 대역폭을 높이기 위해 힐버트 곡선 기반의 분산 알고리즘을 적용하였다. 서버부는 조정자 노드와 서비스 노드로 구성되며, 시스템의 제 구성 요소들간에는 정해진 통신 규약에 따라 메시지를 주고 받고, 상호 독립적이다. 이 시스템은 의학 교육, 원격 병리, 가상 학술 회의 등에 응용될 때 활용 가치가 높을 것으로 기대된다.

MPLS는 고속 전달, 트랙픽 엔지니어링 그리고 가상 사설망 서비스를 가능하게 한다. MPLS 레이블 스위치와 제어기 사이에서 동작하는 GSMP 프로토콜은 연결, 구성, 장애, 성능관리 및 동기화 기능을 제공하는 개방형 인터페이스 프로토콜이다. GSMP가 적용된 개형형 인터페이스의 망 관리 기능은 제어기 또는 레이블 스위치에 위치할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 MPLS 레이블 스위치의 단순화 및 자원 이용의 효율성을 높이기 위하여 SNMP 에이전트가 제어기에 탑재되는 망 관리 모델을 제시하였다. MPLS-LSR 및 FTN MIB와 GSMP 메시지의 매핑 시나리오를 제시하였으며, 제어기의 구현을 통하여 본 논문에서 제시된 망 관리 모델의 실현성을 확인하였다.
