Cleidocranial dysplasia(CCD) is a congenital disorder of skeletal and dental abnormality, which is a mesodermal dysfunction influencing many tisssues and organs. Skeletal abnormalities in CCD are delayed closure of cranial suture and fontanelle, presence of wormian bone and clavicle aplasia. CCD also has an effect on long bones, phalanges, spine, pelvis, muscles, and central nervous system. Dental manifestations include retention of deciduous teeth, multiple supernumerary teeth, delayed eruption or impaction of permanent teeth and formation of cysts around nonerupted teeth. However, due to lack of any substansive medical or physical disability, diagnosis is often late, thereby causing masticatory and psychological problems caused by delayed eruption of permanent teeth after exfoliation of deciduous teeth. For this reason, CCD requires early diagnosis, and the patient's appearance must be improved. Also, provision for a functional masticatiory mechanism by treatment of surgical removal of supernumerary teeth followed by orthodontic eruption of the natural permanent teeth at an adequate time is necessary.

The purpose of the present retrospective study was to analyze gender, age, awareness, etiology, and treatment choice in patients with failed eruption of the mandibular first molar. Radiographic material and dental records from 67 patients with 74 mandibular first molars with failed eruption treated during the years 2001-2014 were evaluated. As results, the prevalence of mandibular first molar with failed eruption was higher in males than females, and the average awareness age was 9.19 years old. The most common etiological cause was unknown, and the next most common causes were abnormal eruption pathway and odontogenic tumor in order. In this study, it is suggested that more dental education to children about the time of eruption of permanent tooth is required, and the importance of regular dental check-ups is emphasized during mixed dentition.

Physiologic root resorption occur from the apex of the primary teeth close to the permanent teeth towards the apex. Pathologic root resorption occur on surfaces of root due to causes such as trauma, replantation, orthodontic treatment, delayed or irregular eruption of teeth, or growing cysts or tumors. In children, the most frequently affected teeth from trauma are the maxillary primary central incisors. After such an event, root resorption initiate from the traumatized pulp or periodontium. In this case report, periapical radiographs were used to evaluate the features of pathologic root resorption by studying patients with history of trauma. The following results were noted. 1. Pathologic root resorption was observed in various patterns in all of the 10 traumatized maxillary primary central incisors. 2. Though teeth with pathologic root resorption were treated with pulpectomy, the resorption process continued to progress.

The strict meaning of the term retarded eruption is that tooth eruption is delayed compared to its developmental stage. The etiological factors for it may be local, systemic or genetic. Its pathogenic mechanism is unknown in most cases. In cases of generalized retarded eruption without any clear reason, the general growth and development seems normal in all aspects and the teeth usually keep the normal eruption sequence. Usually the primary teeth may often be extracted hoping to provoke the eruption of the retarded teeth, only to be proved a failure. Consequently, the patient will be without teeth for many years, with loss of esthetics, loss of occlusal height and resorption of alveolar process. The primary goal in the treatment may therefore be to keep and maintain the primary teeth in good condition until they are naturally shed. This observation was done on 10 year 1 month old patient who were diagnosed as idiopathic retarded eruption through both radiographic and systemic examination and follow-up observation was done for 11 month.

Inverted Impaction of the permanent maxillary central incisor is rare. The causes of impaction are trauma and periapical inflammation of primary maxillary incisor teeth. Treatment options for a inverted incisor is extraction, surgery and orthodontic traction, transplantation, and spontaneous eruption guidance. Treatment depends on the incisor's root development and the space available for eruption. If root development is immature, prognosis would be good. We reported successful treatment for inverted maxially central incisor of proper eruption and normal root development by correction of a eruption route. But further observation will be required to evaluate the final root development state and amount of at tachment gingiva.

It is a relatively common clinical experience to see an unerupted maxillary central incisor. This phenomenon is apparent at the dental age of almost eight years and over. Among the possible cause for failure of eruption, ectopic development of the tooth germ is mentioned. This is not fully understood but trauma or periapical imflammation of primary predecessors is accepted. The case with no history of trauma may be impacted by the periapical imflammation of primary predecessors. For bringing into the tooth eruption and the continued normal root developement by the Hertwig's epithelial root sheath, there are early considered of surgical invention and orthodontic traction with removable appliance. We reported successful treatment for inverted maxillary central incisor with proper eruption and normal root developement by forced eruption using removable appliance. But further observation will be required to evaluate the final root developement state and amount of keratinized attachment gingiva.

Distal displacement of the tooth germ of the mandibular second premolar (MnP2) leads to its impaction and obturation of the eruption path of the mandibular first molar delaying its eruption. The present case report describes the treatment of 2 cases of eruption guidance for distally displaced developing MnP2 that caused delayed eruption of the mandibular first molar. Intentional extraction of primary predecessor results in the mesial shift of the displaced MnP2. However, unfavorable distal ectopic eruption of the mandibular first premolar after the premature loss of primary second molar has been previously reported. Hemisection and sequential extraction of the mandibular primary second molar were performed to mesially shift the distally displaced MnP2, while preventing unfavorable distal ectopic eruption of the mandibular first premolar.
The purpose of this case report is to provide the information of the treatment of the impacted-displaced teeth associated with the disease in the jaw. A 10-year-old boy presented with a large radiolucent lesion accompanying the displacement of the second premolar and first molar in the left mandibular body area. The lesion was diagnosed as unicystic ameloblastoma. As a surgical procedure for the present case, marsupialization was executed. For the eruption of displaced impacted teeth, no orthodontic intervention was done for second premolar while a helical spring was used for the forced eruption of first molar. Goof occlusion was established by simple orthodontic intervention.

Infraocclusion is defined as tooth whose relative occlusal movement was blocked during the period of active eruption due to ankylosis and so on. Then infraoccluded tooth remains under the occlusal plane composed by adjacent structures showing normal eruption patterns. Untreated infraocclusion may cause: prolonged retention of infraoccluded teeth; extrusion of apposed teeth; destruction of periodontal tissues by occlusal force and food packing; increased sensitivity for dental caries; and disturbances on eruption pathway of succedaneous teeth. Therefore, periodic check-ups and proper treatments are required. There are many treatment options on infraoccluded deciduous molars such as periodic observation, conservative method, restoration and space regaining with extraction of the teeth. The choice of treatment may depend on the presence of succedaneous teeth, time of diagnosis and degree of infraocclusion. In this case report, three patients showing displacement of the second premolars due to infraocclusion of upper second primary molars, were treated by means of space regaining with removable orthodontic appliances and extraction of ankylosed primary molars. All malpositioned permanent premolars in the 3 cases showed ordinary eruption pathways after treatment.

Odontoma represents 22% of all odontogenic tumors, which is characterized by slow growth pattern. Most of the odontomas usually develop during dental follicle proliferation. The growth of odontoma is limited and lesion is generally asymptomatic. It is frequently diagnosed during assessments for delayed eruption of permanent tooth and is usually founded in the second decade of life. Odontoma is usually diagnosed through radiographic views and is difficult to diagnose at the early developmental stage of odontoma. But an uncalcified developing odontoma can disturb the eruption of the tooth, so it is important to perform periodic radiographic examinations. Treatments are surgical removal and observation of odontoma followed by surgical opening or orthodontic traction of impacted tooth according to the tooth development and the location of impacted tooth. In this case, we found the radiopaque calcified odontoma in the radiographic view meanwhile follow up of the impacted tooth showing idiopathic eruption disturbance. This suggests that a developing odontoma is the cause of eruption disturbace.
