This study aims to identify what kind of epistemological resources were activated in unproductive and productive practice by students participating in scientific argumentation, and to explore which contexts result in changes in argumentative practice. We collected transcriptions of participants' argumentative lessons and interview, participants' work sheets, and researchers' field notes. The analysis revealed that the focus group activated different kinds of epistemological resources depending on their practice; propagated, belief, and accumulation in unproductive practice and constructed, understanding, accumulation, formation and rebuttal in productive practice. We found two contextual cues that led to these changes; unfamiliar form of argumentative task was provided and emotional, epistemic, and conceptual support of the epistemic authority. This work can be provided as additional case studies to analyze changes in practice according to learner context-dependent epistemology, and we expect to contribute to discussions of productive epistemology and stabilization for students' authentic science engagement.

In this paper, we propose CAMAR Core Platform as a framework for context-aware mobile augmented reality system development after brief introduction of limitations in the previous mobile augmented reality (AR). There have been many research activities on mobile AR due to recent enhancement of functionalities of mobile devices and development of relevant technologies to mobile augmented reality. In order to be used in ubiquitous computing environment, however, mobile AR systems should be able to utilize available contextual information, augment personalized contents, and share the augmented contents with other users. Thus, the proposed CAMAR Core Platform can provide such functionalities to those who want to develop CAMAR systems. To show the feasibility of the proposed framework, we show several applications based on the framework.

Dynamic context is considered as a source for intuitive understanding on the calculus. The relation between the area under time-velocity graph and distance is the base of the dynamic contexts which are treated in the integral calculus. The fundamental theorem of calculus has originated in dynamic contexts. This paper investigated the fundamental theorem of calculus via the relation between the area under time-velocity graph and distance. And we analyzed mathematics textbooks and the understanding of students. Finally we suggest some proposal for the teaching of the fundamental theorem of calculus.

Performing arts are composite art forms made through the collective participation of people who are responsible for a variety of roles with a multidimensional context. This study presents an analysis of the context to be expressed in the process of the arrangement and description of records of performing arts, with a focus on the relationship between performance work and performance planning, the relationship between performance planning and individual performance, the relationship between performance and people who participated in the performance, relationship between records and records, and the relationship between performance and records. With this, this study proposes a logical hierarchical structure that is required to express the context of the inner relationship of performing arts archives. It also suggests a model of sequential organization to describe the inner logic of the relationship between records and records.

This study develops an informal science education program based on a creative design for the promotion of participation and action and explores the validity and effectiveness of the program. The program consists of three mini-projects, namely, The Martian: Surviving from the Mars, So Good to Have Seonjeongneung, and Designing a Sunshine Restaurant, with distinct topics focusing on the localization and contextualization of the region in which the program was implemented to encourage students' participation and action. The researchers selected three topics for each mini-project through discussions and revisions. The program is designed for 42 lessons across the three mini-projects and offers a presentation session in which students present their learnings from the program, constructed to facilitate personal contextualization. Participants included 15 elementary school students from Grades 5 and 6 who took surveys before and after the program. The pre-post surveys comprised two dimensions, 'Participation and Action' and 'Positive Experience about Science,' to examine the effectiveness of the program. At the end of the survey, we added a self-descriptive question that allows students to freely write down their feelings and thoughts. We checked the students' thoughts. The effectiveness of the program was illustrated by the largest increase in the "safe society" category, whereas there was little increase in other categories under the 'participation and Action' dimension in the Korean Science Education Standards. 'Science-related Self-concept' exhibited the largest increase, whereas the other categories displayed little increase from the 'Positive Experience about Science' dimension category.

우리나라에서 항공기 착륙장치 - 위아(주)로 통한다. 이러한 등식이 통용되기까지 위아의 노력은 국내 유일의 항공기 착륙장치 전문업체라는 타이틀 이전에 우리나라 항공산업의 발전과정과 그 맥락을 같이 해오고 있다. 그 결과 위아가 보유한 항공기 착륙장치에 관한 제조기술 및 일부 설계기술이 국내 항공기술 축적의 자존심을 지키고 있다. 또한 위아가 항공기 부품사업에서 단계별로 쌓은 기술축적은 항공기 부품의 국산화 과정을 보여주는 대표적인 케이스로도 주목받고 있다.

This study problematizes the youth‘s politico-cultural process of identification as becoming in the context of candle demonstration in Seoul, 2008. We examine their ethical subjectivity, communicative subjectivity and political subjectivity based on our analysis of depth interviews of teenage activists in the candle demonstrations. It is suggested that instead of naming the teens as the historical consequence of so-called 386 generation, or social product in the neo-liberal economic and educational conditions, we need to understand the complexities and dynamics of the youth’s practice of identity politics: subjective pain and anxiety in daily life, creation and sharing of pleasure and fun of peer group comunication are mixed into the pursuit of justice in their social activation of generation/gender politics.

We propose a method for geographically enhanced representation of social networks and implement a Web-based 3D visualization of geographical contexts in social networks. A renovated social network graph is illustrated by using two key components: (i) GWCMs (geographically weighted centrality measures) that reflect the differences in interaction intensity and spatial proximity among nodes and (ii) MSNG (map-integrated social network graph) that incorporates the GWCMs and the geographically referenced arrangement of nodes on a choroplethic map. For the integrated 3D visualization of the renovated social network graph, we employ X3D (Extensible 3D), a standard 3D authoring tool for the Web. An experimental case study of regional R&D collaboration provides a visual clue to geographical contexts in social networks including how the social centralization relates to spatial centralization.
