BcN에서의 IPTV 및 DMB 서비스

  • 21세기를 맞이하여 서비스, 단말 및 매체의 "개인화," "이동화" 및 "융합화"의 경향이 급속도로 확산되고 있으며, 이러한 조류의 최전선에 통방융합이 자리하고 있다. 기술의 발전에 따라 사용자의 요구가 변화되고, 이러한 변화는 이종 기술 및 서비스의 융합을 시도하게 만들었다. 지금까지 수년에 걸쳐 통신과 방송분야에서 기술 및 서비스의 융합이 시도되어 왔으나 실제 사용자 측면에서의 가시적인 결실은 미미하였던 것이 사실이다. 이러한 현실은 IPTV(Internet Protocol TV)나 DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting)가 등장함에 따라 생활에 바로 적용이 가능한 현실적인 서비스가 되었다. 이와 같은 현실을 바탕으로 BcN(Broadband Convergence Network)에서의 IPTV 및 DMB 서비스에 대한 기술과 현황 및 전망을 살펴본다.

  • 급변하는 통ㆍ방 융합 시대를 맞아 케이블방송이 새로운 도전에 직면하고 있다. 그 동안 경쟁매체라고 해봐야 지상파와 위성방송 채널 정도였지만 이제 통신과 방송의 융합이라는 거대 조류 속에서 IPTV, TV포털 등 새로운 개념의 방송 서비스와 경쟁해야만 하기 때문이다. 새로운 경쟁자들이 속속 진입하고 있는 방송 시장에서 과연 케이블방송 업계가 수성에 성공할지 관심이 모아지고 있다.

Transmedia Storytelling of Game and Film (게임과 영화의 스토리텔링 융합 요소에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the principle that the contents transfer from one media to another media, especially between game and film. Firstly I described the advent of the media and the relationship between these two media applying the logic of 'remediation' suggested by J.Bolter and R.Grusin suggested. Based on these analysis, I draw the gameness and the storytelling, and study the case of transmedia storytelling between game and film. Finally, I suggest the meaning and the value of transmedia storytelling in media culture.

Public Interest and Ownership Regulations in the Media Industry in the Era of Convergence Focused on Domestic Daily Newspapers' Ownership of Broadcasting Station (융합시대 미디어산업의 공익성과 소유규제 국내 종합일간지와 방송의 교차소유 문제를 중심으로)

  • Media-related regulations can be classified into two categories; regulations of individual media contents and regulations regarding the entry to and withdrawal from a certain field. In this dissertation, ownership regulations are regarded as legal and political measures so as to prevent the monopoly and oligopoly of public opinion, and to secure its diversity. Every country has its own regulation model according to its particular media environment. Korea too is obliged to actively respond to its environmental changes, at the same time vitalizing the media industry and protecting consumers' rights and interests. Strong political intentions to protect the public interest is necessary when it comes to media regulation policies, especially in the circumstances that public interest is an industrial priority. As the convergence of broadcasting and telecommunications is leading to a major shift in the media industry, the regulation of cross-media ownership is an issue involving potential conflicts among media-owners, non-governmental organizations and the authorities concerned, depending on their various viewpoints regarding the media industry. In this paper, an attempt was made to search necessity of redefining 'public interest', which is the logic behind the restriction of cross-media ownership, and to reconceptualize issues on the centralization and diversity of media. First, an examination of the actual conditions of newspaper companies was carried out in order to reinvestigate domestic cross-media ownership issues, which is represented by the cross-ownership issue of newspapers and broadcasting stations. Next, the dilemma of policies stimulated by the fusion of media was discussed based on cross-media ownership restrictions, and the need for efficient conflict control was suggested. Finally, proposals on the independency and public confidence of media-related policy-making authorities, the rationalization of regulation models, an itemized discussion on cross-media ownership regulation issues, the elaboration of measures for a balanced development among media were made. It could be found that a number of foreign countries were still facing challenges to prevent monopoly and oligopoly of the public opinion and the industry. A solution to settle disagreements about the dilemma of the media industry, including the cross-media ownership regulation issues, must be arranged on the grounds of 'mutual respect of public interest and industrial interest', In Korea, an ease on the ownership regulations adapting to the change in the media industry may be considered, however the softening of the cross-media ownership regulations must be approached with the utmost care. Paradoxically Relieving cross-media ownership regulations may be considered the foundation of a richer field of journalism, where there is no need for concern over the monopoly and oligopoly of public opinion.

  • Since the middle of the 1960's, revitalization of the media art has showed a new paradigm shift as a alternative to existing art genre. According to advances in technology the form of art becomes various. Nowdays, art work which is mixed with media and other genre is popular because of hybrid culture. The image medium has flexibilty to incorporate with other genre because of medium character. The media installation that applied the image medium means to mixed work of sculpture and media. The sculpture and media has been broadened the field through the media installation. this study discuss art works projected image on sculpture among various media installation works. The materiality of the sculpture and the vision of the image mix up each other. It is associated with M. Merleau-Ponty's sens theory.

A Study on the Utilization of Digital Learning Support Tools in the Field of French Studies Education (프랑스학 교육 분야의 디지털 학습지원 매체 활용에 관한 연구)

  • This study aimed to investigate the current utilization and implications of digital learning support media in the field of French studies, and to explore future research directions. To achieve this, we conducted a comprehensive review of the use of digital media in various learning processes within French studies. Additionally, we examined the direct application of ChatGPT, an emerging technology, to learning by extending its use to foreign language and education fields. Our findings indicate that the application of digital learning support media in French studies is somewhat limited, with selective use in processes such as online class support media, pre-class learning, efficient learning and interaction, and self-directed learning. In the case of ChatGPT, our research found that no studies have been conducted within French studies, and very few studies have been conducted on its practical application in other educational fields. While ChatGPT has a wide range of applications and has shown positive effects on learners, ethical concerns have been raised regarding the quality, source, and reliability of information. Therefore, future research in French studies should focus on educational application and effectiveness verification in university teaching and learning situations, as well as interdisciplinary convergence with digital learning support media.

디지털 사이니지의 위치기반 서비스 기술의 현황 및 전망

  • 최근 디지털 사이니지 분야는 광고분야의 한정적 매체 특성을 벗어나 첨단 기술과 서비스 콘텐츠를 결합하여 다양한 분야에서 새로운 형태의 매체로 변화하고 있다. 특히, 광고 업계의 침체와 기존 단순 영상 송출의 한계를 증강현실, 동작인식, 다양한 매체간 목적성 연동, 위치기반 맞춤형 서비스 등을 제공하며 융합적, 결합적 서비스 매체로 진화하고 있다. 2000년대 초 디지털 사이니지의 국내 보급은 국외를 포함해서 보급이 매우 빨랐다. 디지털 사이니지는 광고 목적으로 시작됐지만, 외형적 성장 속도에 비해 매체를 통해 제공되는 콘텐츠, 서비스, 운용 기술 및 S/W 개발 등의 질적 성장은 상대적으로 소극적이었다. 그러나 최근 아시아를 중심으로 한류 열풍이 확산되면서 K-POP, 화장품, 의류, 바이오 등 산업을 중심으로 디지털 사이니지의 수요가 증가하는 추세이며, IT와 융복합되면서 교육, 정보 제공, 예술분야에 적극 활용됨에 따라 국내 디지털 사이니지 산업이 새로운 전기를 맞고 있다. 특히, 위치 기반 서비스는 2000년 후반 차량용 네비게이션 시장을 시작으로 현재 스마트폰에 기본으로 장착되면서 이제는 서비스 전분야에 직/간접적으로 활용되는 다양한 기술이 개발되고 있는 실정이다. 이와 같이 디지털 사이니지는 첨단 기술과 결합하여 다양한 형태의 지능적 처리 능력을 이용함으로써 현재 광범위하게 사용되는 위치 기반 기술과 서비스를 결합한 새로운 매체 인프라로 생활 공간에서 급속히 확산되고 있다. 본고에서는 현재 뜨거운 화두가 되고 있는 디지털 사이니지와 위치 기반 기술의 기술 및 시장 현황을 살펴보고, 기술 및 서비스 융복합에 따른 앞으로의 디지털 사이니지 분야와 결합된 위치 기반 서비스의 미래를 전망해 본다.

A Study on the Performative Case of Contemporary Ceramics through Convergence with Performance (퍼포먼스와 융합을 통한 현대 도예의 수행적 사례 연구)

  • This thesis studies and analyzes the performative expression and meaning of ceramic performance art in the diversifying contemporary ceramic art. Therefore, after analyzing the ceramic performance works of Miquel Barcelό, Josef Nadj, Kang-hyo Lee, Teri Frame, and J. J. McCracken, I tried to find out the performativity and effectiveness of the performance. As a result of the study, the ceramic performance shows the expandability beyond the expression form and production process shown in general ceramic artworks through physical actions using clay. In addition, the real-time performance of the actor is a process embodiment of creating an event, and the open structure in which the artist and the audience relate to each other enables interpretation and understanding in a different way than before. Convergence attempts with other media imply borderlessness in contemporary ceramics and show the possibility of expanding into new field. This is expected to have a positive impact that breaks the ideological frame of the ceramic arts field, which has strong craft characteristics.

The Influence of Adolescents' Social Network(SNS) Addiction Tendency on Personal Relations (청소년의 SNS 중독경향성이 대인관계에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was narrative research study to find out the effect of adolescents' social media addiction tendencies on interpersonal relationships. This research data was collected from 250 middle high school students in G city, Gyeongnam and collected data was analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, Multiple regression coefficient using SPSS 23.0 program. SNS addiction tendency scores according to general characteristics of adolescents were gender (t= -2.25, p = .011), duration of SNS use (F= 3.15, p= .015), average usage time (F= 15.87, p=. 001), SNS media (F= 3.12, p= .027), and SNS media usage time (F= 6.58, p= .001) were statistically significant. As a result of verifying the correlation of main variables, addiction tendency of SNS had statistically significant static correlation with interpersonal relationships. Influencing factors of interpersonal relations were Addiction tendency of SNS(${\beta}=-.64$, p=.<001) Interpersonal relationship explained 37% of the total variability.
