The study was carried out for the purpose of identifying implications that should be considered in educating DDC through online within Library and Information Science curriculum. Followed by operating a NCS-based educational course utilizing printed matter and web version of DDC, two tests and survey were conducted to analyze learning outcomes, satisfaction, and preferences by learning tools. The result showed that differences in educational medium do not correlate to educational performance significantly. However, during the learning process, the mainly used medium affects the usefulness, preference and future utilization of the medium. Based on the research results, when designing DDC education using WebDewey in the future, compared to the printed version, relative understanding for utilizing the structure and its items of DDC classification, built numbers and education for understanding Web Dewey interface and function are required.

The purpose of this study is to analyze types and features social issues about the Gyeongju earthquakes 2016, South Korea. The specific purpose is to identify types of topics related to Gyeongju Earthquakes, changes of topics over time, and the differences of topics depending on the each type of newspapers. According to the result of topic modeling, 55 topics were extracted. The result of this study is following these. First, the main topics have been changed with the course of time. In September, various topics were emerged, specifically urgent issues was found during two weeks after the first earthquake. After October, topics about social problems derived from the earthquakes received much attention at that time. Topics related to safety problems about nuclear plant have steadily found in all period. Second, topics varied depending whether the newspaper is national or regional. Also, differences of topics were found when dividing the newspapers by their characteristics considered conservative or liberal.

The advertisement market is an industry that is heavily influenced by media changes. As the digital broadcasting has settled, TV, a typical advertisement medium, has evolved from a passive content consuming medium into a platform for operating various data services as well as broadcasting programs. These changes mean that viewers are able to actively consume TV contents including advertisement, so the broadcasting industry needs to consider about the growth strategies that link the advertisement market with data services. This study designed a digital broadcasting data service that provides supplementary information of ID advertisement with short exposure time (less than 10 seconds) and insufficient space (less than 1/4 of TV screen). Specifically, we designed the user scenario and user interface of the data service, defined representative types of ID advertisement and the supplementary information for each type, developed a method, based on the international digital broadcasting standard DVB, for providing the supplementary information to the data service.

APON, the subscriber network using bus or tree topology, requires MAC protocol, because it shares the uplink channel for many subscribers to transmit data to OLT. Although various MAC schemes, which consider each QoS characteristics of traffic are proposed considering transmission characteristics of ATM traffic class, existing schemes reduce the network efficiency by increasing transmission overhead in frame. In this paper, we propose new MAC scheme, which shows similar performance as those of existing schemes but does not increase transmission overhead. To prevent increasing transmission overhead, the proposed scheme encodes the information about each cell information of traffic of the local queue in RAU transmitted periodically from ONU to OLT Thus, the proposed MAC scheme shows similar performance as those of existing ones and increases efficiency of entire network.

The school library media specialists offer the users assistance in using information resources and instructional media by assessing, evaluating and selecting the most appropriate materials for the present educational situation in school. The format of the information media and the scope of the media center collection have constantly been changed by information technology. Media specialist has to know the selection criteria to be capable of providing any media format in the technological society, particularly of providing instruction software(courseware), multimedia, hypermedia and digital reference service to maintain the school library media center as one of the user oriented educational information centers. This paper presents the selection criteria for the instruction media by media format as one of the useful guidelines to the media specialist.

Construction worker safety and safety training continue to be main issues in the construction industry. In order to promote safety awareness among workers, it is imperative to develop a more effective and efficient safety training. This study compared two methods in construction worker safety training: 1) a conventional lecture and 2) 3D simulation through Building Information Modeling. Both training methods included the same contents, a selection of safety standard and guide suggested by Occupational Safety and Health Agency and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency; the contents were then produced into two types of training methods. A survey was conducted targeting on safety managers, in which the managers evaluated lifelikeness, active learning and enjoyment that each of training methods can promote. The results of the survey showed that innovative method using 3D simulation was more effective than conventional lecture method in terms of its lifelikeness, active learning and enjoyment. This study will provide implications that innovative method using the virtual reality is more effective than conventional lecture method.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the media of middle school social studies 1 textbooks with the information processing model and to suggest educational information services of teacher librarians under a collaborative Instruction. For this purpose, 1,089 inquiry tasks embedded in 8 types of textbooks for middle school social studies developed under the 2015 revised curriculum were analyzed. The media as an input element was analyzed by the type and the characteristic as a processing element was analyzed by the cognitive behavior types. And the aspect of the output factor of the media utilized the multiple intelligences. As a result of the analysis, the media in the inquiry task solving process mainly consisted of visual media based on photographs and illustrations and general reading materials. The processing method of media is understanding through analysis and inference through structuring. And the output utilized speaking and writing of the language intelligence. Based on the results, it is shown that educational information services that teacher librarians could provide for inquiry activities are composed of developing curriculum map, teaching inquiry processing and skills, and designing work sheets with graphic organizer and multiple intelligences under the information processing steps.

미디어 환경의 변화에 따라 콘텐츠의 소비가 기존의 단방향 방송매체의 이용은 정체되고 있으며, 새로운 양방향 TV매체의 이용이 빠르게 활성화 되고 있다. 관련하여 광고분야에서는 소비매체의 특징을 반영한 맞춤형광고, 양방향 커머스형 광고, 리워드형광고 등 새로운 광고상품들이 나타나고 있다. 미디어 환경 변화에 대응하여 광고산업의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서는 개방형 스마트광고 플랫폼, 광고 효과 측정체계 및 기술 기반 구축 등 스마트광고 기술에 대한 연구개발이 필요하다. 본고에서는 뉴미디어 광고 유형사례와 스마트광고 플랫폼, 효과측정 기술동향 및 서비스 개발사례에 대하여 소개하고, 광고산업 활성화에 필요한 요소들을 도출하고자 한다.

인터넷의 급격한 발달은 새로운 교육매체를 등장시키고 있다. 인터넷 동화는 인터넷의 발달과 함께 등장한 독서교육의 새로운 대안이며 이미 아동들에게는 친숙한 매체가 되었다. 학교에서도 인터넷 동화는 교사가 쉽게 이용할 수 있는 하나의 교육자료로 자리 잡고 있다. 아동의 창의성 발달을 위한 교육방법인 독서교육과 인터넷 동화를 관련지었을 때 전통적인 독서교육에서 이용하는 인쇄동화와 새로운 매체인 인터넷 동화는 읽기 이해도에서는 큰 차이가 없다고 할 수 있다. 그렇다면 인터넷 동화와 인쇄동화는 아동의 창의성 발달에 어떠한 영향을 주는지 알아보고자 한다.

가상공간에서의 정보교류가 늘어나면서 컴퓨터 통신언어도 자연어처리의 새로운 연구 분야로 등장하였다. 가장 일상화된 컴퓨터 통신어이며 인터넷상의 실시간 대화어인 채팅언어는 신속한 정보 전달 매체의 기능과 문자언어로서 정보교류와 대화 상황을 함께 내포해야 하는 문어와 구어의 양면성을 동시에 가는 언어이다. 이러한 특수성으로 컴퓨터 통신언어의 경우 발화자의 개성에 따라한 의미의 단어도 표기법이 다양하여 어휘수가 매우 많다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 통신에서 사용되는 다양한 어휘를 컴퓨터로 처리하기 위한 어휘의 유형을 체계화하는 방안을 제시한다.
