A case study on the design and application of metaverse class space in elementary mathematics: Focusing on the affective domain (초등 수학에서 메타버스 수업 공간 설계 및 적용 사례 연구: 정의적 영역을 중심으로)

  • This study attempted to design a virtual space using ZEP, a metaverse platform, to enable mathematics classes in the metaverse space, to apply it to mathematics classes, and to find out changes in students' affective domain. As a result, students showed positive effects in terms of subject efficacy, subject interest, intrinsic motivation, class satisfaction and participation. In addition, we found the possibility of customized classes for each student level by performing different missions in classroom classes with limited time and space.

  • In this study, the satisfaction level of the class between 'Content utilization and task performance class' and 'real-time interactive class' was compared and analyzed among the types of online classes conducted in elementary schools. The researchers conducted a study to compare and analyze the satisfaction level of classes in 'Content utilization and task performance class' and 'Real-time interactive class', and the research group selected 98 elementary school students in Hwaseong. As a result of the analysis, the satisfaction level of classes for "real-time interactive classes" was high. The satisfaction level of students' characteristics was analyzed, students who were not good at performing their task and those who were not good at concentrating on their classes were more satisfied with 'content utilization and task performance classes.'

Development and mathematical performance analysis of custom GPTs-Based chatbots (GPTs 기반 문제해결 맞춤형 챗봇 제작 및 수학적 성능 분석)

  • This study presents the development and performance evaluation of a custom GPT-based chatbot tailored to provide solutions following Polya's problem-solving stages. A beta version of the chatbot was initially deployed to assess its mathematical capabilities, followed by iterative error identification and correction, leading to the final version. The completed chatbot demonstrated an accuracy rate of approximately 89.0%, correctly solving an average of 57.8 out of 65 image-based problems from a 6th-grade elementary mathematics textbook, reflecting a 4 percentage point improvement over the beta version. For a subset of 50 problems, where images were not critical for problem resolution, the chatbot achieved an accuracy rate of approximately 91.0%, solving an average of 45.5 problems correctly. Predominant errors included problem recognition issues, particularly with complex or poorly recognizable images, along with concept confusion and comprehension errors. The custom chatbot exhibited superior mathematical performance compared to the general-purpose ChatGPT. Additionally, its solution process can be adapted to various grade levels, facilitating personalized student instruction. The ease of chatbot creation and customization underscores its potential for diverse applications in mathematics education, such as individualized teacher support and personalized student guidance.

  • 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 수업에 연계된 다양한 교과외 학습 활동들은 학습자들의 맞춤형 프로그래밍 학습에 많은 도움이 된다. 본 연구에서는 튜터링, 교수자 중심의 전공스터디, 학생들의 자발적 스터디 모임 등 다양한 형태의 프로그래밍 중심 교과외 학습 활동들이 연계된 프로그래밍 수업의 만족도와 학습 동기 부여에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대해 연구하기 위해, 참여 학생들을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하고 그 결과를 분석해보고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study was to present a methodology for reconstructing the curriculum to provide appropriate music education to students with special needs in inclusive classrooms. This study presents a customizing music curriculum reconstructing model for students with special needs. This model consists of six stages: analyzing students' characteristics and educational needs, analyzing the common music curriculum and basic music curriculum, establishing specified assessment criteria for achievement standards, analyzing the music textbook for the common curriculum and basic curriculum, reorganizing educational activities in music units, and conducting differentiated music instruction. This study presents an example of the customization process and focuses on a creative music activity for students with intellectual disabilities. Recommendations and guidelines for reconstructing the curriculum to best meet the educational needs of students with special needs are provided.

  • As a study of the blended learning method on design education through the blended learning method, I would like to propose that more advanced learner-led customized design education is possible. Understanding in face-to-face classes and advantages in non-face-to-face classes can be supplemented in an appropriate way in remote classes. Advanced artificial intelligence and big data technology can provide personalized and subdivided learning materials and effective learning methods tailored to learners' levels and interests based on quantified data in design classes. In this paper, it was proposed to maximize the efficiency of the class by applying a method that exceeds the limitations of time and space through the proposal of the A La Carte model (A La Carte). It is a remote class that can be heard anytime, anywhere, and it is also possible to bridge the educational quality and educational gap provided to students living in underprivileged areas. As the goal of fostering creative convergence-type future talents, it is changing with a rapid technological development speed. It is necessary to adapt to the change in learning methods in line with this. An analysis of the infographic virtual space design and construction process through the A La Carte model (A La Carte) proposal was presented. Rather than simply acquiring knowledge, it is expected that knowledge can be sorted, distinguished, learned, and easily reborn with its own knowledge.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop verbal interaction analysis program for supporting teaching consultation. For this a class language analysis program was developed to manage analysis results systematically in various angles. The program has following characteristics. First, program users can create the frame of analysis tool freely, so he can analysis a class as a desired. Second, qualitative analysis results as well as quantitative analysis results can be acquired. Third, personalized analysis is available, as users can set program environments freely such as analysis unit time, video player environments, and input and output file type. Finally, it can record and manage activity results according to class consulting procedures systematically. It is expected that this program will allow class consulting to be in place in school fields in more professional way.

  • 본 논문에서는 1년 과정의 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 수업에 참여한 상위 수준 학습자들을 대상으로 맞춤형 학습을 위한 다양한 학습공동체를 운영하였을때 어떤 유형이 상위 학습자들에게 효과적인지를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 동일한 상위 학습자가 튜터로 참여했을 때와 그렇지 않았을 때 성적 변화가 눈에 띄게 나타났으며 이것은 가르치는 활동이 본인의 학습 이해도를 높이는데 얼마나 영향을 미치는지를 보여주고 있다.

The Effects of ARCS Model Based Instruction and Cognitive Style on Learning Motivation and Learning Achievement in Computer Education (전산수업에서 ARCS 모형이 인지양식에 따라 학습동기와 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims at identifying what effect ARCS model based instruction and cognitive style have on learning motivation and achievement in computer education. In order to accomplish this goal. 70 high school students were randomly allocated into the experiment group and the control group. And each group was divided into field-independent group and field-dependent group. The results were as follows. First, post test of learning motivation among four groups showed that mean differences were statistical significant. Especially 'ARCS model based instruction-field independent group got higher score than 'traditional instruction field dependent' group. Second, post test of learning achievement showed no significant mean difference among four group. The result of the pre and post test difference analysis showed that the change scores of means were significantly different.

  • 본 논문에서는 메이커 교육을 기초로 인공지능 챗봇 수업을 개발하였다. 세부적으로 R. M. Gagne(1985)에 9가지 이론을 기초로 정보교과 문제해결과 프로그래밍 단원의 지도안을 작성 후 평가를 제시하였다. 연구 내용 분석 결과 교육현장에서 인공지능 교육의 필요성이 강조되며 확고한 플랫폼 구축(인공지능 플랫폼)과 빅데이터 분석·확보하여 개인 맞춤형 서비스 제공이 필요하다. 본 논문을 토대로 인공지능 교육의 체계적인 연구 활성화에 시발점이 되었으면 한다.
