Analysis of Low Power and Channel Interferences for Zigbee (Zigbee의 저전력화와 채널간섭 분석)

  • The battery consumption and the wireless communication pattern were analyzed for the low power and the improvement of channel interferences between of Zigbee networks and WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network). The communication patterns considering end device's battery saving during channel searching period were analyzed for low power consumption topology of Zigbee dynamic ad-hoc characteristics. And, the communication patterns were analyzed due to channel interferences between WLAN and Random Back off of Zigbee, too. As a result, the communication patterns of Zigbee's coordinator and end devices is alleviated for the longer battery life time of Zigbee's end device due to Zigbee's end device setting techniques.

  • 최근 들어 전력 계통은 점차 복잡해지고 계통의 규모 역시 빠른 속도로 성장하고 있다. 한국전력거래소는 전력계통의 안정적, 경제적 운영을 담당하고 있는 기관으로 '01년 현재의 에너지관리시스템(EMS)를 도입하여 실시간 전력계통에 대한 정확한 판단을 기반으로 전력계통의 안정성과 경제성 확보에 주력하고 있다. EMS의 대표적인 기능은 계통데이터의 수집(SCADA), 자동발전제어(AGC), 계통해석(NA) 등으로 대별되며, 이중 계통해석 기능은 프로그램 규모면에서 가장 큰 부분을 차지하고 있다. 계통해석 기능은 또다시 상태추정(SE), 상정사고분석(CA), 안전도해석(SENH), 고장해석(SCT) 등의 프로그램으로 구성되어 다양한 실시간 계통해석을 수행하게 된다. 전력계통 해석은 먼저 대상계통을 수학적 모델로 정식화하기 전에 계통망의 기하학적 구조를 기술하는 단계가 필요한데 이를 토폴로지 처리라고 하며, 보통 그래프이론인 노트(Node)와 마디(Branch)를 사용하여 전력계통망을 구성하는 요소들의 연결관계를 정의하게 된다. 본고는 이론적 수준을 넘어 EMS의 계통해석 기능에서 실계통을 해석하기 위해 쓰이고 있는 토폴로지 처리의 기본 알고리즘을 분석하여 국내 전력산업 기술 선진화에 기여하고자 한다.

  • A restoration scheme is presented when a failure occurs at nodes or links on the ATM network. Each node on the network contains the same topology information for resources on the network by Exchanging NSE(Network State Element) which has the network state information through RCC(Routing Control Channel). We also propose a new establishing algorithm that set up a new alternate path reflecting the state of the network changed dynamically at the source node. In the result of applying our scheme, the rates of restoration can be improved and the number of messages decreased so that fast recovering could be possible by reducing traffics on the network by lowering the rates of the call-setup failure at the stage of CAC(Connection Admission Control).

  • This paper proposes an algorithm for design of a multiple ring network that can be applied to an arbitrary topology in the WDM optical transport networks. Especially, we suggest an integer linear program(ILP) formulation with the objective of minimizing the total cost of nodes based on the reconfigurable OADM(ROADM) architecture and propose a heuristic algorithm to reduce computational complexity of the exact problem formulation. To evaluate the performance and validity of this scheme, we applied it to an NSFnet topology assuming the dynamic or static traffic condition and compared it with a mesh methodology about capacity of connection requests and the total cost of the nodes.

  • For higher efficiency and reliability of railroad trains with many electronic sensors and actuators, a distributed control system with which electronic components communicate with each other in a distributed manner via a data network is considered. This paper considers Ethernet-based Train Communication Network (TCN) for this purpose and proposes a methodology to optimize the topology in terms of transmission latency and reliability, each of which is modeled as the number of traversing backbone nodes and the number of cables between vehicles, respectively. An objective function is derived accordingly and a closed-form optimum is obtained by relaxing the integer constraint of the number of vehicles for a unit network. Then, the final integer optimum is searched around it. Through numerical evaluation, the validity of the proposed methodology and the characteristics of the resulting solutions are shown.

  • The recent explosion in the Internet applications, Internet. host number and the traffic in the IP backbone network is posing new challenges for transport network. This requires a high-speed IP backbone network that has a substantially higher bandwidth than the one offered by current networks, which prompts the development of all-optical network. To obtain optical network utilization gains, we need a software which establishs logical topology to make possible the efficient use or physical topology, and control the optical network in combination with the IP layer routing protocols. Finally, the logical topology is required higher efficient than physical topology. For this an efficient algorithm for the routing and wavelength assignment(RWA) in the WDM all-optical network is necessary. In this paper, two kinds of heuristic algorithms to establish logical topology for WDM networks and arc applied to the design of logical topology of domestic backbone network. These algorithms are found to work quite well and they arc compared with each other in terms of blocking rate, etc.

Analysis of Network Topology for Distributed Control System in Railroad Trains (철도차량용 분산형 제어시스템을 위한 네트워크 토폴로지 분석)

  • For higher reliability against component failures in railroad trains with many electronic sensors and actuators, a distributed control system with which all electronic components are connected via a network is being considered. This paper compares and analyzes various topologies of Ethernet network for a railroad train in the aspects of (1) failure recovery, (2) the number of ports per device, (3) the number of cable connections between vehicles, and (4) performance. Especially, the unique characteristic of a train system that the number of vehicles changes is considered through analysis. Various combinations of in- and inter-vehicle topologies are considered. In addition, we introduce a hybrid of star and daisy-chain topology for inter-vehicle connection when the maximum number of inter-vehicle connections is limited to reduce possible failures of inter-vehicle connections. Simulation results show performance comparison between different topology combinations; the hybrid topology is shown to enhance delay performance even with a highly limited number of inter-vehicle connections.

  • Recently, many companies try to offer various services using drones. Especially, the drone delivery system is a good example. However, the drone delivery service has some problems since the heavy parcels flies over the people walking down streets, so many things must be considered such as dropping mails by collision of drones. To resolve the problem, in this paper, a inter-drone network communication will be used to design the topology and to simulate in the Opnet simulator for the performance evaluation. Additionally, the topology with random mobility of trajectory of drones is also designed and simulated for the result.

  • 최근 노트북 컴퓨터나 PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)와 칼은 개인 휴대용 통신장비의 사용이 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 매우 동적인 상황에서 이러한 장비들간의 통신은 우선 Ad-Hoc망의 발전을 초래하였다. Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET)은 전통적인 유선 환경과는 달리 무선 송·수신 장치를 가진 무선 이동노드의 집합이며, 동적인 토폴로지, 한정된 대역폭의 가변적인 링크용량, 한정된 에너지라는 특성을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 Ad-Hoc 라우팅 프로토콜 중 Temporally-Ordered Routing Algorithm(Tora)상에서 데이터 트래픽의 성능을 분석하였다. 인터넷 데이터 트래픽 소스로는 CBR(Constant Bit Rate)를 사용하였고, 모의실험 결과 망의 이동성은 라우팅 프로토콜의 트래픽 성능을 분석하는 데 있어서 중요한 요소가 된다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 응용 계층 멀티캐스트 방식을 이용하여 미디어 스트림 데이터를 실시간으로 전송할 수 있는 서비스망을 구현하고자 한다. 일반적으로 IT 멀티캐스팅 서비스를 구현하기 위해서는 멀티캐스팅 라우터를 이용한다. 그러나 멀티캐스팅 라우터를 이용하여 멀티캐스트 서비스를 구현할 때, 사업적, 기술적 측면에서 많은 문제점을 가지게 된다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 애플리케이션 레벨에서 중계 기능을 수행하는 모듈을 이용한다. 기존에 있는 네트웍망을 그대로 이용하면서, 멀티 캐스트 서비스를 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 애플리케이션 레벨 멀티캐스트 서비스를 지원하기 위하여 세션망 가입, 세션망 탈퇴, 각 프로토콜에 대해서 정의한다. 정의된 방식을 이용하여 토폴로지를 형성하고, IT 멀티캐스팅 서비스와 응용 계층 멀티캐스트를 이용 하였을 때 패킷 손실의 차이를 NS2를 이용하여 알아본다.
