  • In this study, we want to check if there are similarities and differences between Chinese students and Korean university students who make up the highest percentage of Korean students studying abroad and see what attributes affect their satisfaction with the use of Internet shopping malls. Based on the results, Chinese students will be able to suggest ways to increase their satisfaction in the process of using local Internet shopping malls and advise companies operating domestic Internet shopping malls on strategies to improve the satisfaction of foreign customers. According to the study, among the system evaluation factors experienced by Korean students and Chinese students when using Internet shopping malls, Korean students showed better information quality than their Chinese counterparts, and Chinese students showed better functionality than their Korean counterparts. Second, among the logistics system evaluation factors Korean and Chinese students experienced when using Internet shopping malls, both speed and delivery quality showed that Korean students were better than Chinese students. Third, when Korean students use local Internet shopping malls, the factors that affect their satisfaction with consumption were found to have significant effects on functionality, delivery quality, response reliability, information quality and speed. Fourth, Chinese students studying abroad showed that functionality, information quality, speediness and response reliability all had a significant impact on satisfaction, except for delivery quality.

  • A reliable detection of regions in radiography is one of the most important task before the evaluation of defects on welded joints. The extracted features is to be classified into distinctive clusters for each segmented region. But conventional segmentation techniques give unsatisfactory results for this task due to the spatial superposition of intensity and low signal-to-ratio(SNR) in radiographic images. The usage of global or local processes not only provide the necessary noise resistance but also fail in classification of regions. In this paper, we presents an appropriate approach for segmentation of region-based indications in industrial Computed Radiography(CR) images. The geometric differences between welded and non-welded area which is generated on radiography as the representative regions(background, thickness, middle and welded region in steel tube image) have constructed the hierarchical structure. Although this structure is contaminated by noise, the scheme between regions can be selected by the help of local clustering based on distinctive geometric property of each region. Because of the geometric nature of the considered region and so that the region is selected layer by layer, and that the real class represents the boundary between regions, the vertical and horizontal clustering process in each layer must be judicious. In order to show the effectiveness of this approach, a comparative experiment of various segmentation method is performed on industrial steel tube CR images.

  • This study explores the status, characteristics and problems of urban-to-rural migration policy in Gyeongbuk Province, and suggests some improvements based on this analysis. Gyeongbuk Province enacted local ordinances related to urban-to-rural migration for the first time in Korea, and has expanded the area of its own projects in addition to the central government's support projects. Consequently, the degree of satisfaction for the support projects in Gyeongbuk Province is higher than in other provinces. Problems of the support projects for urban-to-rural migration are the lack of role sharing between central and lower level local government, and the lack of connectivity among the relevant departments; the non-reflection of regional characteristics and attributes of urban-to-rural migrants (household); and the insufficient satisfaction of policy demands by non-agricultural urban-to-rural migrants. Improvements for these problems include establishing governance that involves urban-to-rural migrants in addition to the existing policy actors, and institutionalizing the project to properly embed this governance in the region. In addition to economic and physical support, diverse programs based on the adaptive cycle, 'non-agricultural rural jobs' for nonagricultural urban-to-rural migrants, and support programs for professional competency enhancement contributing to rural communities should be developed.

  • Purpose: This study conducted an Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) of selective attributes of Home Meal Replacement (HMR) as well as it examined the consumers' needs and willingness to buy HMR products to explore the need for developing more HMR products. Methods: This study was conducted among domestic consumers living in Seoul and its metropolitan areas, in the age range from the 20s to the 50s, and who had experience in purchasing HMR products. From the 490 surveys retrieved, 472 (96.3%) valid surveys were analyzed. Results: The analysis of the frequency of consuming HMR products showed the following results: 247 respondents answered '1-3 times a month' (52.3%); 167 respondents stated '1-2 times a week' (35.3%). With respect to the reason of purchase, 'simplicity of the recipe' was the most common, accounting for 188 respondents (39.8%), followed by 'time efficiency' accounting for 172 respondents (36.4%). Analysis of the demand for bibimbap (mixed rice) HMR products showed that 'chicken bibimbap' had the highest preference with 5.32 points, followed by 'bulgogi bibimbap' (5.08 points), and 'kimchi bibimbap' (4.96 points). In the case of HMR products that need to undergo further development, 'low-sodium products' received the highest points of 5.41 points, followed by 'small packaged products' (5.05 points), and 'functional products' (4.98 points). The factor analysis of the 13 selective attributes showed that they can be divided into 3 factors. The IPA analysis of the selective attributes of HMRs showed 'hygiene', 'taste', 'easy to go packaging', 'convenience in intake', and 'accessibility' in the 1st quadrant. In the 2nd quadrant, 'price' and 'freshness' were shown as the factors. In the 3rd quadrant, 'easy to serve', 'familiar food menu', and 'consistent menu' were shown as the leading factors, and in the 4th quadrant, 'saving labor' was the only factor. • The purpose of this study was to analyze how consumers make links between convenience meat products and self-relevant consequences and value. Surveys on convenience meat product consumption patterns and hard laddering based on means-end chain theory were conducted from April 21 to April 25, 2014 and targeted 200 consumers in the US. The most preferred cooking method of convenience meat product was roast (25.9%) and the most common information medium was suggestions by friends and parents (37.1%). The main as well as desired places of purchasing were both the supermarket (33.6% and 27.3%, respectively). The most preferred promotion method was free sample events (38.5%). From analyzing means-end chains of convenience meat products, the most dominant value chain was 'taste (A)'-'good taste (C)'-'feel good (V)'. These results show that consumption of convenience meat products will increase when consumer expectations of taste and satisfaction are met. Further, results of the value measurement provide information on consumer satisfaction and needs and can be applied to set marketing strategies for Korean style convenience meat products.

  • In this paper, we propose a MapReduce-supported clustering technique for collecting and classifying distributed workflow enactment event logs as a preprocessing tool. Especially, we would call the distributed workflow enactment event logs as Workflow BIG-Logs, because they are satisfied with as well as well-fitted to the 5V properties of BIG-Data like Volume, Velocity, Variety, Veracity and Value. The clustering technique we develop in this paper is intentionally devised for the preprocessing phase of a specific workflow process mining and analysis algorithm based upon the workflow BIG-Logs. In other words, It uses the Map-Reduce framework as a Workflow BIG-Logs processing platform, it supports the IEEE XES standard data format, and it is eventually dedicated for the preprocessing phase of the ${\rho}$-Algorithm that is a typical workflow process mining algorithm based on the structured information control nets. More precisely, The Workflow BIG-Logs can be classified into two types: of activity-based clustering patterns and performer-based clustering patterns, and we try to implement an activity-based clustering pattern algorithm based upon the Map-Reduce framework. Finally, we try to verify the proposed clustering technique by carrying out an experimental study on the workflow enactment event log dataset released by the BPI Challenges.
