This study is to investigate the current use of POS system in Korean clothing industry, so that we can make suggestions for better use of it. We interviewd companies using POS systems as well as EAN Korea which is in charge of POS data processing. As a results. we found out that standard KAN code has severe difficulties to cope with the diversity of the information which is necessary in clothing industry. Therefore we are making some suggestions to use KAN code as a recognizing code for more structured master data file for extremely diverse clothing items.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the insertion depth of several brands of master gutta percha cones after shaping by various Ni-Ti rotary files in simulated canals. Fifty resin simulated J-shape canals were instrumented with ProFile, ProTaper and HEROShaper. Simulated canals were prepared with ProFile .04 taper #25(n=10), .06 taper #25(n=10), ProTaper F2(n=10), HEROShaper .04 taper #25(n=10) and .06 taper #25(n=10). Size #25 gutta percha cones with a .04 & .06 taper from three different brands were used: DiaDent; META; Sure-endo. The gutta percha cones were selected and inserted into the prepared simulated canals. The distance from the apex of the prepared canal to the gutta percha cone tip was measured by image analysis program. Within limited data of this study, the results were as follows 1. When the simulated root canals were prepared with HEROShaper, gutta-percha cones were closely adapted to the root canal. 2. All brands of gutta percha cones fail to go to the prepared length in canal which was instrumented with ProFile, the cones extend beyond the prepared length in canal which was prepared with ProTaper. 3. In canal which was instrumented with HEROShaper .04 taper #25, Sure-endo .04 taper master gutta percha cone was well fitted(p < 0.05). 4. In canal which was instrumented with HEROShaper .06 taper #25, META .06 taper master gutta percha cone was well fitted(p < 0.05). As a result, we concluded that the insertion depth of all brands of master gutta percha cone do not match the rotary instrument, even though it was prepared by crown-down technique, as recommended by the manufacturer. Therefore, the master cone should be carefully selected to match the depth of the prepared canal for adequate obturation.
In order to detect driver's state in a driver safety system, both overt and covert measures such as driving performance, visual attention, physiological arousal and traffic situation should be collected and interpreted in the driving context. In this paper, we suggest a vehicle monitoring system that provides multimodal information on a broad set of measures simultaneously collected from multiple domains including driver, vehicle and road environment using an elaborate timer equipped as a soft synchronization mechanism. Using a master timer that records key values from various modules with the same master time of short and precise interval, the monitoring system provides more accurate context awareness through synchronized data at any given time. This paper also discusses the data collected from nine young drivers performing a cognitive secondary task through this system while driving.

Recently, fieldbus communication technologies have been widely deployed for industrial automation because they are profitable in providing easy system integration and management for multiple devices, as well as high-speed communication. It is essential for smart encoders to support fieldbus connectivity, where the device configuration and various types of information related to position are exchanged between an external controller and multiple encoders over the communication link. In this study, we implemented the CiA 406 device profile for smart encoders from the CANopen standards by extending an open-source CANopen standard-compliant framework, called CanFestival. The CiA 406 functionalities implemented in this study were validated on a test-bed consisting of a CANopen master and virtual CANopen encoders with our CiA 406 extension module.
This paper proposes the DDMPF(Distributed Data Management Protocol using FAT) which prevents data loss and keeps the security of self-organized storages by comprising a client, a storage server, and a verification server in clouding environment. The DDMPF builds a self-organized storage server, solves data loss by decentralizing the partitioned data in it in contrast to the centralized problem and the data loss caused by the storage server problems of existing clouding storages, and improves the efficiency of distributed data management with FAT(File Allocation Table). And, the DDMPF improves the reliability of data by a verification server's verifying the data integrity of a storage server, and strengthens the security in double encryption with a client's private key and the system's master key using EC-DH algorithm. Additionally, the DDMPF limits the number of verification servers and detects the flooding attack by setting the TS(Time Stamp) for a verification request message and the replay attack by using the nonce value generated newly, whenever the verification is requested.
A vacuum pressure-difference technique for making a nano-precision replica is investigated for various applications. Master patterns for replication were fabricated using a nano-replication printing (nRP) process. In the nRP process, any picture and pattern can be replicated from a bitmap figure file in the range of several micrometers with resolution of 200nm. A liquid-state monomer is solidified by two-photon absorption (TPA) induced by a femto-second laser according to a voxel matrix scanning. After polymerization, the remaining monomers were removed simply by using ethanol droplets. And then, a gold metal layer of about 30nm thickness was deposited on the fabricated master patterns prior to polydimethylsiloxane molding for preventing bonding between the master and the polydimethylsiloxane mold. A few gold particles attached on the polydimethylsiloxane stamp during detaching process were removed by a gold selecting etchant. After fabricating the polydimethylsiloxane mold, a nano-precision polydimethylsiloxane replica was reproduced. More precise replica was produced by the vacuum pressure-difference technique that is proposed in this paper. Through this study, direct patterning on a glass plate, replicating a polydimethylsiloxane mold, and reproducing polydimethylsiloxane replica are demonstrated with a vacuum pressure-difference technique for various micro/nano-applications.

This study intends to develop a new duplicate detection algorithm to improve database quality. The new algorithm is developed to analyze by variables of language and bibliographic type, and it checks elements in bibliographic data not just MARC fields. The algorithm computes the degree of similarity and the weight values to avoid possible elimination of records by simple input error. The study was peformed on the 7,649 newly uploaded records during the last one year against the 210,000 sample master database. The findings show that the new algorithm has improved the duplicates recall rate by 36.2%.
This paper describes an algorithm that calculates Absolute Sound Level (ASL) for contents platform. ASL is a single volume representing individual sound sources and is a concept designed to integrate and utilize the sound level units in digital sound source and physical domain from a speaker in practical areas. For this concept to be used in content platforms and others, it is necessary to automatically derive the ASL without having to go through a hearing of mastering engineers. The key parameters of which a person recognizes the representative sound level of an individual single sound source are the areas of "frequency, maximum energy, energy variation coefficient, and perceived energy distribution," and the ASL was calculated through the normalizing of the weights.

Cloud computing has been receiving increasing attention recently. Despite this attention, security is the main problem that still needs to be addressed for cloud computing. In general, a cloud computing environment protects data by using distributed servers for data storage. When the amount of data is too high, however, different pieces of a secret key (if used) may be divided among hundreds of distributed servers. Thus, the management of a distributed server may be very difficult simply in terms of its authentication, encryption, and decryption processes, which incur vast overheads. In this paper, we proposed a efficiently data storage and recovery scheme using XOR and RAID in Hadoop environment.

This paper presents a study on the helical gear inspection system for application to vehicle transmission gear manufacturing lines. The special gear profile inspection system is not suitable for manufacturing lines due to the measuring time. The master gear method, which was used in this study and compared with the machined gear in the line, is more efficient and economical. In this paper, three helical gear inspection parameters were of concern: nick, run-out, and PCD (pitch circle diameter) error. To evaluate its influence on the accuracy, the gear measuring system was also studied. This system can be useful in practical vehicle transmission gear manufacturing lines, where imported equipment is currently being used.
