On the Existence of the (2,1) Mother Code of (n,n-1) Convolutional Code ((n,n-1) 길쌈부호에 대한 (2,1) 마더부호의 존재)

  • The rate of the channel code can be controlled by various methods. Puncturing is one of the methods of increasing the code rate, and the original code before puncturing is called the mother code. Any (n,k) convolutional code is obtainable by puncturing some mother codes, and the process of finding the mother code is necessary for designing the optimum channel decoder. In this paper, we proved that any (n,n-1) convolutional code has (2,1) mother codes regardless of the puncturing pattern and showed that they must be equivalent.

  • Puncturing is the most common way of increasing the rate of convolutional codes. The puncturing process is done to the original code called the mother code by a specific puncturing pattern. In this article, we investigate into the question whether any convolutional code is obtainable by puncturing some (n, 1) mother codes. We present two sufficient conditions for the mother code and the puncturing pattern to satisfy in order that the punctured code is equivalent to the given (N, K) convolutional code.

  • If we look into genre movie, we can see that almost similar forms are repeated in a movie. Such similar elements are largely divided into three units from a mass of story to a very small camera angle. Those can be explained as Formula, Convention, and Iconography. Among those three, convention means custom and it is a structure or an incident in which one story can be divided into second one. Convention is an incident visualized in individual genre, and a movie director tunes audiences through the incident. The director leads a familiar story but all of a sudden, he transforms the familiar scene to a new story. As a product established from the beginning of movie history, movie convention helps communication between audiences and a director. Audiences familiarize themselves with movie convention through repeated activities of watching movies, and the director utilizes it to provide audiences with familiarity. Director Bong Joon-ho not only tunes audiences through traditional convention but also creates a new art work through transformation of convention. A study is conducted on how he used traditional convention and transformation to get a new idea and to engage in his work through his work .

  • Colors in the film can communicate with the audiences without a dialogue as deep as possible, and then colors make a audiences sympathy as a role playing like a main character. The movie that I chosen by this thesis is The mother(UK film, 2003). This movie is so powerful imagetelling movie I've ever seen in the meaning of tool as a character-narrative film. This imagetelling in the movie is so useful and powerful, and then image is more important than any other things in the movie as a narrative tool and storytelling.

  • This paper deals with multiresolution analysis of wavelet transform for partial discharge(PD), composite discharge(corona + surlace discharge). Multiresolution analysis was used for performing discrete wavelet transform PD signals was decomposed into "approximation" and "detail" cOmpJnents until 4 levels by using discrete wavelet analysis. In this paper, daubechies family is adopted for the research of the characteristics of PD signals. 1be results show that in corona discharge the segment 7, 8, 9, 10, 1] values of defined variable is increased with discharge process, so phase distribution is characterized by 210~330 ranges. In case surface discharge in expoxy insulator inserted, defined variable values is fairly symmetric chscharge pattern because coupled both corona and dielectric oounded discharges. We can confimJly discriminate the type of PD source.

  • 전통적인 FT(Fourier Transform)의 대안으로 scale과 shift에 의한 WT(Wavelet Transform)이 제안되어, 전력계통의 각 분야에 적당한 Mother Wavelet 선택에 대한 연구가 시도되고 있다. 본 논문은 발전기 고정자 사고의 경우 고장판별을 위하여 적당한 마더 웨이브릿을 선정할 수 있는 알고리즘에 관한 것이다. ATP 시뮬레이션으로부터 수집한 전류데이터를 이용하여 제안된 적당한 선정기법의 유효성을 증명하였다.

A Study on the Color Images of the Films "Thirst" and "Mother" - With a Focus on Costumes and Background - (영화 <박쥐>, <마더>의 색채 이미지 연구 - 의상과 배경을 중심으로 -)

  • This study investigated the colors of the costumes and backgrounds of characters in the films "Thirst" and "Mother" from an integrated perspective. As a study method, ten scenes per film, which contained the characters and backgrounds from the start to the end of the DVDs of "Thirst" and "Mother" were examined. For integrated color analysis of the costumes and backgrounds, the colors of the captured scenes were simplified to extract representative colors, and then color palettes were presented according to the ratio of area. The colors of costumes were analyzed by recognition through the eyes based on the I.R.I. Hue and Tone 120. Furthermore, the color images of the two films were analyzed using the I.R.I. adjective image scales and the I.R.I. color image scales. The colors of the film "Thirst" were generally low in brightness and high in chroma. They are characterized by dark, gloomy toned-down background in the first half, highly chromatic vivid background in the second half, and the contrast of purple blue colors and red colors. The colors of the film "Mother" are characterized by complementary colors between background and costume colors, and various tones of blue and green colors. From the aspect of color tones, they were relatively high in brightness compared to the film "Thirst" but low in chroma. On the I.R.I. adjective image scale, contrasting adjectives were extracted simultaneously from the film "Thirst" as the adjectives were evenly distributed at hard, dynamic and static, whereas the adjectives extracted from the film "Mother" were distributed at hard and statistic. On the I.R.I. color image scale, both films were located at hard, but the film "Thirst" was located at dynamic whereas the film "Mother" was located at static.

  • 미쓰비시전기는 제3세대 16비트 D램을 비롯한 0.4$\mu$m이하의 디자인룰을 갖는 ULSI를 대상으로, 직경 200mm웨이퍼 프로세스기술을 포함한 제조기술을 개발하여, 일본 국내, 대만, 독일에 양산공장을 전개하였다. 생산성이 우수한 디바이스/프로세스기술을 기반으로 저비용의 청정실 건설, 급수 등을 포함한 동력설비, 공장 자동화(FA), 컴퓨터제어식 제조공정(CIM), 북이단지구에있는 미쓰비시전기의 반도ㅔ개발거점과 각 공장간을 맺는 정보네트워크, 나아가 제조장치에 대한 철저한 저발진화와 결함관리를 위해 동사의 기술을 결집하여 생산성이 매우 높은 반도체양산공장을 글로벌하게 전개하였다. 우선 태본공장 최첨단 반도체라인(KD동)을 아주 짧은 기간에 가동시키는 소위 ''수직기동''을 실현하였다. 다음에 태본공장 KD동을 ''마더(Mother)공장''으로 하여 그대로 기술이전하는 ''Copy Exactly''라는 방법으로 이들 기술을 세계적으로 전개한 결과 대만에 있는 합병회사인 PS(Powerchip Semiconductor corporation)와 독일에 있는 생산회사 MSE(Mitsubishi Semiconducter Europe, GmbH)에서도 최첨단 반도체공장의 수직기동에 성공하였다. 이 공장은 0.25$\mu$m이후의 제품에도 대응가능하며 태본공장 KD동은 64M비트 D램으로 제품을 전환해가고 있다. 그렇게 하여 이들 공장과 개발거점을 네트워크호하여 다국적 기업에 걸맞는 세계적인 ULSI의 양산체제를 구축하였다.
