  • We have introduced switching poles in the conventional electrolysis for the removal of ammonia in aquaculture wastewater to prevent the fouling on the electrode surface by the deposition of insoluble metallic compounds. We have also tried to locate the optimal period of switching poles considering the effect of the current loss during switching poles on the free chlorine generation. First, we have observed the decrease of free chlorine generation with the decrease of the period of switching poles due to the expected current loss, and this would lead to the decrease of ammonia removal efficiency. Meanwhile, the measurement of calcium and magnesium concentration in wastewater vs. the period of switching poles have demonstrated that a properly low level of fouling on the electrode surface could be retained with a period of switching poles of less than 60 sec by the decomposition of metallic compounds during switching poles. In a summary, we have optimized the period of switching poles to gain a high level of free chlorine generation and a high level of fouling prevention on the electrode at the same time.

  • It is necessary for what just keep a living body balance be devoted to it being varied with acidity serious trouble, and constitution of a study person about the density (ph) change that an alkaline ion necessary for a living body is numerical to supply a human body with number alkali by PWM voltage control. Works in the water which included the calcium (Ca), kalium (K), magnesium (Mg), natrium (Na) back who is helpful for a human body, and there is Alkaline. It is done this alkaline electrolysis to ask in order to create a number, and minerals are gathered through isolated layer (isolated special layer) to a - electrode direction, and is created. of course, prominent derelicts gather, and the acidity capital is happened, and -ion of a chlorine (Cl), phosphorus(P), sulfur (S) back is usable unfavorably in water of different use to a + electrode direction. Microprocessor was used with a - pole and a + pole with a PWM(pulse width modulation) voltage in this electrolysis process, and four kinds of PWM voltages were implemented, and a voltage every ph density change tried to be considered. It is expected by getting exactly if number alkaline ion of ph density value necessary is done with setting value if PWM control is used thus.

  • Casein is a milk protein and one of the most important nutrients in milk. The composition is over 80% in cow's milk and about 20~45% in human's milk. Casein is highly biocompatible and biodegradable, so it has been studied for various biomedical materials applications as well as drug delivery systems. It is widely known that casein can be prepared as nanoparticles in the presence of the Ca2+ metal ion. Because casein is amphiphilic, hydrophobic drugs could be loaded inside to form a protein-based drug delivery system. In this study, we studied the optimum conditions for casein nanoparticle formation using natural metal ions present in the body, such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, and iron. It was confirmed that nanoparticles have a uniform size of around 150 nm and negative zeta potential values. In addition, it was demonstrated that casein nanoparticles have a cell viability of more than 80% and efficient intracellular uptake properties using confocal microscopy. From the results, it was also shown that the casein nanoparticles prepared using various metal ions have the potential to be biocompatible drug delivery carriers.

  • Electrodialysis (ED) is essential in separating ions through an ion exchange membrane. The disposal of brine generated from seawater desalination is a primary environmental concern, and its recycling through membrane separation technology is highly efficient. Alkali is produced by several chemical industries such as leather, electroplating, dyeing, and smelting, etc. A high concentration of alkali in the waste needs treatment before releasing into the environment as it is highly corrosive and has a chemical oxygen demand (COD) value. The concentration of calcium and magnesium is almost double in brine and is the perfect candidate for carbon dioxide adsorption, a major environmental pollutant. Sodium hydroxide is essential for the metal carbonation process which, is easily produced by the bipolar membrane electrodialysis process. Various strategies are available for its recovery, like reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration (NF), ultrafiltration (UF), and ED. This review discusses the ED process by ion exchange membrane for alkali recovery are discussed.

  • Magnesium is one of the abundant natural resources in the earth crust and seawater, which is directly related to various organisms activities interconnecting with water-rock system. In aqueous system, magnesium is known to predominantly exist in the form of $Mg^{2+}$ ion which is verified in its $E_h-pH$ diagram. When it is at equilibrium in aqueous system, temperature takes an essential role to complete equilibrium states. This study represents the change of the stable region of magnesium ion according to temperature, and how the consequences would affect aquatic organisms. It was revealed that there is a noticeable tendency shrinking the stable region of magnesium ion in a diagram as temperature increases, and as a result, aquatic bio-species presumably have difficulties to absorb the nutrient. Also, it was considered that the water system would be acidified by decreasing alkalinity.

  • For increasing Productivity of Nutri-irrigation culture used liquified fertilizer in sandy land, the effect of Ca etc. on growth and roat system of crop (radish) was studied. Results are as follows. 1) High level of Ca in irrigated nutrient solution promoted growth of radish, especially, growth of underground part and increased yield on sand media than low level of Ca. 2) High level of cation promoted also growth of radish compared with control though less than high level of Ca do. 3) Promoted growth in high level of Ca and cation acompanied larger attachment of sand grain to root system making good condition for absorption. 4) Higher content of Ca in fibrous roots and attached sand grains compared with thickend root and other sand media (especially, in higher level of Ca), suggest a specific roll of Ca on the in teraction between roots and media constituting a root environment for productivity. 5) The content of Ca, Mg, Mn, in tops are manifestly higher than underground part while no dislinct differences are found between tops and underground parts in N.P.K.

  • this study we analyzed and improved an experiment measuring chemical reaction rates introduced in the high school science textbooks through an understanding of the phenomena observed in carrying out the experiment. For this purpose, the contents of textbooks related to the experiment were analyzed, and the problems observed in carrying out the experiment were addressed through experimental analysis. When the experiment was carried out by the method of aquatic transposition presented in textbooks, the observed volume change of H2 gas was delayed and chemical reaction rate was increased in the early stage of reaction period. To resolve these problems, an improved method for measuring the reaction rates was suggested. In the improved experiment the reaction rate was measured to be constant on time, which was interpreted in terms of the concentration of H+ and the surface area of magnesium.

  • The properties of the deposited film depend on the deposition condition and these, in turn depend critically on the morphology and crystal orientation of the films. Therefore, it is important to clarify the nucleation occurrence and growth stage of the morphology and orientation of the film affected by deposition parameters, e.g. the gas pressure and bias voltage etc. In this work, magnesium thin flims were prepared on cold-rolled steel substrates by a thermo-eletron activation ion plating technique. The influence of nitrogen gas pressure and substrate bias voltage on their crystal orientation and morphology of the coated films were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction, respectively. The diffraction peaks of magnesium film became less sharp and broadened with the increase of nitrogen gas pressure. With an increase in nitrogen gas pressure, flim morphology changed from colum nar to granular structure, and surface crystal grain-size decreased. The morphology of films depended not only on gas pressure but also on bias voltage, i.e., the effect of increasing bias voltage was similar to that of decreasing gas pressure. The effect of crystal orientation and morphology of magnesium films on corrosion behaviors was estimated by measuring anodic polarization curves in deaerated 3%NaCl solution. Magnesium, in general, has not a good corrosion resistance in all environments. However, these magnesium films prepared by changing nitrogen gas pressure showed good corrosion resistance. Among the films, magnesium films which exhibited granular structure had the highest corrosion resistance. The above phenomena can be explained by applying the effects of adsorption, occlusion and ion sputter of nitrogen gas.
