바이모달 트램용 리튬폴리머전지팩에 대한 열유동해석

  • The series hybrid propulsion system in bimodal tram consists of CNG engine, generator, inverter, motor and battery as main components. Among them, battery is very important thing to make a hybrid bimodal tram more efficient in driving. Battery pack is composed of 168 LPB(lithium polymer battery) cells, 650Vdc-300A. LPB should be treated with a good consideration in both temperature and overvoltage. This paper had analyzed and investigated the thermal flow and distribution of LPB module(l4 LPB cells) and Pack in simulated environments by commercial thermal analysis tool.

  • In this work, a gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) was prepared using polyoxyalkylene glycol acrylate (POAGA) as a macromonomer LiCoO$_2$/GPE/graphite cells were prepared and their electrochemical properties were evaluated at various current densities and temperatures. The ionic conductivity of the GPE was more than 6.2${\times}$10$^{-3}$ S$.$$cm^{-1}$ / at room temperature. The GPE had good electrochemical stability up to 4.5 V vs. Li/Li$^{+}$. POAGA-based cells were showed good electrochemical performances such as rate capability, low-temperature performance, and cycleability. The cells, also, passed a safety test such as the overcharge and nail-penetration test.t.

  • $LiFePO_4$ is a potential candidate for the cathode material of the lithium polymer batteries. $LiFePO_4$ cathode active materials were synthesized by coating on the $LiFePO_4$ was tried using $TiO_2$ and corbon in oreder to increase cyclic performance and electronic conductivity. Highly dispersed on the particles enhances the electronic conductivity and increases the capacity. For lithium polymer battery applications, $LiFePO_4$/SPE/Li and $LiFePO_4$-$TiO_2$/SPE/Li 'cells were characterized electrochemically by cyclic volatammetry and charge/discharge cycling. The $LiFePO_4$-carbon-$TiO_2$ cathode in PVDF-PC-EC-$LiCIO_4$ electrolyte showed high capacity at high current density.

  • The purpose of this study is to research and develop tin oxide-flash composite for lithium Ion polymer battery. Tin oxide is one of the promising material as a electrode active material for lithium Ion polymer battery (LIPB). Tin-based oxides have theoretical volumetric and gravimetric capacities that are four and two times that of carbon, respectively. We investigated cyclic voltammetry and charge/discharge cycling of SnO-flyash/SPE/Li cells. The first discharge capacity of SnO-flyash composite anode was 720 mAh/g. The discharge capacity of SnO-flyash composite anode 412 and 314 mAh/g at cycle 2 and 10 at room temperature, respectively. The SnO-flyash composite anode with PVDF-PMMA-PC-EC-$LiClO_4$ electrolyte showed good capacity with cycling.

  • The purpose of this study is to research and develop $LiFe_xMn_{1-x}PO_4$ cathode for lithium polymer batteries. $LiFe_xMn_{1-x}PO_4$ cathode active materials were prepared using a solid-state reaction by adding carbon black to the synthetic precursors. We investigated cyclic voltammetry and charge/discharge cycling of $LiFe_xMn_{1-x}PO_4$/SPE/Li cells. The discharge capacity of $LiFe_{0.5}Mn_{0.5}PO_4$ was l26mAh/g and 110mAh/g at 1st and 10th cycle.

  • A fuel cell/secondary battery hybrid power generation system could extend well beyond the efficiency and interoperability of the conventional diesel generator. The suggested power source system consists of 2.3 kW class PEMFC, 100 Ah lithium polymer battery, and two DC/DC converters by serial connection type. It was known that interoperability of sub-systems is the key factor for stable and optimal control of the hybrid power generation system. The modeling and simulation methods have been proposed to reduce the number of configurations and performance tests for components selection and select the optimized control condition of the power generation system. The control model for power source system is implemented based on the empirical formulation and carried out in the Matlab/Simulink environment. The results show that the simulation can be used to establish the algorism of prototype and increase the durability of the power source system.

  • One of the most important devices in an underwater vessel is a propulsion system. It should be a quiet and efficient system for stealthy operations in the large mission area. Hence lead-acid battery system has been used to supply the energy to electric motor. Recent technological developments and improvements, such as polymer electrolyte membrane(PEM) fuel cell and lithium polymer battery and have created the potential to improve overall power and propulsion performance. An underwater vessel always starts their mission with a limited energy and is not easy to refuel. Therefore design of energy elements, such as fuel cell and battery, and their load distribution are important to increase the maximum operating time of underwater vessel. In this paper, the lead-acid battery/PEM fuel cell and lithium polymer battery/PEM fuel cell were suggested as propulsion system and their performances were analyzed by modeling and simulation using Matlab/Simulink. Each model concentrated on representing the characteristics of energy element depending on demand current. As a result the effect of load distribution between battery and fuel cell was evaluated and the operation time of each propulsion system was able to be estimated exactly.

Organic Clay가 첨가된 고분자 복합 전해질의 제조 및 전기화학적 성질 (Preparation and Electrochemical Properties of Polymeric Composite Electrolytes Containing Organic Clay Materials)

  • 본 연구에서는 poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), 가소제인 ethylene carbonate(EC), 리튬염인 $LiClO_4$ 그리고 $Na^+-MMT/organic$ MMT를 이용하여 고분자/층상 실리카 나노복합재료(polymer/(layered silicate) nanocomposites, PLSN)를 제조하였으며, organic MMT의 첨가에 따른 고분자 매트릭스에 미치는 영향을 이온전도도를 통하여 관찰하였다. 리튬전지의 전해질로서의 응용을 위해, $Na^+$를 양이온으로 갖는 순수한 MMT($Na^+-MMT$)를 유기화한 nanoclay(organic-MMT)를 사용하였다. 그 결과, 층간 거리 및 소수성이 증가하며 이와 같은 특성은 PEO와의 나노복합체를 형성할 때 MMT의 박리 거동에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 이온전도도에서는 organic MMT가 순수한 $Na^+-MMT$보다 우수함을 나타내었으며, methyl dihydrogenated tallow ammonium으로 개질된 MMT(MMT-2OA)를 첨가하였을 때 가장 높은 이온전도도를 보였다.

전자선 조사에 의한 리튬 이차전지용 상용 폴리에틸렌 분리막의 내열성 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Thermal Stability of a Commercial Polyethylene Separator for Lithium Secondary Battery by an Electron Beam Irradiation)

  • 본 연구에서는 리튬이차전지용 상용 분리막에 전자선을 조사하여 가교구조를 지닌 내열성이 향상된 분리막을 제조하였고 조사선량에 의한 열적, 기계적 특성들을 평가하였다. 전자선 조사된 분리막의 열수축률은 조사선량이 증가할수록 감소하였고 AC impedance를 이용한 shutdown거동 연구 결과 전자선 조사를 하지 않은 분리막보다 우수한 shutdown 특성을 갖는 것으로 확인하였다. 또한, 전자선 조사선량이 증가할수록 분리막의 모듈러스는 향상되는 반면 인장강도와 파단 연신율은 감소됨이 관찰되었다.

  • Phospho-olivine $LiFePO_4$ and $LiTi_{0.1}Fe_{0.9}PO_4$ cathode materials were prepared by the solid-state reaction. To improve conductivity we carried out electrochemical performance of $Ti^{2+}$ doped $LiFePO_4$. The $Ti^{2+}$ doped $LiFePO_4$ started 3.36 V of flat voltage on discharge curve and showed a gentle decline in the curve compared to undoped $LiFePO_4$ without great changes of capacity. And so, we could achieve to improve electrochemical performance as reversible, cycle life. Similarly, $LiFePO_4$ doping with $Ti^{2+}$ was showed the effect of dopant which was obtained the improved discharge capacity as 140 mAh/g and good cycling performance.
