The remodeling of long-tern public rental housing (LPRH) have been acknowledged followed by the introduction of th Act of the Life Quality Improvement of the Residents in Long-tern Public Housing. Likewise, the feasible direction of LPRH remodeling should be discussed in order to improve the quality of life of the dwellers and housing facilities. Therefore a purpose of this study is to suggest the remodeling types for increasing their quality of life with regard to sustainability of remodeling. To do so this study employs various cases of public housing remodeling from the UK, France and USA and performed quantitative research that was subject to the residents in 9 LPRH in Seoul and Gyeong-gi. The findings of the analysis demonstrate that comprehensive and sustainable remodeling considering both physical and social environment factors are needed, and that the residents have needs of improvement of deteriorated facilities and negative perception of the public on LPRH. With regard to this, seven types of the LPRH remodeling types are drawn on the combination between physical and social environment factors. Thus it is expected that the types will ultimately be able to increase of the quality of the life of the residents and guarantee sustainable remodeling.

The purpose of this study is to provide the technical methods of apartment remodeling. To gather information, a survey of the technical methods of apartment remodeling in domestic and foreign was conducted. As a case study, three types will be applicable to apartment remodeling： Horizontally expanding remodeling, combining remodeling, conversion remodeling. The results of the study are as follows： 1. Horizontally expanding remodeling type will be applied the dry construction and anchor pile foundation at skeleton and the double flooring at infill. 2. Combining remodeling type will be applied the dry wall construction in order to establish or remove the partition walls. 3. Conversion remodeling type will be applied that converting building equipments and interior finish materials conversion of old to new materials.

주택 리모델링 소비자의 심리 및 형태에 따라서 선호하는 주택 리모델링 유형이 다를 수 있음을 가설로 하여, 서울특별시 및 수도권 거주자를 대상으로한 설문조사와 심리 및 형태조사를 실시하였다. 심리조사는 MBTI 항목에 대한 개별 기입하도록 하고, 설문조사로 회수된 결과데이타는 SPSS-WIN 소프트웨어를 사용하여, 빈도, 분포도, 분야분석, 인자분석을 하여 유의성이 있는 것에 대해 분석하였다. 외향형(E)과 내향형(I)은 리모델링 중요도가 세부항목에 따른 유의차가 분석되었고, 직관형(N)은 감각형(S)에 비교할 때 감정형(F)은 사고형(T)에 비교할 때 판단형(J)은 인식형(P)에 비교할 때 전반적인 리모델링 중요도를 중시하는 것으로 분석되었다.

As family types have been diverse, patterns of living and living space became diverse as much as users are. Therefore, it is needed to provide various remodeled design of living space corresponding to changes of users'living patterns, and to provide these remodeling process to users directly on the web. In this paper, use scenario for the Internet-based Virtual Apartment Remodeling Simulator is researched as an export system to remodel space in accordance with users diverse lifestyle paradigm and the website is developed. The study consists of four parts. First, the general concept of remodeling, including the range and types of remodeling, are defined, and the misleading terms in this field are reviewed and organized by secondary research Second, fixed factors and variable factors are differentiated in the complex building for residence and business that was decided as a basic building type in this study. Third, there needed a database for consulting, final material, pre-estimation real estimation for simulation of remodeling. This database was introduced along with floor plan and elevation. Finally, the remodeling simulator is presented by the case study developed on the web. The system structure and use scenario are also presented. In order to present and inspect design alternatives, prototype was produced. The Final simulator was enhanced by defeating problems regarding interface efficiency and missing information of existing online site.

The number of military facilities has been rapidly increased due to growing requirement of modernization and military welfare. However, adequate maintenance has not implemented to these facilities. As a result, they are deteriorated quickly and require performance enhancement treatments. There are two ways of performance enhancement, reconstruction and remodeling. Despite the research result that remodeling within the standard remodeling range is more economical, remodeling of military facilities is not considered equivalent to reconstruction as an option of performance improvement. Therefore, derived from the relationship between performance change during life cycle of building and range of remodeling needs, this study tries to propose Remodeling Process Model(RPM) which uses a method to choose remodeling in a Specific Point of Time(SPT) when remodeling is considered more economical than reconstruction. In addition, this study suggests practical service life and functionality evaluation standard together which require to realize the RPM. This RPM make it possible to avoid the cases that facilities which do not have any problem on structural reliability but have low level of functionality miss appropriate remodeling timing and inevitably choose reconstruction as a performance improvement option. It also present the possibility of simple reconstruction / remodeling decision-making for facility managers who administrate building having various type, compilation and elapsed time. Consequently, this process model focusing on remodeling more may contribute to reduce resource waste caused by reconstruction.

충청남도 서해안은 생태환경의 보고로서 갯벌, 사구, 해안습지 등 독특한 자연적 특성을 갖고 있는 지역이다. 그러나 다른 지역에 비해 대규모 간척 및 매립으로 인한 해양생태계 피해에 현저히 노출되어 있으며, 서해안 지역은 최근 산업화 및 관광권화가 진행되며 무분별하게 설치된 호안구조물은 그 기능을 상실하여 상당수가 설치전보다 오히려 서해안의 독특한 환경성과 관광성을 악화시키고 있어 서해안 특성을 고려한 대책이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 서해안의 특성을 고려한 환경친화적 연안 호안구조물 리모델링을 위해 서해안의 침식특성에 대하여 분석하고자 한다. 분석 방법은 충청남도 서해안의 4개 시 군 29개 지점을 대상으로 1년여에 걸쳐 수행된 현장조사 결과를 바탕으로 서해안의 침식 현황을 파악하고, 기 조사된 서해안 지역의 침식에 대한 자료를 바탕으로 침식원인을 유형화하였다. 조사 분석결과 서해안의 대표적인 침식유형은 직립 급경사 호안구조물의 반사파로 인한 해빈침식(자갈화), 사구 토사포락, 직립 급경사 호안구조물 저면 세굴에 의한 호안구조물 붕괴, 방파제 설치에 의한 침식 등 대표적인 4가지 유형으로 분류할 수 있으며, 침식 유형별 발생지점 수는 총 29개 지점 중 각각 19개 지점, 13개 지점, 5개 지점, 4개 지점에서 나타났다. 이는 호안구조물이 미설치된 곳은 사구 토사포락에 의한 침식 발생빈도가 높았고, 반면에 호안구조물이 설치된 곳에서는 호안구조물의 기능 상실로 인한 해빈침식의 발생빈도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 조사지점으로 선정하였던 29개 모든 지점에서 토사유실로 인한 자갈화가 진행되어 서해안의 갯벌, 사구, 해안습지 등이 유실되고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 최근 기후변화에 따른 해수면 상승과 서해안 특성을 고려하지 않은 정형화된 직립 급경사 호안구조물의 역효과로 피해가 발생된 것으로 나타났다.

As the number of units increased by vertical extension is recently allowed according to the Housing Law, the aged apartment remodeling projects using the same allowed method are pursued in several apartment complex located in Bundang and Pyungchon. However, progress of the projects is not advanced due to uncertainty of the process. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to improve a business process model for the aged apartment remodeling in case of the number of units are increased for the remodeling union to pursue the remodeling project easily. In order to improve the process model, requirements for the Housing Act are analyzed, the existing process model is developed based upon the requirements, uncertainty of the existing process is examined and a to be process model is proposed to eliminate the uncertainty. Many architects and engineers are consulted to discuss the uncertainty and process model. This model will help the Government to reform the Housing Act and remodeling unions to pursue the aged apartment remodeling.

Recently, various methods such as energy reduction, Greenhouse gas and etc., has been suggested worldwide. Korea has a lot of deteriorated houses, thus there are many demands for the remodeling. However such studies are scarce. This study analyzed the types of deteriorated housing, also suggests technology list to remodeling through domestic, foreign practices and existing research. This study suggested combination of technology list for small house remodeling by energy simulation and Life Cycle Cost related to windows, insulation and doors. This study that can be applied to the technical performance and economy of the basic research would be the basis of the analysis technique.

Since 1982, schools have been closed down by urbanization in rural areas. 3,386 schools had been closed down by March 2010. The average 300 schools was closed down every year. 55.7% closed schools were sold, 14.5% closed schools were rented. 6.3% closed schools have been utilized as education facilities. First, the closed school should be utilized as education facilities. And it should be utilized as public facilities as well as welfare facilities for local residents. This paper presents a case of the welfare facility remodeled using Don-Yi middle school in Okcheon-Gun, Chungcheongbuk-Do and propose the unit care composition. The main contents is composed of posts, beams floors, stairs. Masonry infill walls and windows ware improved. Corridors were placed. A classroom were divided into 2 rooms with the Korean traditional heating system(on-dol) for four. Other conveniences were designed for a cafeteria, recreation, a restroom as space required. It is effective to utilize the closed school that has magnificent views and orientation, space construction. The Unit-care system is proposed by 4 types developments.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the personality type and the residential evaluation & remodeling preference in interior finishes and floor layouts. The subjects of this investigation were collected through questionnaire from two hundred and twelve adult residents who live in Seoul, Korea. By using the rotated component matrix of varimax method & the one way anova method of spss for windows Rel. 11.0 in my former study, there are analyzed several significances in eight personality types; E(extraversion), I(introversion), S(sensing), N(intuition), T(thinking), F(feeling), J(judging) and P(perceiving) in MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator). This study shows that actual floor plans, remodeling preference plans & interior finishes materials of each personality type was analyzed several significances by Chi-Square. As results, during consulting the client in the residential projects, personality test may take precedence over everything else, and then designer can consider it for hidden client needs in the residential interiors & remodelings. Designers might understand the nature of personality in order to design wisely for clients. This method will allow the designer & consultant to more fully understand clients' preference.
