Analysis of Music and Photo for User Creative Movie (동영상 콘텐츠 생성을 위한 음악과 사진 분석)

  • Consumers changed to the subject to produce a digital contents as data transmission technique is advanced and a digital machine is diffused variously. Users are interested greatly in a user creative movie (UCM) production among various online contents. The UCM production method which uses the music and picture is the method that users make the UCM more easily. However, the UCM production service has the problem that any association does not exist in the music and picture and that the picture changes according to fixed time interval without the relation at a music rhythm. To solve this problem, we propose the UCM production method which uses a music analysis and picture analysis in the paper. A music analysis finds a picture change time according to the rhythm and a picture analysis finds the association of the picture. A music analysis finds strong parts of the sound which uses Root-Mean-Square (RMS). And a picture analysis classifies the picture as a scenery picture and people picture which uses structure simplicity of the picture(SSP) and face region detection. A picture analysis got correct result of 86.4% in the experiment and we can finds the association at each picture and arranges the sequence which the picture appears. Therefore, if we use a music and picture analysis at the UCM production, users may make natural and efficient movie.

Performance Analysis of a Precise Explicit Guidance Algorithm for Space Launch Vehicles (우주발사체의 정밀한 외연적 유도 알고리듬 성능 분석)

  • This paper considers one of the explicit guidance algorithms, which has been proposed by Jaggers, to determine the closed-loop guidance algorithm for upper stages of a 3-staged space launch vehicle. Its commanded thrust vector is closer to the optimal solution when compared with that obtained by using the well-known Powered Explicit Guidance (PEG), which has been developed through the Space Shuttle program. Its performance is evaluated here by applying for guidance of the launcher during the second and third stages. Furthermore, to generate more precise guidance commands, it is attempted not to use the approximate formulas for the derivation of the original guidance law, and it is shown that performance is improved in comparison with the original.

Review of Studies Using a Rhythm Task Intervention and the Rationale for its Formulation (국내 리듬 중재 연구의 중재 구성 및 논거에 대한 고찰)

  • With the recent emphasis on evidence-based research and practice, the field of music therapy has called for rigorous reviews of the scientific data and for therapeutic rationales for research procedures. The purpose of this study was to review studies that used a rhythm task as a therapy intervention in terms of whether they provided a rationale for the components related to the intervention. The components included activity rationale, music rationale, intervention validity, intervention format (individual or group), intervention development (contour), duration, and intervention provider. A total of 41 studies were selected: 22 studies were implemented by music therapists and 19 by professionals in other related fields. In terms of seven assessment categories, only 10 studies were found to report more than four items which are related to a rationale of interventions. The 10 studies identified were further examined to determine if their intervention rationale differed depending on whether the study included a researcher-formulated intervention or an existing music therapy protocol. Of the 10 studies, six used a researcher-formulated rhythm intervention, and four used an existing music therapy protocol. Those studies that used an existing music therapy protocol also provided a clear rationale for music selection, whereas those that used a researcher-formulated rhythm task tended to provide an activity rationale. The results of this study suggest that researchers need to be clearer about their interventions and provide an evidence-based rationale for why and how they use a rhythm task.

Outlier-Object Detection Using an Image Pair Based on Regression Analysis: Noise Variance Estimation and Performance Analysis (영상 쌍에서 회귀분석에 기초한 이상 물체 검출: 잡음분산의 추정과 성능 분석)

  • By comparing two images, which are captured with the same scene at different time, we can detect a set of outliers, such as occluding objects due to moving vehicles. To reduce the influence from the different intensity properties of the images, an intensity compensation scheme, which is based on the polynomial regression model, is employed. For an accurate detection of outliers alleviating the influence from a set of outliers, a simple technique that reruns the regression is employed. In this paper, an algorithm that iteratively reruns the regression is theoretically analyzed by observing the convergence property of the estimates of the noise variance. Using a correction constant for the estimate of the noise variance is proposed. The correction enables the detection algorithm robust to the choice of thresholds for selecting outliers. Numerical analysis using both synthetic and Teal images are also shown in this paper to show the robust performance of the detection algorithm.

  • Sting (Gordon Sumner) is a British musician and singer-songwriter. He was the principal songwriter, lead singer, and bassist for the new wave rock band 'The Police' from 1977 to 1984, before launching a solo career in 1985. With his stylish and sophisticated sensibility and musical spectra, he achieved 100 million album sales. In this thesis, after he disbanded the group THE POLICE, his career as a solo artist with his wide variety of musical colors has been acknowledged for his reputation over more than 30 years. Therefore, I analyze 'Sting' of music included in 'Straight To My Heart' and 'Be Still My Beating Heart' in. Songs in indicate that the drum part the tunes that there is in a record doesn't break away from the basic way of music. The role of the whole rhythm division through the various percussions or can see a synthesizer than the role as the cord musical instrument that there are lots of tunes placing a great deal of weight on the role as the rhythmic musical instrument more. The unique instrument-based rhythm of the early Sting and role dispensation create a unique sound that is quite different from what the musician subsequently recorded. The feature and rhythmic characteristic, which is the arrangement that appeared outstandingly in this record, I am trying to explain about the way in which I lead the basic flow of the tune through the rhythm division of the other musical instruments which I split that is, the drum beat and break away from a rhythm from the divided general way and include a percussion.

A new segmentation method for non-manhattan layout document images using connected component (연결요소 특징을 이용한 복잡한 문서영상의 구조 분석)

  • 본 논문은 일반적으로 제약 없는 형식 문서 즉, 논-맨하탄(non-manhattan) 형식의 이진문서영상을 분석하는 기법으로서, 연결요소기법에 기반한 특징추출과 이를 이용한 영역분리 및 분류에 관한 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방식은 바텀-업(bottom-up)방식으로서 먼저 처리속도의 고속화와 축소시 특징 영역보존을 위해 임계치 축소기법을 사용하고, 축소된 이진 문서영상내의 각 연결된 검은 화소의 집합을 개체화하고 개체의 특성에 따라 텍스트, 신성분, 해프톤, 도형 그리고 표 등으로 분류한다. 영역분류는 두단계로 이루어지는데, 1차분류에서는 우선, B/W 비, 면적, 외각 테두리의 높이와 너비 비, 테두리선유무 등의 특징을 이용하여 해프톤, 수평 수직선, 테두리(표 및 도형)영역을 분리한다. 이후 2차 분류에서는 문자성분의 수평결합을 통한 텍스트행 성분을 추출한다. 마지막 후처리 과정으로 표분석 알고리듬을 통하여 테두리 영역중 표와 도형을 정확히 구분하고, 또한 도형에 관련한 문서성분을 해당 도형 개체에 연결하는 작업을 수행함으로써 완벽한 영역분류를 한다. 다양한 문서영상을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 알고리듬의 성능을 입증한다.
