  • As today's "ninth art", role-playing games recognized by most players due to their surreal themes and sustained reflection on social diseases. Through precise control of story-telling and game visuals, players develop an avatar identification during role-playing game. Based on Lacan's mirror stage theory, a new self-identity mechanism is established under the guidance of role-playing games. As a "player", the subject's interpretation of himself is shifted by the game order, and the subject identifies with the role-playing game while at the same time being structured by the desire of role-playing game. The immersive experience and emotional guidance of role-playing games all point to the most instinctive human desires. The psychoanalytic theory from Lacan's perspective explains the source of players' desire, and the expression of players' desire in the game. It also plays an important role in the emotional rendering and identity aspects of role-playing games. This paper is to establish that role-playing games do have an impact on the player's self-identity through a Lacanian psychoanalytic reading of role-playing games.

  • NOS education through the history of science is regarded effective. However, science teaching has been criticized for not considering the interest of the learners enough and providing the context of learning themes that hinder the understanding of NOS. This study intends to convey the NOS element through the rich context of storytelling. The theme of the story is the history of continental drift, in which, the debate of many scientists and Wegener's creativity are prominent. Of the various media that deliver storytelling, the most powerful medium that leads to personal immersion is computer games, and among many kinds of games, the main genre of storytelling is role-playing games (RPGs). We developed the science history role-playing game (SHRPG) focusing on continental drift. The game development procedure followed Kim's 4F process (2017), which consists of the Figure Out, Focus, Fun Design, and Finalize. The story was constructed based on the NOS elements of Lederman et al. (2002), namely creativity and imagination demand, subjectivity, socio-cultural personality and tentativeness, which are all present in the story of the continental drift theory. The mechanics and rules of the RPG included quests, rewards, quizzes, NOS scores, and rankings. In the final phase of development, the game developed was pilot tested four times. The results of the tests showed that students' understanding of NOS through SHRPG has increased, especially in the creativity domain. The students' satisfaction with the fun, sympathy, and immersion during the game was very high.

  • Generally, a Learning Games made based on Off-line. But Today, Web based learning has been used for many educational system by aid of the development of internet technique. If Off-line learning game serviced by On-line learning game, can provide learner with interesting and growing learner's study will. In this paper, I design the Mathematical of Elementary school Roll playing game for learning based on On-line. This is matched the point of On-line game with the point of Learning. A Learner's mathematical technic will be improve by The Mathematical On-line Roll playing game for Elementary school student. A student's ability of self directed learning and solving problem is expended too.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore educational awareness and meaning by applying an role-playing game (RPG) type class based on constructivism in physical education class in middle school. Regarding the research method, data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observations, and related documents, and data analysis was performed using case record analysis, inductive category analysis method, and case extraction process. Results of the study First, in terms of teachers' perceptions, there are both positive and negative aspects of teachers' perceptions of middle school physical education classes using the role-playing game (RPG) format. Second, in terms of educational meaning, the educational meaning of middle school physical education classes using the role-playing game (RPG) format emphasizes the need for a systematic lesson plan and sufficient support system. In conclusion, positive attitudes toward physical education as well as educational implications can be formed, and the basic foundation of the constructivist physical education class method and its preparation are thought to be of greater significance than anything else.

  • This study analyzed the importance of user activity, communication between users and identity establishment by growth and change of player's character through users' communication structure and then it classified such an importance into activity by group, dealings, information sharing, duel and strategy performance. It also looked into the plans to revitalize smooth social relationship and suggested for users to behave with responsibility in virtual society. In the virtual space where thousands of people connect and interact with each other every day, users find out their identities through human relationship with others proceeding solo story. What is more important is that users consider virtual space as a society and feel collective responsibility on words and behavior against others.

  • Reinforcement learning, in which artificial intelligence develops itself to find the best solution to problems, is a technology that is highly valuable in many fields. In particular, the game field has the advantage of providing a virtual environment for problem-solving to reinforcement learning artificial intelligence, and reinforcement learning agents solve problems about their environment by identifying information about their situation and environment using observations. In this experiment, the instant dungeon environment of the RPG game was simplified and produced and various observation variables related to the field of view were set to the agent. As a result of the experiment, it was possible to figure out how much each set variable affects the learning speed, and these results can be referred to in the study of game RPG reinforcement learning.
